This was some of the better food that I have had. My boyfriend has been meaning to try this restaurant and I'm glad he brought me with. We each had the arroz con pollo which we got with a side salad. When we ordered it we asked for the smaller portion as we were having a slate lunch. Well the food came out and was more than enough for lunch and even some leftovers. We ate at 2/2:30ish and it's now 9:30 while I'm writing this review and I'm still pleasantly content/full from out lunch. I can guarantee we will be back again!

Small quite place. Food was good. Came out fast. Portions are big. I ordered a small plate of chicken with rice and could not finish it. One waitress on a Sunday. Along with other customers , had to get up and ask for our bills. They should be better staffed.

Out of all of them, this location has honestly been the one we've enjoyed the most and the one we keep coming back to. That said, over the past year or two, I do feel the food quality has declined a bit. I recently ordered the lomo saltado (the lower-priced option), and while the meat was flavorful and savory, there was a little too much broth, which made the fries and rice soggy. My husband ordered the tacu tacu with steak, but it felt like there were barely any beans in it. For the kids, we ordered salchipapa. They enjoyed it, but I was expecting the hot dogs to have a little more crisp instead of being soft. What keeps us coming back is the experience here. The restaurant is always clean, organized, and has a really nice ambiance. The staff is attentive, service is quick, and we rarely have to wait or follow up on anything. Their ají verde is still really good too. Overall, I'd say 3.5 stars for the food, but 4 stars for service, ambiance, and overall experience. I really hope the food quality improves because this location has been one of our favorites.

It has expanded and taken up a bit more space over the years, and the expansion is well-deserved. Featuring a Pura Vida Costa Rican flare you have a number of options available for both breakfast and lunch. I've tried quite a bit of the menu, but they are known for their tried and true empanadas. They have about half a dozen varieties and I end up getting at least one of each every time I visit. They're hot, big, flavorful, and the shell is a perfect consistency. The waitstaff is some of the friendliest around. The outdoor seating is also quite nice in the summertime alongside the pedestrian street. In terms of the menu, it's hard to say there is a standout, because I get something different each time, and I have yet to go wrong. Everything here is absolutely excellent, and I look forward to each return visit to come.

I really need to sample the rest of their menu but I was craving the empanadas & tres leche all week. Service was excellent. I took pics of the dining area. Very clean, not noisy which was a pleasant surprise since it filled up with after church families.

So upon doing my research I came across this restaurant. Now of course upon reading reviews everyone said to get there early because the line can get long especially on a Saturday and Sunday morning. So we arrived around 8:30 on Saturday and we were seated right away because it was only two of us . The service was excellent we were seated right away . Our waiter came out and gave us the rundown of the menu . They had a promo menu because of the Devil Wears Prada movie . I did get a specialty non alcoholic drink from the menu which was excellent. We ordered the French toast and the avocado toast with scrambled eggs and it came with smoked salmon on sourdough bread . The French toast was so good and moist you didn't even need to add additional syrup . The food was delicious and the portion sizes are perfect . The restaurant is cozy so if you have a big party make reservations. But you won't be disappointed I can't wait to visit Brunch by De Martino again whenever I come back to New Jersey . Please check them out you won't regret it .

My family and I have been supporting the Martino's Cuban Restaurant family restaurants for years,…read moregoing back to the original Martino's from his dad's side (which we truly miss). So coming here carries a bit of nostalgia for us. This concept feels very different from the original. It's definitely a more modern, upscale take. Portions are smaller, prices are higher, and the menu feels more elevated with a mix of Cuban-inspired and American flavors rather than strictly traditional Cuban comfort food. That said, the food is genuinely very good. The Cuban sandwich was easily one of the best we've had in New Jersey. Unlike many places that mostly use ham with a thin layer of pork, this one had thick, flavorful pieces of pork that made it feel much more authentic. A few other favorites: - The tostones with guacamole were a great starter. - Their chocolate latte used to be one of our favorites (sadly it seems to have been replaced by a raspberry chocolate version, which wasn't for us). - The seasonal pumpkin iced latte was excellent. - The strawberry banana waffles were more than enough to share. - The scrambled eggs and thick-cut bacon were fresh and delicious. We spent about $140 for breakfast for a family of four, so it's definitely on the pricier side, but it felt fitting for a special occasion like Mother's Day. A heads-up: reservations are only accepted for parties of six or more, so smaller groups are first come, first served. On Mother's Day, we waited about an hour after arriving at 8:30 AM, but their digital waitlist system made it easy to track our place in line while running errands nearby. Do we miss the old Martino's? Absolutely. The larger portions and casual family feel were special to us. But this restaurant offers something different--more polished, more curated, and still very enjoyable. I'd recommend it for brunch dates, family celebrations, or when you want to treat yourself.

Beautifully decorated for Christmas and such a cozy, festive vibe. The service was excellent, attentive, and friendly. It was a bit loud where we sat directly in the middle and many people were celebrating birthdays so lots of singing. The vibe was so on point! The premium cocktails were on the higher side at $21 each, but they were well-made. We ordered the Picada Grande for only four of us and could not believe the amount of food that came out. We couldn't finish the food. Everything was delicious, and we still left with around 6 pounds of leftovers! A great spot for a fun night out with fantastic food, beautiful ambiance, good entertainment, and great service at a good price! There are vendors selling flowers and framed pictures of you choose to partake. We did and loved the framed pic! Highly recommend checking it out. Great value and good food! Our Go-To Spot for BBQ - Nothing Compares!…read more We've been loyal customers of BBQ 28 since the day they opened, and after trying many other BBQ spots, nothing else even comes close. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The establishment is split into two sections. On the right side is the takeout area, where you can see the staff preparing everything right in front of you - from the perfectly chickens, steaks, ribs, to the freshly made rice. Their shrimp in garlic sauce is amazing as well as their salads, the dressing is the best, it should be bottled and sold. It's an experience just watching them cook! The food is always hot and ready, and the staff are incredibly friendly and efficient. We usually call ahead to place our order, and it's typically ready in about 20-30 minutes. On the left side is the sit-down restaurant, which has a warm, welcoming vibe. If you just can't wait to get home to enjoy your meal, you can always head next door and dine in comfortably. Whether you're grabbing takeout or sitting down for a meal, BBQ 28 never disappoints. Highly recommend - the food is always steaming hot, and the service is top-notch!
