The class here is a well-rounded workout. It focuses on strength and control but also gives you some good exertion. The instructor I had was very experienced and went around making a lot of corrections on form.So there was a lot of personalized attention throughout the class. The studio has lockers and a changing room and a nice seating area where you can wait for the class before you to end. There's also free parking, which is always appreciated. The studio staff was very welcoming and professional. The only downside was that the workout room can start to feel a little cluttered when everyone is using the mats because of the configuration of the room. read more

Came to Pure Barre with a friend for our first time ever and We had such a great experience! The instructor named Rebeca Pabon, was amazing. From the minute I walked into the studio and she greeted me. I explained to her that I have not worked out for a while. She explained the terminology and moves that will be completed during the class. This helped a lot for me to get through the class because these workouts are different than your average workout. I recommend coming to her classes! She was full of energy and motivates each individual during her workouts! The class duration was 50 minutes. Can't wait to come back for another class! Every single class is a full-body workout targeting arms, legs, abs, and buns. The movements may be small ... "Up an inch, down an inch" ... but don't underestimate the power of these small movements. You WILL feel the burn. Feeling the burn means you WILL get results. Pure Barre is low/no impact, which is perfect for me. I am not a fan of high impact, nor am I fond of intense cardio routines. I AM a fan, however, of long, lean muscles and toned physiques! Great classes, great instructors with fun music makes this 45 min class go very fast. Its definitely helpful to take the basic class since most classes are fast paced. Since certain wording & moves will be repeated in all classes like "tuck & push" you will not be as lost as we were with my bff ... its a totally different workout, you will feel the burn, legs will be shaking if you are doing it right. Convenient hours & scheduling with their app makes things easier. If i wouldn't be moving i would definitely pay for an extra package after my 10 classes from groupon (amazing price!) I can be a little intimidated by going to workout classes, but this is the most welcoming, cozy workout atmosphere I have entered. From the moment you walk in, the front staff is friendly and ask you about your day. They have an amazing little boutique with all of my favorite stylish workout clothing brands (like ALO!) so I love to come in to shop before classes. The owners, Allison and Ryann, both teach the classes and are so passionate about what they do. If their bodies are any indication of what Pure Barre can do for you, then I'm sold! Once I put on my sparkly sticky socks (another fun and fashionable excuse to barre), I head into the carpeted room to stretch before class. The music play lists are always pumping and make the 55 minute workout so much fun! I love how the choreography changes pretty much every class. What I love about the Pure Barre workout is that it is pretty low impact, but you see results IMMEDIATELY. It is such a core strengthener - holy abs! I have never done a workout that I am so able to fit into my schedule. The Pure Barre workout is perfect for anyone on the go because it's only 55 minutes and you won't leave completely drenched with sweat, so can go straight back to work if you need (no excuses to skip a workout). Parking is easy and free and you can come during your lunch break and grab Chicken Kitchen or a smoothie on your way out (all next door). I equate it a bit to pilates, where it is low impact and you don't leave a sweaty mess walking out the door. But don't be mistaken about the results you will see in your body. These small isometric movements will definitely leave you sore the next day. I have discovered muscles I never knew existed! The great thing about this workout for me is that I build muscle pretty quickly and I worry about bulking up too much. This is pretty much the only workout I have ever done that leaves me perfectly toned, with a lifted seat and nice feminine silhouette. I love Pure Barre Pinecrest! The staff and teachers are SO nice and helpful. You'll get such a good workout and feel great afterwards. The best part is, your first week is FREE, so you can test out the classes and see if you like them. If you do decide to sign up, they do a special entry membership of $99 for an unlimited month, which is such a good deal!! Not to mention, the studio itself is so nicely decorated, always super clean, and smells really good. They even have a nice selection of regular work out clothes and Pure Barre apparel for sale if you need some new leggings or what not. The entire staff was so kind and helpful for my friend and me on our first visit. We wanted a change from our normal fitness routines and definitely got that at Pure Barre. The quick pace of the class makes the difficult moves, a little bit easier to do. I left feeling accomplished and strong! I'm only likely to recommend it to a friend I know will pay the somewhat steep price, though. They should offer a higher student discount, as it is unlikely I will revisit too many times after my free trial. Very challenging and fun class for those with a high fitness level! read more

I confess. I am an older lady (as opposed to just old). The only part of my body that was in shape was the hand that holds my wine glass. I felt guilty about not working out, but hated all gyms in my area. I tried pure barre because it was near my house. The owner and instructors are very welcoming. I was struggling in the class, and the instructor came and very quietly showed me how to adapt the exercise to my level. No embarrassment! I have been to four classes and am doing a little better every class. I feel good about it. One suggestion- if you are a newbie to pure barre, they offer every few weeks a "breaking down the barre" class which explains all the moves. Highly recommend it read more

