The name of JetSet Pilates is misleading, the class is NOT your typical Pilates class! I received a prize to try a JetSet pilates class for free, and decided to choose the Brickell location. The studio was very hard to find, there are no signs outside (or inside). I had to ask the building staff at the Infinity to figure out where JetSet was located. The studio was nice and clean, and had a view of the city, which was something I wasn't used to for Pilates classes in the Brickell area. I'm someone who works out regularly, and I barely survived this workout. I shook so much that the instructor told me he was giving me a free twerk session and that "shaking is a sign you are killing fat off your body!" My instructor's name was Vinny and I found him to be incredibly challenging, but also supportive. The girls who take the classes here are incredibly fit, which could be very intimidating if you have never been to a Pilates class. If you are not working out regularly and want to try Pilates, do not waste your money for a class here, because you won't be able to do a lot of the exercises. Also, the studio is very expensive, and this JetSet location does not offer classes on ClassPass (other JetSet studios in Miami are on ClassPass, and there are plenty of challenging Pilates classes on ClassPass that aren't as advanced). I won't be back unless they decide to join ClassPass because membership here is too expensive for me, but I am happy I got to try it (and realize I am not as in shape as I thought!)

Not only was the teacher incompetent, her passive-aggressive, bullying behavior ruined the experience for my friend. Just no.

Cardio and leg day in 30 minutes, yes please! This studio conducts its workouts on stationary…read moreclimbers in darkened and club-like lighting with great energy. You can expect to get a little breathless and sweaty within a few minutes of starting since they start you right away with active climbing. It takes a little time to get used to stepping and pushing/pulling vertically while strapped into the climber, since the movement is different from your other daily activities. You need to remind yourself not to crane your head and neck back---don't worry, your head will not hit the climber center pole, trust me I've tried. But if it's good enough for Bradley Cooper (see the article about Rise Nation they have posted next to the restroom), it must be good enough for me. If you're going for the first time, make sure to look at the schedule and see what levels are being offered in their classes. They have classes ranging from Level I (good for beginners, can add on) to Level III ("EXTREME"), so pay attention to what you attend. The staff and instructors are very nice and helpful about getting you situated on the climber, so don't hesitate to tell them if it's your first time. Hint: the handles that you grab onto can be removed and put in different height holders, which they will tell you. The instructors will tell you that they go between a "mid range" (regular strides) and "long range" (full strides). Their cues will alternate between these ranges, different resistances and faster/slower paces. Once you get used to the climber, don't be afraid to go faster, "rip" (reach and stride) longer and increase resistance when they instruct you to. Remember, you need to get it all in within 30 minutes! The actual class time can run up to 35-40 minutes if you stay for the full cool down and stretch, so don't expect to bolt out in 30 minutes if you want the full workout experience. It's still a very efficient workout if you're looking to change up your exercise routine! They offer lots of promotional packages that give you 10 classes for $10-15 each, so look for them online and when you go! And/or use the amazing ClassPass like me, since each class costs 6-7 credits. Parking is not too bad for the Design District, since there is a lot of street parking within a block or two of the studio's building. There's a juice bar on the same block if you want to treat yourself for all the good work you've done! Try it out, see you there soon!

**Jet Set Pilates Review**…read more Ive been. Attempting JETSET Edgewater and South Beach for almost 2 years The classes cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners, offering plenty of modifications to make the exercises manageable. This is particularly helpful as many of the movements can feel quite challenging initially. One important requirement is to wear grippy socks for class, which aid in stability. If you don't already own a pair, they sell them on-site for $20-$25 USD. While I usually use ClassPass to enjoy these classes, they also offer various monthly membership plans. I highly recommend trying a class before committing to a package, as the workouts are much more intense than they might appear. Many people mistakenly believe it's just a stretch class, but it's far more rigorous and can transform your body in just 2-3 sessions. My favorite instructors are Randy, Michelle, and Brenda, who all bring their unique strengths to the classes. The studio itself is always clean, and they even sell stylish workout clothes and Celsius energy drinks if you need an extra boost. In summary, Jet Set Pilates is an amazing studio with a welcoming atmosphere, expert instructors, and a wide range of offerings that will push you to achieve your fitness goals. I recommend coming early so you can find parking and have the instructor throughly explain how to use the reformer.

I attended a class with a bachelorette party so obviously there was a big group of us. After said class, i purchased a "Drippin' in Finesse" hat that they were selling. I let one of the girls in our party try it on and she inadvertently left it behind instead of handing it to me. When i realized i was missing the hat, we were no longer in the area, and with no means to go back and retrieve it. Distraught, I called Vixen in hopes that they could do anything for me. I was at least hoping to get my money back, as opposed to being out $28 and no hat. By the time i heard from them, we had left Miami all together, so i thought all was lost But on the contrary, they were sorry that i had left the hat and that they could possibly mail it to me if i would be ok with paying for the packaging fee! They could've easily said no to my request, but instead they went to great lengths to send me my beloved hat. Thanks so much vixen! I wish i lived in the area just cuz i feel like i would be treated like part of the family there. You girls are beyond great. Thanks so much for going above and beyond for me! I really appreciated it!!!

The dance class itself was a major workout. I sweat more during the class than I do running on the treadmill at the gym!! I was amazed by how much fun I was having, all while getting in an incredible workout. I definitely recommend this to all the ladies of yelp! You'll leave feeling strong, feminine, and fierce! #VIXENARMY
