I have been going to Pure Barre since 8/2018 and I have seen more changes in my body than when I did CrossFit for 1.5 years! The classes may look easy, but you will challenge your body in ways you have never before. The isometric movements and pulses are difficult, but worth it when the changes start to occur in your body! For someone with experience in several different barre studios, this is a decent studio. I am torn because I always got a tough and worthwhile workout here but other things irritated me. I didn't like how classes were so so similar. Sometimes I was pretty sure it was the exact same class I took a couple of days before, and sometimes I think they only changed one thing. Teachers were not helpful with form at all. They would demonstrate a position one time and get out of it, all the while I'm looking around with a confused face not sure if I was doing it right but the instructors did not provide any additional guidance so if you missed the first demonstration, good luck. Sam was the best instructor I took but there was a big drop off in quality from her to other instructors I took, in my opinion. They seemed less experienced, one girl seemed really new and unsure of correct set up for exercises. I do like the vibe and decor, it's both comfortable and trendy. But this will not be my home studio, mostly because of the lack of diversity between the exercises. read more

I admit...I have workout ADHD. At any given time, I'm a member of 3-4 gyms/studios in an effort to keep my routine varied enough to keep it fun. But one thing never changes- I'm always at Pure Barre. I love it because of the small class size. It's challenging for whatever level you want to be challenged on that particular day. I'm stronger, but in a good, feminine way. Well, it really does lift, it really does tone, and it sure does burn! I love the workouts. Yes, they can be difficult but I don't pay to take a nap- I pay to get the body I want! No one exercise is very long so if you can mentally concentrate, grit your teeth, and bend just a little lower, suddenly the hour is up and you feel like a champion. The instructors are great and always remember everyone by name. The one thing I would say is that it is very expensive. So, that is something to consider before getting addicted! read more

This is my second review of Pure Barre because I love it so much!!! Now that I'm two months in, I love it more than when I started. Every work out of different so I don't get bored. Every instructor who I have taken a class from has been phenomenal. The front desk staff are so friendly and personable (I love that they remember my name, I'm a sucker for good customer service). And even the retail shopping is fun! But the most amazing thing is that I can feel my body getting stronger during each class. I can do more each time I'm there and that is a wonderful feeling coming from a personal who was completely side lined for a few years with an injury. I LOVE this studio. I was pretty intimidated and skeptical before I went to my first class due to some experiences in yoga where i felt like I was way too inexperienced to be there. However, I could not have been more wrong! The instructors make sure they pay attention to you (whether or not you are new) and will help you with modifications and useful corrections. There's nothing worse than going to a workout class where you keep doing the wrong thing over and over and over again. This definitely doesn't happen here. They won't let you cheat yourself on anything, but if you aren't super advanced you won't feel bad or embarrassed at all. The classes are fun, the music is loud, and the instructors are awesome. It never feels like an hour. All the staff are great too, everyone knows your name and if they don't they make sure to ask. Can't say enough great things or stop recommending it to friends! Pure Barre Phoenix is amazing! I started Pure Barre at the end of June, and after just a few classes I could see and feel the difference in my body.My sister begged me to come to a class, she knew I would love it. I don't even like to work out, but I am addicted! It's a hard workout, but fun at the same time. Every class is different, and even though it's tough, it's so worth it! The instructors are keep you going and take the time to make sure you are doing everything right. They inspire me! I just wish I could go more often. I feel better in my clothes, and actually have to go by new pants because I have lost inches in my waist, hips and legs. I have definition in my arms that I haven't had in 20 years. I love Pure Barre! It is one of the best workouts I've ever had and it never really gets easier so its difficult to get in a rut. You see results within a few classes and just 10 classes later you start to see a new body. The classes can be full at times and it definitely requires you to plan ahead but at the end I'm really happy I did it. The only thing that keeps me from going all the time is that the $175 a month can get pretty pricey after awhile and have to take a break. I highly recommend it and Lift, Tone and Burn on! read more

