I love this place! I love it so much that I get up early to work out... and I am one of those people who was never able to get up early to work out. The studio is clean. The staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable. And the sense of community is evident. The instructors know everyones name and call out encouragements by name. Which keeps me motivated and focused especially when my muscles are shaking and I'm thinking of tapping out for a second. It feels like everyone's goal is to help you. Help you get fitter, stronger, and more confident. The workouts, while meticulously planned and regimented, allows for the individual to customize. Some days I feel stronger and more "on my game" and take the little challenges worked in throughout class. Some days I don't, and I can use the ball for extra support or make other minor modifications. Either way I leave feeling accomplished and just good about myself. I was never one for group exercise classes. I always had excuses (I can do it on my own, it doesn't fit into my schedule, the cost). Pure Barre Gainesville has changed everything. Sure it costs more than going for a run outside but you get what you pay for and for me that is ACCOUNTABILITY, STRENGTH, SELF CONFIDENCE, and an hour a day just for me and my goals. The pounds aren't falling off but everything is tightening up and going back to where it was before having 2 kids, 37 years of gravity, and a busy life took its toll. My husband loves the results (he says I look better now than I did at 30 (also known as BC or Before Children, haha). But more importantly I love the results and I'm so proud of my hard work. The saying is "there is no zealot like a convert". Well I am a convert to the Pure Barre method! read more

Pure Barre - Gainesville is my second home! I truly love being there each day and actually miss it any day I am not there! Every single instructor and staff member go above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful experience. They actually care about knowing you! Each class is unique and the choreography is never exactly the same per class so it is actually impossible for you to ever get bored. The studio is gorgeous, clean, and has lots of cute retail for sale. I appreciate all the sweet Bar[re]tenders especially Wendy, Cara, and Sarah who are always smiling and just so welcoming when you come in the door. Each instructor works with you to make sure you are challenged and becoming stronger and they are all very comfortable with providing you with tips or modifications if that's what your body needs. This is the best workout I have ever had and the only workout I have ever enjoyed and actually felt like has changed my body. Make sure you try all three classes (Classic, Empower, and Reform) because each has something different to offer and all three are SO GOOD! Pure Barre - Gainesville also offers fun challenges almost every month or per season which inspires you to not give up on your goals. Plus, there are always prizes involved. Can't beat that! ;) I literally could not praise this studio enough! I love Pure Barre! If you have never tried it - YOU NEED TO RIGHT NOW! :) read more

I joined Pure Barre- Gainesville about a month ago and I LOVE IT! The instructors are all sweet and knowledgeable. From day one, they truly made me feel like family. The instructors can offer modifications for an type of injury you may have. As someone who has knee issues, this has been a great place for me! I decided 2019 was the year of working on "me" and jointing Pure Barre- Gainesville was the best "working on me" decision I've made! I love the challenges they do to keep you pushing forward! I also love how the instructors/staff will take the time to talk with you and learn about you. They are very personable and truly care! They're remembered my name after only being there once... once! I highly recommend this place to anyone... you won't be disappointed! read more

I can't say enough about Pure Barre, the workouts and staff are amazing and so are the results! Pure Barre is more than just a "body" workout for me, it helps me take time for myself. I can't tell you how many times I have gone in after a stressful day and come out feeling so great physically and mentally. I truly enjoy all the instructors and the variety of routines is awesome. I have some old injuries, with Pure Barre you are able to modify, yet still get the results you are looking for. The instructors are always there to help you modify for what works best for you, but still a kick butt workout! Lastly, the many new friends I have made has been the icing on the cake! Thank you Pure Barre, you are my "second family" Serena M read more

I've been a member of Pure Barre since they opened and can't imagine doing any other type of workout. It really doesn't matter your age or fitness level, you can do this! Pure Barre Classic is based on smaller muscle movements and draws on Pilates. Reform classes use bungees to provide extra resistance and incorporate slightly bigger movements. Finally, Empower classes are faster paced and more aerobic. Whichever ever class you're doing, the instructors are great and always helpful. Whether they are "twinking" your form or suggesting a modification, they are always professional, caring and knowledgeable. There are always women (and even some men) of all ages, shapes and sizes. Always fun and never intimidating. read more

Pure Barre Gainesville is one of the best places in Gainesville VA to workout. Everyone on staff is so welcoming and I love that they know who I am when I walk in the door (that is a great perk of working out at a small boutique gym -- not always the case at larger places). The classes are fantastic and everyday you go in the workout is different so, it never gets boring! I have Plantar Fasciitis so, low impact workouts are the only thing I can consistently do. Even though Pure Barre is a low impact workout it is still very effective. I would recommend this studio to anyone looking for a great place to workout in Gainesville!! read more

What makes you love a place, a workout, a community? It's the instant connection you feel to the people, the energy and support from the teachers and staff. It's the challenging classes that are never exactly the same and that are constantly pushing you to your edge, making your entire body stronger. It's the positive effect on your mentality that you experience every time you make time for you and walk into the studio and complete a workout. Inclusive, effective, and uplifting! These are the reasons I love Pure Barre Gainesville! read more

I was new to pure barre about a month ago. I was nervous to try it because I had no idea what I was doing. They gave me a free intro class and I loved it. The instructors are very friendly and helped me to feel welcome. The class is fast paced but easy on your joints ( I have awful joints and arthritis so this is a plus for me). In the one month I have been coming I have lost 3lbs and one inch from my waist, hips, legs and arms. I highly recommend this place. At least try the free intro class. read more

I recently began taking classes at Pure Barre Gainesville and I love it! The staff is so friendly! On my first day, Wendy greeted me with a smile, introduced herself, and showed me around the studio. So far I've taken classes with Pam and Brianne. Both instructors are encouraging and show you how to do the exercises correctly. I've even been getting up for the 7:00 AM class on Saturdays because I love it so much. Thanks Pure Barre!! :) read more

About a month ago I signed up for my first month of this class. After the end of this month I've seen major improvements in my health and body. As a person with chronic migraines it is hard to find appropriate work outs, but this one was perfect for me. I came in nervous my first few classes but the instructors were all so helpful, patient and kind. I look forward to these classes everyday and plan to continue them long term. read more

Great instructors. Tons of options for before, during and work. Low impact. Super friendly staff. Careful and fully read your contract. I unfortunately had to cancel my yearly membership and had to pay back dues for each month I attended, which is $70 a month! PB constantly has $99 a month specials but is now billing me to cancel at the rate of $229 a month. **updated stars due to cancellation policy and fees. read more

The location is convenient, ample parking. The ease of scheduling online coupled with the variety of times and class styles lends well to any age and lifestyle. You are always greeted by name by the Barre Tender upon arrival and the Instructors take the time to introduce themselves to newcomers. The studio is clean and well ventilated, and the equipment is new and also well-maintained. Highly recommended! read more

The classes are challenging, the instructors are helpful and encouraging, and the rest of the team is so welcoming and sweet! The best part? It truly transforms your body! Warning - you may get hooked after the first "tuck"! read more
