TLDR: Dog boarding during the day and indoor dog park plus bar in the evening. Excellent customer…read moreservice. Ample space to sit, stand, and play. Attentive dog owners and staff. Amazing choice of music at a reasonable volume. Reasonable temp, on the warmer end in the summer. I heard about West Street Dog from a family member and was excited to give it a try. I didn't see a parking lot so I paid (~$1.50) for street parking. Street parking is free after 6 pm. There were several street parking spots available. West street dog is easy to locate and lists specials on a sign out front. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by two employees sitting at the front. They welcomed us and walked us through all the details since it was our first time. Save time by downloading the app (required) and filling out the contract in advance. Bring your dog's vaccination records at your first visit. One time visits to use the off-leash area is $10. They also have a monthly membership option. They keep your card on file for the off-leash section charges, the bar is separate. To use the leashed section is free. The bar is double-sided so you can order from the leashed and off leash sides. We primarily hung out in the off leash section. I like the set up since it provides ample room for dogs to play and customers to sit and watch their dog. The middle section is turf where dogs can use the bathroom. They ask that you clean up after your dog goes #2. Then an employee rinses the area with a hose. During our visit an employee hung out in the play area to watch the dogs. The employees here definitely love dogs. My dog received so much attention and had a blast. The dogs seemed to get along well. When some became rowdy, an employee gently separated them or sprayed them with water. We visited on a Friday evening and there were about 15 dogs. Only thing I didn't like is that it smelled like pee, which I understand is a challenging smell to combat. We can't speak on the dog boarding as we only tried the bar and off-leash area. Overall, we had a great time and recommend this park to others!

Google/ Yelp Review: I entrusted West Street Dog with the…read morecare of my dog, and he unfortunately sustained a serious injury while in their care that now requires surgery. After the incident, I repeatedly requested information and the video footage the business claims supports its account. Although they have referenced this footage, it has not been provided. Instead, I was told they determined there was no negligence on their part and that they would not reimburse any veterinary expenses. I am deeply disappointed not only that my dog was injured while under their supervision, but also by how the situation has been handled since. Rather than transparency, I have received shifting explanations, refusals to provide requested materials, and a denial of responsibility without access to the evidence they reference. My dog's veterinarian has confirmed that surgery is medically necessary, which has been both emotionally and financially devastating. While I understand accidents can happen, I cannot accept the lack of accountability and transparency when a pet is seriously injured in a business's care. Based on my experience, I do NOT recommend this business.

One of our dogs gets very anxious and aggressive around new people. It takes a long time for him to recognize new people as being safe. One of the caregivers came over for a temperament test and it didn't go well at all. I had high hopes that they could work with him but I quickly realized that they couldn't, and she agreed. The issue is the there is no guarantee that the same sitter will come to your home to watch your pets. I contacted them several months in advance and they still could not work with me to have one person watch my dogs. I understand that this is how they run their business and respect it. That said, I would only recommend them if your dogs are not anxious like mine and are okay with different people coming over to watch them.

They came out to meet the cats and get the instructions for the meds, etc. and off we went. Our friend noticed that "old cat" wasn't doing so hot, but was unable to leave work to take "old cat" to the vet immediately, so we were about to turn the car around and drive the 300 miles back, rather than finishing our vacation. That's when my wife saw that Kelly's Critters offered pet transportation too. We called and they took "old cat" to the vet and no exaggeration-saved his life. They started some new meds and "old cat" is on the mend. The cute videos they send when they visit are precious. They saved the kitty, and I think they saved my wife's heart and sanity. The quality of care was amazing and we'll definitely use them again.