I will start by saying I HATE to workout. I have tried just about everything and have serious issues sticking with a plan. I have been coming to this location for roughly a year off and on and Pure Barre changed that for me. It is a fun, high energy, result producing workout that keeps you coming back for more. While the cost may seem high, it is comparable to any other workout class in the area and when it comes down to it, you can't put a price on your health. The instructors are incredible - they correct your form when incorrect and call you out when you are doing a great job. In addition, there are class times to fit almost any schedule. I would (and do!) without question recommend pure barre to all of my friends. There are 2 main reasons pure barre is awesome and will change your life: 1. The workout itself! I used to be that girl that could never do a single pushup and was 100% convinced it was because my arms was just built weak (LOL). I now have arm muscles I never even knew existed let alone on me! 3 of my friends started doing barre after they have seen my transformation. Everyone notices! I've managed to lose those extra 5-10lbs i never could with other work outs, I'm at my high school weight now, went down from a medium to a small in pretty much everything, dropped 2 dress sizes, and a pant size, not to mention I am more toned than I have ever even dreamed of being (all in less than 3 months). And I can even have a cookie or 2 every now and then and not feel bad.This is a workout you can really stick with because you see results almost instantaneously. But you will also work hard for those thighs! Barre has also helped me get better at hiking even, as my legs are stronger than ever. 2. The girls that work there! If I had to describe my "workout personality", I'd say that I am someone who enjoys working out on my own. I think of exercise as my alone time where I can clear my head. Therefore, I have been completely blown away by Pure Barre. This place has turned me into a total devotee, and for the first time ever, I have truly become addicted to an actual workout class! About a year ago, my world turned upside down when I suddenly found myself crippled by an overuse/muscle imbalance injury. Both of my knees were completely shot, and I could barely walk from one room to the next without buckling over in excruciating pain. At the ripe old age of 26, I was saddened by my lack of mobility. I've been extremely active all my life, and putting my usual running and weight lifting routine on hold really upset me. While I was prescribed a lengthy course of physical therapy, it just wasn't enough. I needed something to get my heart rate up and keep me from going crazy. My physical therapist suggested I try yoga or Pilates. I checked out a couple of different studios in the valley but I dreaded going to class. I want to sweat, and sweat hard when I exercise. Therefore, yoga and Pilates just didn't suit me. Still desperate to find something that I could at least tolerate, I started looking into barre classes. Before my first Pure Barre class, I went to the two other barre-type studios in the valley. And while those two other studios got me excited about barre-type workouts, I wasn't a fan of the actual studio environments. I felt uncomfortable and awkward going to class, and for me, I need to feel comfortable or else I will avoid the class like the plague! On my third attempt to find a barre studio, I went to check out Pure Barre. I guess that old saying really does hold true, the third time is most definitely the charm! I fell in love with Pure Barre instantly. I enjoy Pure Barre so much because it's a workout that actually works. I saw results, felt better and stood taller after my first 10-15 classes. The strengthening and lengthening changed my knees for the better and accelerated my recovery. Plus, the music is fantastic and super motivating. But the main reason why I adore this studio is because the instructors are unbelievably awesome, and they actually make me feel like more than just a face in class. I love the personalized attention and how they correct my form without having to call out my name and single me out in front of the entire class (other studios did that and it drove me nuts). Instead, the Pure Barre instructors just quietly walk around the room and gently correct everyone's form. This makes the setting so much more comfortable and relaxing. It allows me to zone out and really focus on the movements. And, I couldn't even pick a favorite instructor if I tried. All of them rock! The owners (and sisters), Veronica & Marirose, are also extremely welcoming and incredibly sweet. It is very clear that they know and care about all of their clients. The fact that this studio turned someone like me (who avoids group workout classes AND has bad knees) into a regular attendee, exemplifies the power and effectiveness of the Pure Barre method. It's a high-intensity workout that gets results and is gentle on my knees. I couldn't ask for more! It's now been about a year since my first Pure Barre class, and it just keeps getting better and better. My advice? Stop thinking about it and give Pure Barre a try! read more

