I was in the area for work so I ordered online and ran over to pick up my burrito. It was a slow Friday because of major events happening in downtown. There was one person working and he quickly got to work on my order. He also added a few extra sauces and a small side of the ceviche and chicken adobo! (Thank you!!) my chicken burrito was fire and HUGE! I was able to have two meals from it. I also ordered the strawberry lemonade which was very refreshing. The store itself is really cute. I absolutely loved the artwork on the walls with the string! read more

Looking for a quick affordable bite in the north loop? This is your place. Quick fresh casual style and feel. It is like Chipotle but with more vibrant flavors. Service was just ok. You had to really watch and ask for them to add things to your bowl. Order: Elote chicken bowl with pickled red onions, salsa verde and chipotle salsa. Flavors were all vibrant and delicious. Portions were a little stingy compared to Chipotle. Add the tortilla strips for a much needed crunch and texture. Strawberry limon. Just ok. Not worth $3.50. read more

I always get the Barbacoa burrito here. A dream about this place all the time. Whenever the meats gets low, closer closer to the bottom, almost emptied out of the container, I like to ask if they have more in the back because when it gets low on the bottom of the container, it gets really salty because I had that one time, it was just so salty I could not even eat it and they're really good about it here if you ask for a new container if they have one in the back. I love how they have grilled veggies here and the corn is roasted corn. It is so good, the best. I can't get a burrito anywhere else since it doesn't compare to here. I just wait until I'm back in mpls to get a burrito lol. They close at 9 PM every day sometimes I wish they would open later especially on a Friday and Saturday night. read more

If I had to use one word to describe this place... I couldn't because duuuude it was so dang delicious... is more than one word. Met up with old colleagues to catch up and stumbled upon a place I had forgotten was on my to do list. So glad we went here! @puralimacantina in The North Loop was so much better than I was ready for. They also have locations in EdinaWayzata and a new spot to come inBlaine Overall think Chipotle set up for ordering but then make it 100x better. (I enjoy Chipotle so no hate, this place just has much more elevated & delish flavors) You build your own bowl, burrito, tacos, etc below is what my bowl consisted of: White cilantro rice, pinto beans, chicken (omg yum), corn, grilled veggies, cilantro, pico, cabbage, cheese, guacamole, and mild green salsa. DO NOT SNOOZE ON THE CHIPS! We almost skipped them and man that would have been a mistake because they were so good. Spring is around the corner get out n about and check this place out soon! Enjoy! Stumbled upon Puralima Cantina when walking through north loop and decided to try them for lunch. Trendy casual dining area with lots of light and cute decor. Build your own burrito, taco or bowl. Lots of fresh ingredients to choose from. They allow for 3 toppings then start up charging for extras. It's hard to narrow down the toppings since they all look so good! I had a chicken bowl and my spouse had a steak bowl. The meat was tender, juicy and nicely seasoned. The other toppings were fresh and flavorful. I'll have to stop here again when I'm in the north loop! read more

In short: Puralima is the local version of Chipotle. It's as if someone was waiting in a long line at Chipotle and were slightly disappointed when they got their good- then thought, huh- I could do this better *ta-da* Puralima. We stopped in on a week night for dinner, the colorful outside stuck in our brain every time we drove down town and we finally caved. Once inside it's pretty clear it's a similar set up to Chipotle or Subway. I was eager to see several options of base, meat and toppings. I'm not going to bore you with what I got because everyone's taste buds are different but we enjoyed out food and will be back! There are alcoholic options if that's your style, we enjoyed the limeaids and found them to be really good and tangy. We paid slightly more than we would have at Chipotle but considering we were downtown and the food felt more fresh- I wasn't too concerned. We'll be back, I wish there was more parking options as street parking can be hard to come by but maybe in the future. Check it out of you're looking for something tasty but also wont take forever. read more

I ordered PURALIMA for the first time today. I am a lifelong vegetarian and that's always in the back of my mind... this veg bowl was 10/10. Loved it and saving half for dinner. It was even a bit pre-mixed (see my pic) which I love. Thank you Puralima, I'll be back! read more

Grabbed a late lunch here with a few friends before a concert and it was so delicious! It's a make-line style build your own type of restaurant and the line workers pushed the line through at a good speed. I ordered a steak bowl which had a good ratio of meat to toppings. I wish I could have gotten a margarita, me and one of my friends were bummed because one of the main reasons we came was to try the frozen margaritas. Yet they were out of it completely.. There are also canned seltzers but I opted for a limeade that was tart and refreshing. I was also in awe of the beautiful artwork and snapped a quick pic of my favs. read more

