This pet store is located inside Scottsdale Center/Mall. I am not a huge fan of animals in pet stores, however, the people working there made me feel at ease and were very knowledgeable and friendly. They had a trio of really cute drawf rabbits. Looking at rabbits makes me smile. Reasonably priced. Accessories are good = toys. read more

DO NOT BUY PUPPIES FROM PUPPIES FISH & CRITTERS I purchased a puppy from Puppies Fish & Critters out of their home in Port Moody not their store in Scottsdale Mall if it is still open. I was asking for a hypoallergenic puppy as I have a granddaughter who has a severe allergy to dogs that are not hypoallergenic. Helen B. messaged me she had a last shih-poo puppy left. I questioned it being hypoallergenic and was assured it was. I went and purchased the puppy at a very high price. The puppy began to shed extensively and I did know that shih-tzu did not shed. I was not sure about the poodle part. I did get ahold of the owner Tom and he assured me that was normal. The shedding got worse and continued on. I decided to have a DNA done on the dog because of the excessive shedding and not look anything like a shih/poo. It ended up having no shih-tzu at all in it. It has poodle, shetland sheepdog and russell terrier. It is a VERY HEAVY SHEDDING DOG. I did talk to the breeder Donna L. and she also said she did not know why the puppy was shedding. Obviously these people are lying about what they are selling and don't care about the lives of people that have sever allergies to them. I have asked for a refund as my granddaughter cannot come to my house and was told in early Oct that I would receive a refund, but obviously, I have not received it. Noting from all the negative comments on this Pet Shop, I can see these owners are not responsible to their clients. I would advise DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM PUPPIES FISH AND CRITTERS. read more

PLEASE - STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE. My daughter bought a puppy from this store over 2 weeks ago. The store has behaved abysmally, refusing to provide information about the puppy. They lied about her age, they have not provided information about the breeders, and so forth. But the most urgent concern is the lack of medical records. They gave an information sheet that says the puppy received vaccinations on two dates. However, it does not state what the vaccinations were. The sheet also has tiny little stickers that may have come from the bottles of serum - but who knows? They're so small that they're not legible. Not being a veterinarian, I don;t know what the stickers are, or what vaccinations they represent. Over the past 2 weeks, we have called 7 times to ask what shots the puppy received before coming to us, and to ask for proper medical records. The staff always promise to send the records or to have the manager or owner call us; but no one follows up. I am asking the Humane Society for help. Honest to goodness, it's hard to understand that a store that charges high sums for little dogs cares so little for the health of the animals. Please do yourself and the dogs in your community a favour, and go to a shelter or breeder who takes animal welfare seriously. read more

I bought a puppy from here a a while ago and i had the same problem as the other reviewer. I wanted the contact information and was refused until I purchased the dog. I was also told that the breeder would be cAlling me. However unlike the other person they did call after a couple days, but not with the answers i wanted. I thought i was asking very simple questions that didn't seem out of the ordinary when buying a dog. I asked where they were located exactly, how many liters had come from this dog, what the weights were of the dogs, and if they could send me photos of the parents as well as pictures of when our dog was born or really young puppy photos. They informed us that they had no photos of our dog. so i asked again if i could have photos of the parents, she informed me that they had gotten rid of the parents because it was there last litter so they couldn't take photos of the dog, that they had no photos at all of the parents, and would not be able to get any. So don't buy from this store. all though I love my dog, don't trust pet stores, they gave little to no information, and no way in hell they had zero photos of there dogs, definitely hiding something. I took students to this pet store for work experience for one year. It was absolutely amazing how loving and caring the owner and staff were to all the living things there. These animals are loved like they are part of the family. No one there puts themself first. The priority is the animals, always. They are very kind people with very large loving hearts. If you stop to talk to the staff, they can show you all the pictures of animals of times past on their own phones. They make a connection with each and every pet. There is nothing in the world they wouldn't do for them. I was so impressed that I bought a ragdoll kitten there before I left at the end of the year. In fact, I have been looking for another kitten and I won't buy from anywhere else. I highly recommend this business. read more

Days after purchasing a young Chihuahua at Puppies, Fish & Critters, Delta women realized something was wrong. Vet confirmed the puppy had a congenital defect and it was a severe under bite. I bought a puppy from this store about 3 weeks ago. I was skeptical because it was a pet store and I usually avoid pet stores and go to breeders, however, this was the only place at the moment that had a dog I wanted. I asked the owner where the puppies were from and she said a breeder in BC. I asked for their contact number so I could ask questions about the dog but was told that it is against store policy to do so, however, I would be given the breeder's contact information when I purchased the dog. After I purchased the dog, I asked for the breeder's information. To this, the owner replied that the breeder would call me instead within the next couple of days and that I wasnt able to get the breeders infomation myself. It has been 3 weeks now and I still have not heard back from the owner or the breeder. This makes me feel extremely uncomfortable about the situation and makes me very skeptical about where my puppy came from. Also, at the time of purchase, the employee who was "helping me" was quick to be impatient with my sister and I as we were deciding which puppy to take home. She kept coming back asking us if we have decided every 5 minutes and then would sigh after we said we needed more time. Overall, this experience has reinforced my choice of not supporting pet stores, including this one. read more