I've been taking classes from a new instructor Jasmine, who is really upbeat and friendly, while still doing a great job at kicking my butt in the workouts! I started Pure Barre because my mom had bought a two week deal through Living Social. After those two weeks, I was hooked. Being a dancer for so long, this workout reminded me how much I missed the "dancer" exercise and the way it made me feel and look. I love how low impact the workout is without jolting your joints even my mom has continued to Lift Tone Burn through Pure Barre. The music is upbeat and the teachers are encouraging. I've recommended a lot of friends, most who have found what I have found--- a passion for this workout. There's so many positive things to say. When I first discovered PB online, I searched and searched for at least one bad review. I couldn't find a single one. So I decided to attend a one-time $23 class. I initially envisioned PB being pretentious and click-y, but upon walking through the front doors I quickly realized these were not characteristics of pure barre. All of the girls are so nice, knowledgable and patient, and the instructors are there to adjust and guide you. There are women of all ages in class-- not judging, but empowering each other. Since day one, PB has changed my life. After my first class I couldn't wait to go back. It's now literally the highlight of my every other day. The results I FELT were instantaneous. I wouldn't say I was overweight, but to my standards, I was not where I wanted to be-- I like feeling strong and being toned. With 3-4 classes per week, clean eating, sufficient hydration and sleep, I was able to SEE results by my 5th class. I am fully addicted and couldn't be happier. What you put in is what you get out. I love this place!! I had never taken a pure barre class before (or even heard of it) and I can now say I'm addicted! The classes are just the right amount of intensity so you get an amazing and challenging workout but not too much where you don't want to return. I've been going to Pure Barre for 5 months now and I absolutely love it! Prior to starting at Pure Barre Phoenix I was a regular at Karve Studio in Old Town for more than two years with disappointing results. I've seen way more change in my body in the last 5 months at Pure Barre than in the last two years at Karve. Not to knock Karve too much, but I feel like I never got a 'real' workout there, it was a lot of stretching with soothing music and not once did I break a sweat. At Pure Barre the music is fantastic, it's a faster pace, more challenging and I feel like I'm burning a ton on calories! The facility is really beautiful and all the instructors are friendly, encouraging and great at what they do. Yes, it is a bit pricey but you really get what you pay for - results. read more

I tried this on a whim and now I am hooked. I don't like to get out of breath during my workouts but still like to leave feeling sore, so Pure Barre is perfect for me. I've never looked to forward to working out as much as I do here. I tried the first class and left shaking and unable to climb stairs. I knew I would have to go back to make sure I met the challenge! All the instructors are friendly and supportive. Almost all of them are excellent, but in particular: Jasmine is very energetic and engaging, Veronica's classes kick your butt, and Shannon is always pleasant and welcoming. The unlimited month is a great deal if you will go a lot. Try one class one a single pay basis to see how you feel about it, or look for a Groupon deal. You will need to sign up for the class online first. Don't worry if you are put on the waitlist; most of the time you will get into the class anyway. If you're new, you'll pick up the routine of class very quickly. My only complaints have to do with the high demand for these classes. It is so expensive. I can't always afford to go, which is really a bummer because it's something I enjoy it so much. I actually started about a year ago and took almost ten months off until a Living Social deal came along. Also, sometimes it's very crowded and I get less room and attention from the instructor. Also, watch out! They sell really awesome merchandise in the front and you will want to spend all your money! read more

Pure Barre in Phoenix is my morning must! You get a total body workout through isometric movements performed with and without the barre. In one hour they work your core, legs, and arms to 'lift, tone, and burn' and I have found leaner, more toned muscles as a result. The 6 am instructors are fanatasic and incredibly friendly. I am in my first month of Pure Barre and loving it. This location is amazing, it is clean and welcoming--everyone is so friendly. The instructors make is a point to get to know your name.
