Pure Barre Scottsdale has changed my life! I went to my first class with poor body image and after the first hour, I was hooked! The instructors and owners are fun, fresh, dedicated and very helpful. Although some may be shocked by the sticker price, they offer fun discounts and deals periodically that keep clients coming back for more! It's simple...if you are thinking about trying this -Stop thinking and sign up! I am running out of jeans that fit me in my closet. After two months of Pure Barre everything is fitting me much looser. Belts are required now and I seem to be missing a roll I once had-- not to mention I am getting plenty of compliments on my newly toned arms. Before you think that I am new to exercise and that's why my results are so great --you should know there aren't many forms of exercise I haven't tried.....running, cycling, hiking, hot yoga, spin, pilates etc . For the last 15 years I have worked out at least 4 days a week and most weeks 6 days...., but Pure Barre is all I have done for two months. This workout works every part of the body and the results are noticeable and quick. I don't miss my cellulite! Veronica and Marirose, the owners, couldn't be any nicer or helpful--not to mention they have a great sense of humor....There is a very low level of "Snottsdaleness" which to me is an added BONUS. All of the staff is friendly and welcoming especially Liz at the front desk. This class is HARD!!! The more you take it the harder it gets, because as you get better at your form it causes you to work those muscles harder. There isn't a muscle they miss. My flexibility has improved dramatically as well ...for the first time in my 40-something years , I am doing the splits (ok....only on one side but hey...it's a start.) The class moves fast and the music is loud! There is little chance of getting bored as the routine changes constantly. I highly recommend Pure Barre. LOVE IT!! read more

I REALLY didn't think that the staff was friendly or welcoming to someone brand new to their establishment.

First off these 5 star reviews are written by instructors that work there. The owner Veronica needs to check her attitude (putting it nicely) and her sister should not be business owners. It is the most stuck up group and it stems from the owners. There is a Barre studio on every street corner and this is one I don't recommend!!! The talk garbage about everyone... Really? They run it like a group of catty high school girls. Don't even get me started on the classes. If you have taken classes for a month they ask you if you want to be an instructor. Most of the instructors absolutely blow. Take $200 a month to any other barre studio but this one. This place SU---!!!!! read more

I've been going to Pure Barre for about a month- I'm already noticing changes in my arms, butt and legs! The class is intense but moves so fast it's over before you know it. Pure Barre was a good workout, but I have to say I've been doing Tracey Anderson Method for three years and I felt Pure Barre was just another knockoff of what's already out there. Let's be honest muscle exhaustion is not a new concept.You are paying for the new trendy name and studio atmosphere. If you have never tried methods that train your stabilizing muscles you will probably love the Pure Barre studio. This type of workout pulls in your muscles as apposed to bulking them and tightens skin to the muscle for ladies who struggle with cellulite etc. Check it out if this sounds different than what you've been doing. read more

I was taken to Pure Barre with a couple of my 'gym rat' girlfriends. We were continually at the gym doing straight cardio, and random weights. We did classes like spinning, kick boxing, etc....I walked in thinking this class was going to be a breeze. I quickly found out that I was wrong!...A combination of using your own body weight, isometric holds, squats, and a ballet bar--this class is like nothing I've ever done. It's an hour long, and targets multiple muscle groups. It's SUCH a good mix up from the typical gym routine. Best part--they play AMAZING music. The instructors are sooo helpful and make everyone of every age and body type feel welcome. I've been going for a little over a month, and my body has never felt better. Try it, fo sho! read more

I started going to Pure Barre about 5 weeks ago and absolutely love it! I've visited the Scottsdale, North Scottsdale and Phoenix location and love them all. The teachers are great and so friendly and helpful, especially making sure you have the right form in class. I have been going for almost 2 years. It will be 2 years come this December 2015. I wanted something that would help my arthritis. Nothing will help my arthritis I know other than me attempting to keep my body in motion. So I started exercising again after my sister asked me to try Pure Barre wth her. It wasn't easy my first time but I loved it. I love this location but that is partly because it is close to home. I did try the Phoenix location but it seems smaller somehow. I love the instructors. They are kind and encourging and push you to work harder when they think they can push you and you are open to it. The owners are great and Mari-Rose is also fun and kind. She knows just what workout we all need and I swear she glances at who and what body types are in her class and tailors it on the spot to a certain degree. I love our old instuctors, Abby, Jasmine and Allie, but we have some new ones now and they are quite good too. The instructors take pride in their classes and I feel they really want us to succeed. I have noticed I am gaining more strength and muscle tone. I go almost everyday. It is for all shapes and sizes and you really get a great workout. You can get as much or as little as you put into it. It changes daily for me with what I can and cannot do based on my arthritis and pain level. We use bands (resistance), weights and some cardio and incorporate stretches after some sets. I truly love it. If anyone had a bad experience or has suggestions I feel the instructors and owners are open to listening to concerns. The front office staff truly deserve a medal and are all so kind, helpful and accomodating. Love you girls at the front and the occasional male front office staffers!!! The only downside is the price. It is pricey so that's why I go so often to make it worthwhile. Also, some classes get pretty full but they always make room for everyone and I feel give indiviualized instruction and correction when needed and welcomed. P.S. the people I have met there are incredible men and women. I love it! Oh, and I would not have posted a complete review if I failed to mention the front office staff, without whom, Pure Barre Scottsdale would not thrive! Brit, Megan, Gaby, Alex, Sam, etc etc (forgive me for others I didn't name) make the whole experience truly wonderful. I love these guys. I've been doing pure barre now for 3 months and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it. I recommend it to all my friends and can't stop talking about it. It really makes it fun to work out, the songs are great, the movements are hard but doable. What I love most is the comfortable environment the teachers are awesome and make it really feel like a safe environment to work out. I recommend Jenny, Marirose, Veronica, Abby, or Jasmine. They are by far the best classes I have taken and I've taken from over 9 teachers. I've only ever had one bad experience with a class, and that was Katie's class, I only say this because I felt she was very rude when teaching. I've seen her around the studio as well and I feel like she thinks she is better than everyone else, and it's very standoffish. But every other teacher and happy face of clients makes up for one rotten tomato. Pure barre makes it easy to schedule classes, but I do recommend that if you are going for the later classes to sign up in advanced. As crazy as the charging you $20 if you don't show up, it's genius because it keeps you accountable to show up. Overall I feel most comfortable at the Scottsdale location, but the Arcadia and Chandler locations are great too. Arcadia is much smaller, Chandler is bigger and the Scottsdale is somewhere in between. Even with the expensive pricing, it's totally worth it! I look forward to class and feel much healthier and happier. I haven't seen a huge difference in my body but I have felt a huge difference. I feel lighter and tighter.