Totally obsessed with this studio. Tried this workout for the first time last month and they make you feel at ease right away. Studio is super clean and bathroom filled with Molton Brown and Jo Malone, ummm I'll come just for that. Allison is one of my favorite teachers, super high energy , great voice and always acknowledges when you are doing well. But I really like Lisa and Anne, pretty much they are all great!!! . I only wish I knew about this place earlier. After SI Injury doing Ashtanga, I'm really glad I found something that I enjoy just as much. read more

Walking into Pure Barre feels like walking in my own front door. I'm always greeted with the smiling faces of the studio owners and teachers who take the time to get to know me. It took me one whole class to get hooked. ONE. I've never enjoyed a workout more, where I'm completely fatiguing every muscle in my body, but doing it in a fun, upbeat way. I noticed results within my first five classes. I can't say that about any other workout program or studio I've tried. Pure Barre feels like it was created to work all the trouble spots I have as a women: arms, thighs, seat, abs, love handles, saddle bags. It tones like nothing else I've tried, and creates long, lean muscles without the bulk. The studio is clean and always smells amazing (Jo Malone products in the bathroom? Yes please!). I'm usually nervous to participate in studio classes for fear of looking inexperienced, but the teachers are so great at guiding you into position, and carefully making hands-on corrections to make sure every move I do will be safe and effective. And the clients I'm working out beside are some of the nicest people I've met. Such a fun and uplifting place to lift, tone, and burn my muscles into shape! read more

If I could give this location zero stars I would. I was rubbed the wrong way to begin when upon our first visit we were told sticky socks were required in the studio, and we would need to purchase them for $18. Eighteen dollars for SOCKS. This is something that should have been specified in the Groupon. Come our second visit, I noticed women slip in with regular socks and weren't told anything. On Feb 16 or so I put a call in to the studio saying my dog went missing under someone's watch while I was out of town and I was spending all my time searching for her. I asked if I could either pause the time I had left and restart it in a week or two, or have an extension as the Groupon package of classes must be used within a month. I spoke to two young ladies, left my name and number on the machine multiple times, always being promised a call back. Today on March 1 I finally got in touch with someone (I had to call again) and she did stick to her word and get back to me. She said the owner was not willing to extend the time. What upsets me about this is, I called multiple times before my package expired and no one bothered to get back to me. It is an extremely shady business practice and I'm extremely disappointed. read more

Pure Barre Pinecrest is an amazing workout at a fantastically run studio! I am writing to review two things--the workout and the business: The Pure Barre Workout - I have been doing barre for two years, consistently for almost a year. I have been a believer in mainly HIIT workouts for most of my life. I was attracted to barre to strengthen my core and will say that I was skeptical and ignorant to thinking that a "ballet" "fitness in socks" could not bode results. Well, I.WAS.WRONG. Within a month, I started noticing more definition and strength in my core and arms as well as relief in lower back pain. I found this fitness class to be challenging and the focus on isometric contractions enhanced my flexibility, balance, and build strength. If you are looking for a lower impact workout and "strong lean" results this workout is for you. I also found this to be such a great way to practice mindfulness. The best thing about barre is that it truly is for any type of person from advanced to beginners and you can go at your own pace and level. The Pinecrest Studio - I have been to various barre studios throughout the US and from the moment I walked into this studio I was blown away! ...before I get to the studio, let me mention a few key and imperative pluses of Pure Barre Pinecrest prior to even walking in the door: THERE IS AMPLE AND FREE PARKING [almost nonexistent in Miami!!!] and it is located in a plaza that I can also do errands and grocery shop in-double win! Back to the studio: the studio is absolutely pristine, I loved the décor and inviting and openness. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Ryann, one of the Owners who welcomed me and asked me if I needed anything and showed me around the main area to change and place my belongings. I love that the cubbies are off to the side and behind the merchandise wall out from view of the main entrance/others. The barre room seemed massive [event compared to other Pure Barre locations I have been in] with so much room and wall to wall mirrors. The class was absolutely amazing [Ryann taught], loved the music, and she gave great positive reinforcement. The clients seemed to have a diverse ranged in terms of level, and I felt very comfortable in the class. I truly believe the Owners and instructors make the experience and they exceeded my expectations. I am looking forward to LTB-ing with the other PB Pinecrest instructors and recommend if you are in Pinecrest, Miami, or South FL to check out this studio run by fantastic, passionate & energetic leaders! read more