Cute, cute, cute! Imagine if Chipotle was decorated by a Real-housewife or some other fun stylish person! Chandeliers, colorful material around the pillars, and I am here for it all. But let's talk about the food.. I love the unique toppings, just kicking myself that I did t try the pineapple pico de gallo, I guess there is always next time! The chips and guacamole were great; both fresh and flavorful. One negative is that it is on a busy street in the North Loop, so you will need to hunt for street parking to pick up your burrito. read more

This might be my new favorite spot to fix my chipotle needs. Meat selections are juicy and tender, toppings are all cooked individually and seasoned well. Sauces are unique AND packs some heat. Drinks are good, but my bf wouldn't prefer on get the frozen one over the reg. Parking is on the busy street or along side the building. Vibes and music are popping and service was amazing. read more

I decided to try Puralima this week when they were running a free entree special on their app! It's right near my work, so I thought it would be the perfect little lunch spot. I ordered ahead, so my to-go order was ready right when I got there at 11:30, which was great. However, there were quite a few people waiting on to-go orders. A friend I was with ordered hers for ASAP about 10 minutes before we left our work to walk over, and we waited there for 5-10 minutes for her food to come out (it had given her a 'ready' time at 11:32). I didn't mind too much because they seemed to be a bit short staffed. The location is beautiful and in a great area of North Loop! It's got super trendy and bright decor, fun merch, and a little flower bar where you can create your own bouquet. I definitely want to come back here for a happy hour with margaritas and chips! Based on other reviews I've seen, it looks like they fixed their portion problem. These are a bit smaller than Chipotle, but I don't mind because I never finish Chipotle - I really felt this was the perfect size for me! Plus, they included a free chips & guac for happy hour before the end of the month which was a fun little surprise. I ordered a steak salad with quite a few toppings. Since I had the free entree, I only had to pay for my additional toppings (about $2 worth) - however, I think they need to include more than 3 toppings for their price. If I had paid for this, my little salad would've been about $15 - and at that rate I would go down the street to C&G for a larger salad. Good news is, this salad was absolutely delicious! The steak was so tender and flavorful and the vinaigrettes really brought all the flavors together. I definitely raved about it to some friends! Overall, I wouldn't be super quick to go back here for a lunch/meal because of the price point, but I will be back to try happy hour! read more

Went to Puralima for lunch on a Wednesday and it was poppin'! But after trying it out, now I know why. Parking was a bit tricky because it's north loop and it was during lunch time, but only had to walk a block over. The inside of gorgeous! So colorful, light, and fun. They have a ton of options to choose from: tacos, burritos, salads, bowls, or nachos. I did a build your own chicken bowl with cauliflower and a mix of different toppings. The food was fresh and quite tasty! I will say it's a bit more on the pricey side compared to Chipotle or Qdoba, but I'd pay for the quick service and fresh ingredients. I'll definitely go back to try out a few other things. Also, try their homemade limeades! read more

I really wish I liked this place but I don't. I just feel like something is always lacking in the bowls, with only 3 toppings included. The meal just feels incomplete. This time I got a steak bowl. Flavors are ok, but to be honest I'd choose chipotle any day over this. Nothing "wrong" with it, just not my cup of tea. Note: I ordered online and the process was pretty easy. Food wasn't ready on the shelf when I arrived so I did wait 5 more minutes. The flower area is a cute touch and fun differentiator. read more

As someone who's plant-based (leaning heavily vegan), I was really hoping for a solid experience at Puralima. After a long day of work yesterday evening, I found myself stuck between going with a quick, familiar choice like Chipotle or trying something local. I ultimately chose Puralima because I wanted to support a smaller business over a big chain, and also because I try to avoid overly processed foods. But honestly, I left wishing I had gone with Chipotle. I paid $17 for a take out burrito and chips, and what I got was incredibly bland, dare I say, uncultured. The flavor that food is capable of delivering, just wasn't there. It felt like flavor was sacrificed, and I'm not sure if that was in an effort to be more inclusive to local palates or a conscious attempt to reduce sodium. Either way, it really missed the mark. As a plant-based eater in Minnesota, it already feels like we're operating at a disadvantage, especially post-pandemic, where many places are closed on Mondays or shutting down early. So seeing that Puralima was open on a Monday gave me hope. I just wish the food had matched the promise of accessibility. The service was great and the cashier was pleasant, I just couldn't rectify my issue because I was already home from a long work day. read more

