I'm Honduran and I'm always looking for a place that has food just like back home. I realize this place is salvadorean, but I wanted to try it. I was expecting it to be average and not as I remember food in my country but OH MAN! Was I mistaken! I ordered a Tipico express and a cheese pupusa. The tortillas were very well done, and fat like the ones my mom used to do. The pupusa was delicious! and the sour cream was on point! This place is great! I haven't had the chance to try all of their menu items, but their Pupusas are SO good! All of my coworkers and I love ordering it for delivery. The delivery is quick and the food always comes with all of the sides you ask for. I've never had a problem with this place. The selection for their Pupusas is a little strange and I've never heard of some of the combinations they have, but they're really great and flavorful! My favorite is the one with pork, beans, and cheese. To die for! Personally I like eating mine with sour cream, but the cabbage and red sauce that comes on the side is pretty great too! I don't usually give bad reviews to places but this time I will. So, yesterday night I ordered some food because I can't walk due to a surgery I had 2 days ago and I was really hungry because I spent the whole day sleeping for taking too much pain medicine. But, anyways, so, when I received my order, one of my roommates knock on my door letting me know that there was the delivery guy at the door making a BIG DEAL because I forgot to add a tip to the order and that I should at least have added it on the card payment I made. I mean, I was in a really bad mood and I only wanted to eat something because I can't walk properly to cook my own food. And then, this guy came yelling at my roommate just because I forgot that. I know, they work by tips because they don't have a "great base pay." But then, my roommate explained to him what I'm going through right now, and he even had the audacity to say "oh yeah I know those type of stories" and I exactly heard that because he was almost trying to get in to the apartment I live in. Next time, be nice and don't complain about a tip because you never know what a person is going through at the moment you're delivering food. If I was able to walk I wouldn't have any problem going to get my food straight from the restaurant but this time I can't because I'm on a wheelchair unable to move. And at the least the delivery guy you all have at your restaurant is able to walk and talk, he's not depending on someone to come and give him some food and he should be at least more grateful to have a job. read more

My husband and I got their menu in the mail and decided to try delivery. We ordered six papusas, two sopes and a tamal de elote. The papusas came with a tomato sauce and pickled cabbage. It was enough for both of us for two meals and we spent less than $30, including the delivery driver's tip. Our order came in half an hour. Everything was good but the sopes were amazing! Got horrible food poisoning after ordering 2 pupusas here today. I got the cheese pupusa and one with pork and refried beans (unfortunately these were the only reasonable choices because the menu was bizarre and unappealing.) I couldnt even finish the pupusas, which is an injustice because now i'm hungry and sick as ****. Skip this place please. Solid Salvadoran joint near Dulles airport. They have 5-6 types of papusa fillings and we tried one of each, all were solid. The Tipico Express plate is good value: $7 for a papusa, fried plantains, a tamale, sour cream, and refried beans. My only minor complaint is that their curtido wasn't quite to my taste. read more

This place is a hidden gem! The pupusas were delicious and they stuff them pretty well. We also ordered the pastelitos de carne and the nuegados. The nuegados were beautifully cooked and tasted amazing with the dipping sauce. The food here is of really good quality. The owner mentioned the cooks prep as they go so you always get fresh food. I also found out they deliver which is a huge plus. The owner and the woman who served us were really friendly and spoke good English so this is a good place to try Salvadorian food if you don't speak the best Spanish and are looking for quality food. Not only did the pupusas de arroz taste gross but my sister and I had to sit ourselves at a table because there was no waiter in site. Do not fear walking into the place. This place is amazing, I come here every week to eat the same thing or get food to take home. One of my favorite dishes they make is "Tacos al Carbon" I usually get the steak ones. This dish comes with 3 Tacos and you can get the tacos made with flour or corn. I always prefer the flour over the corn ones. 3 tacos, rice, beans, and guac and other sauces are included. Give this place a try. Tonight was my second night getting carry out from this place. First time I got zucchini and cheese pupusas, which I really liked (haven't really had many pupusas in my life, so I have nothing to compare to). Tonight I had the seafood soup and it was delicious, perfectly seasoned and so fulfilling. I'm happy I have found their seafood soup, specially considering that I live close by and can enjoy it often. The reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because I've only done carry out. I used to really like this place so I'm giving 3 stars because I'm hoping it was just a bad night. Ordered delivery and it took about an hour and 20 min. Arrived cold.
