Pilates is amazing, and Pilates One in Coconut Grove is the perfect place to experience it. This studio, which has been in business for nearly 20 years, offers so much more than a workout. They've created a space with a unique energy--walking in, you instantly feel safe and at home. I just finished a "Jump Class," and what a workout it was! It challenged me in ways I never expected, leaving me feeling stronger and more energized. The class was led by Jeannine, the owner, who has mastered the art of motivating and supporting her clients. Her approach is encouraging without being overwhelming, which is rare to find in a fitness studio. Even as a beginner, I felt comfortable and capable in her class. Pilates One has truly inspired me to make Pilates a core part of my fitness routine. I'm already seeing and feeling the difference, and I couldn't be more excited to continue this journey. This studio is nestled in a small shopping area near the MayFair Hotel and there is plenty of street or garage parking around the area. I have done mat Pilates in the past and I have always wanted to try it on the reformer machine. I'm so happy to have had the opportunity to. Christa was the instructor for our class and she was awesome :). She helped me feel comfortable on the machine and adjusted my form as necessary throughout the class. She definitely made the 1 hour class challenging, fun, yet not strenuous. I broke a little sweat and am currently feeling a little sore and it's a great feeling! While I love challenging HIIT workouts, my health coach suggested that I add Pilates / yoga into my routine at least once a week to help with stretching and also the mind body connection. Enter Pilates strong- it's a reformer workout and I absolutely love it. What I love about taking Alma's classes is she gets to know what areas you need work on and helps you focus on them. She also has great music. I also enjoy the owner, Nancy's, classes when I can make it to those. Overall this is a super lovely studio. I have a lot of friends who are skeptical about trying Pilates because the reformer can be intimidating. I would definitely say to try Pilates strong, as the class size is 6 or less so you get a lot of individual attention.

I'll admit, the lack of mirrors threw me off at first. I'm so used to watching my form that I wasn't sure how I'd manage. Turns out, it didn't matter one bit. If anything, it pushed me to tune inward rather than rely on my reflection. Instructor Sabrina is the real standout. She guided us through variations that looked deceptively simple and left us genuinely sweating by the end. Challenging in the best way. Will absolutely be back.

I've heard that Pilates makes you gain more strength and build muscle which should help my overall shoulder discomfort and it was surprising how this specific class did that as soon as I started the training. The studio is tucked in the base floor of a nice retail building right in the heart of Sunset Place. At first glance, it shines with neatness and coziness as the warm host who registers the checks in greets you as if she were your friend for a lifetime and that positive attitude is what you need when trying to unplug from daily work stress. I was introduced immediately to our instructor, Sabrina Segura, whose charisma was evident since she greeted me and the rest of the participants. I signed up for the 50-minute All-Level Pilates, and glad that I did because it refreshed me on all the basic and not-so-basic movements by covering a complete workout. Also by adding more springs, the tightness made me push for more effort while doing the exercises. Sabrina was so professional from the start, explaining very detail each exercise without losing sight of all of our postures, and at the same time keeping an upbeat pace throughout the complete journey. The complete session felt like therapy, for the first time I didn't think of anything else than trying to make my postures better and align with the instructions. Actually, by the end, I was even encouraged to do more of it. I could have easily lasted around one more hour. Sabrina made it feel so easy and effortless, but at the same time, the after-effect of the exercise felt as if I had lifted weights during an earlier slot. When you experience the dedication of Sabrina to each of her students you will notice how passionate she is about her Pilates practices. The ambiance of the studio is very friendly, and it seems like everyone knows each other, which transmits a family-style environment, which resonates with the overall concept of Pilates in the Grove. The bathroom is available for all students and they have a mini fridge with plenty of water to refresh. Looking forward to trying them again and hopefully under a wonderful instructor like Sabrina.

I have been a client of this Studio for a couple of years…read more "Studio M Pilates and Yoga" is fairly new but not really, it used to be under a different name and with a different approach and same quality although, now in my opinion is more comprehensive and offers more variety of classes. The quality of the instructors are unbeatable, they know how to make the sessions worth it, the exercises are catered to individual needs as much as possible, you can tell that they care, they know us by name, they know what type of injury or limitations each of us have, they have advance classes or beginners, there is something for everybody, look for the class that will be good for you and try them. I honestly feel like right now, they are one of the best in the market. The instructors Michelle, Marion, Cristina, Keisha, each of them have their own style I have been fortunate to receive classes from all of them and they are amazing, Everybody in the studio is great. I am so happy that I joined this very professional studio where I actually feel motivated to attend the classes.