More 3.5 than 4 stars for me. Really good for fast food but falls a tad short of my favorite Twin Cities taco joints. Quac was tasty but way too cold which actually muted the flavors and made it harder to eat, but awesome chips. The meats were not very hot which was disappointing and the burrito a mess to eat. It also was not clear if we needed to bus our own table but we finally found the spot but hard not to make a mess of yourself separating items to be washed and items for disposal. read more

A friend brought me here for lunch. Similar to Chipotle, you select your own ingredients in your tacos or burritos. Immediately, the vibes and atmosphere were upbeat and fun. I ordered a cauliflower burrito, which is weird now that I think about it. I did want to try something new. My burrito was bland. I was excited for my limeade because I wanted a refreshing drink, but it was a huge disappointment. It had a bitter aftertaste and it wasn't sweet. Service was good though. Parking is hard to find considering the location and time you go. Thankfully, it was a nice day and we didn't mind the walk. read more

Vibe is giving upscale chipotle, with better ingredients and alcohol available! Met up with a couple friends here and it was the perfect meeting spot, wasn't too busy or loud, and we really got to connect. I got the chicken, I didn't love it. Just felt a little under seasoned, or maybe I would have just enjoyed a different flavor profile. The homemade limeades were all delightful. I was sure to try all the salsas and toppings, and was delighted by the bold flavor choices. All in all, would absolutely go back the next time I'm in the mood for a burrito bowl in the area! read more

I've visited this new Minneapolis spot two times in as many weeks. It is soooo delicious. Management was very attentive to us and all of the workers were busy working hard but also were great hosts to the guests. You walk in, down a small set of stairs, go through the line (similar to a chipotle experience), take a seat and bon appetite! After trying all the margaritas, the classic is my favorite but they are all good. I have no notes. It's a great spot with great food. If I lived closer, I would probably be there multiple times a week read more

I had heard some mixed reviews of Puralima but was excited to try it out on my own, ended up really loving my meal here! It's on the pricier side but they have been running a lot of deals lately ($5 margs, free guac with chips order, etc). I got a steak bowl and loved how fresh all of the ingredients tasted. It was really nice that the plates/glasses were real as well, it made it feel more upscale than other similar spots. The frozen marg was delicious too, and strong! Service was friendly and helpful as well! The only bigger downside that I experienced was that for the cost, you still only get 3 toppings included. To really fill out the bowl you'll probably end up needing to add one or two extra items at 70 cents each. read more

I work down the street from Puralima and I frequent it A LOT and I gotta say, it does not get old! Yes, similar model as Chipotle, but I love that it is locally owned, I love the ingredients, the pickled onion goes absolutely CRAZY, the limeades are refreshing and slightly tart and I love to mix the flavors- I think they're delicious and the margaritas are UNMATCHED. Also- If anyone says their food was bland it's probably because you made it that way- idk what you expect from only chicken and rice. They have so many ingredients (in my opinion) I've never been like 'darn, I wish they had this.' read more

Chipotle-like lunch spot with Mexican dishes put together in front of you (along with a variety of options). Thursday afternoon, only a small line inside to put in an order. Opted to get a Barbacoa Bowl over rice ($10.50), which comes with three free toppings. Settled on some pico de gallo, cheese, and peppers. Seasoning on the meat was good, while the meat itself was very chewy. The other ingredient well with the rice. Also ordered the Chips & Queso ($8) - a big bag of corn tortilla chips with rich melted queso. Really liked the chips to go along with the side hot sauces they had. The queso dip was only okay. The people behind the counter did their best to get the line moving, but people had multiple orders and lots of questions. Placing your order in advance for pickup is the best option here. read more

I had this ordered for a work event and boy oh boy this was a huge hit. Online ordering for catering could not have been easier, the premade set quantities and sides was a dream. I've seen many comments that compare Puralima to chipotle and Yes, it's the same concept, but Puralima in my opinion has a far better quality product. I think the prices are pretty similar also. So I guess I would opt for the better quality product every time. The grilled chicken burrito bowl was very nice and very fresh tasting. The chicken wasn't dry like I've gotten at other similar type restaurants. My friend had the shrimp bowl and she raved about it. I think both bowls were between 10 and $12 so quite reasonable for a weekday lunch. The portion sizes are very good. It was quite substantial and very satisfying. I saw another reviewer saying that they thought chipotle had a bigger portion. Not true, the only difference that Puralima uses a larger better quality bowl that is not disposable. They do have a limited amount of parking slots however across the street about 50 yards away is an entire parking lot so parking is not an issue. The restaurant was very clean, with nice music playing, and a very tastefully decorated decor. The attendance working the counter were very friendly, and kept the whole work line very clean and tidy. read more
