Don't trust this place with your fur babies. We dropped our lab off here for a week stay. It was suppose to be a vacation for her while we were on vacation and I picked it because of the reviews and the fact that they have a pool. When we picked up our sweet girl, I noticed a wet spot on her neck. Figured another dog had licked her on the way out. NOPE. I got her home and gave her a bath only to notice the massive chunk taken out of her neck. Got her to the vet and she had 3 huge infected bite marks in addition to a ton of other bites and scratches. We're use to her coming back with a few scratches here and there but this was really bad. Now she's on antibiotics and wearing a cone around her neck. My poor baby. The kicker is that they didn't even bother to tell us that there was an incident. They gave us a report card showing she was sweet and social (she's very good with other dogs) and I've pretty sure they wiped off all the blood to hide the injuries just as they were taking her out to us. Never again.

Jody is really nice & helpful. We have used bone voyage for day care, boarding & grooming in the past when our regular groomer/day care isn't available. They are really caring & the animals in their care are well taken care of. I trust my fur babies with them. Our most recent experience with day boarding was great as usual, my dogs came back exhausted & happy. We also had them bathed, they are definitely clean & shiny my only complaint is they smell terrible. Ms Jody remedied the situation quickly. Would continue to recommend for your dog boarding & day care needs.

This was the first time we boarded our two dogs at Bone Voyage and I felt comfortable the minute we dropped them off for their week stay. The lobby was clean and didn't smell like urine (like other kennels) and the staff was friendly and professional. I liked how prepared they were with individual pet profiles for each dog which included photos for easy identification. They asked about each animals routine and took down notes. The thing that made me feel most comfortable actually had nothing to do with my own animals. There was a cat in the kitty section and because he was the o lay guy in there, they allowed him out of his cage to roam the secured enclosed room. That showed me that they cared for the well being of that cat. Instead of locking him in the small cage, they allowed him to roam and sit perched in the large window- to me, that symbolizes their compassion and dedication to truly care for each individual animal and thoughtfully consider what's best for their needs. I appreciated that and it made me feel at ease. They were busy and had many dogs yet the barking wasn't overwhelming. The animals didn't seem stressed out in there- they were just communicating, if that makes sense. The pricing was competitive and fair and they offer a military discount which I thought was very generous and I appreciated after a week of boarding. I also liked being able to add a bath to our services before going home. We signed them up for doggy daycare to get additional time out of their kennel during the day. I highly recommend Bone Voyage. All items we sent with the dogs were returned and they were fed their food. so have one dog that requires special enzymes to be added to her food and I can tell at bowel movements if she's been getting it or not and when she got home, all looks well. Thank you Bone Voyage for taking great care of our dogs!!! My only feedback would be to consider adding cameras so that people can view their dogs while away, that's a feature you don't offer that other kennels do. I would have really loved that option.....

When I was obviously uncomfortable, her only response was that yes, she's recording and she doesn't need my permission! This pattern of her not caring about my needs would repeat in my appointment. I was very obviously not wanting that, but I had to ask her multiple times and she never even apologized. Recording people like she did and not stopping the 1st time is definitely crossing the line. Says everything about how much she cares about your needs, which reflects on how she'll care for pets. They did not ask my permission to pin my dog down on the table. He's very gentle and I didn't want him down there longer than he needed to be. They didn't listen to me beforehand when I told them that he doesn't like it. Instead of being Sorry they got angry at me and Dr. Bauer seemed to do a tit for tat thing in her head where she started complaining about the fact that my dog was on the examination table at all. She literally got angry at me because he was on the examination table. I have never in my entire life had a veterinarian behave this way. I even tried to smooth things over by apologizing and they still continued to be extremely rude. It wasn't a sincere apology, but I still said it kindly I just wanted them to be nice to my dog. What a nightmare. Furthermore, every single opinion I stated or response to any of their suggestions that indicated I was thinking for myself was met with criticism and disapproval, if not outright shaming and complaining. There was one time that her assistant was in the room alone with me and she got into this really Petty power struggle with me, because I said I can't control my pet 100% of the time which is just a fact. She then snitched on me to Dr. Bauer who proceeded to try and micromanage me in a different way. These people are just about control and ego imo. At the end, as we were wrapping up I was trying to explain something and she yelled at me, STOP!! Like a nazi. She rudely interrupted me and then had the nerve to say she wanted to talk. So she wants to talk but not listen? Even more shockingly, on the way out I said listen just don't hate me. Okay, please? Think anyone who is kind would have said something like of course not. I was truly amazed when all she said was "kay" as she walked out the door without a handshake or even a smile. Wow If you want to place that respects your opinion and values and active participant in caring about their dog, this is not the place. She is one of the worst and meanest vets I have ever encountered and she has absolutely no response for anyone but herself in my opinion. They also emailed me to tell me that they didn't want me as a patient anymore. Frankly, I was never planning to come back so I was relieved and of course not surprised by their ongoing rudeness and lack of respect.

I later learned they do not provide report cards for boarding, only daycare -- meaning unless you constantly chase information, you are left completely in the dark about your pet. I discovered my dog had vomited only because I saw her blanket disappear on camera and called to ask why. I was told it was being washed and would be returned shortly. It never was. The next morning (pickup day), I was told she had soft stool. Later that same day, when I called again because my emergency contact had to pick her up due to their absurdly restrictive 4-5 PM pickup window, I was finally told the full truth: she had missed multiple meals, was barely eating, then throwing up, and had diarrhea. I was also told they only notify owners after three missed meals. So to be crystal clear: my dog was vomiting, not eating normally, and had diarrhea, and neither I nor my emergency contact were notified in real time. I was denied the chance to make informed medical decisions for my own pet. If I had known sooner, I would have pulled her immediately for veterinary care. She has been boarded elsewhere multiple times and has never experienced anything like this. She came home with ongoing diarrhea, extreme anxiety, and was clearly traumatized. She smelled bad, and her bottom was not clean. On top of the health issues, her toys were missing, her medication was not returned at pickup, and I now have to go back for her belongings. Every time I called, staff had to "check her chart" and put me on hold, and it never felt like anyone actually knew or was truly monitoring my dog. The front desk was rude and dismissive at drop-off, and I was given zero reassurance that my dog was in caring hands. I do not believe my dog was in immediate physical danger -- but she was absolutely emotionally neglected, and the failure to communicate active illness is completely unacceptable. I have cancelled her Christmas stay and will never return. This facility may look nice on the surface. What it lacks is real-time medical judgment, transparency, and basic accountability. I would never recommend allowing your dog to stay in a room without a camera here, because without one, you truly have no way of knowing what is happening or what isn't being communicated. Based on my experience, transparency only existed because I had visual access and kept pushing for answers. I trusted this facility to protect and communicate about my dog without me having to play detective, and that trust was completely broken.

I had to pay extra, it seems just to make sure my puppy didn't use the restroom in her crate (which is basically what they are kept in!). Essentially 2 hots and a cot literally. You are nickel and dimed. They wouldn't even let me say bye as we dropped her off! Granted this was a last resort and last minute thing but NEVER AGAIN! Should be called "Suite Paws Last Resort!" The cancellation policy on their web page states the high season is between Memorial Day and Labor Day, and cancellation within 14 days will result in a 50% charge of the total boarding fee. All other holidays, including Easter, are subject to keeping the deposit, which could be used for future services. I think this is a fair cancellation policy, but I was not offered this option. When I challenged the manager on violating their own policy, I was offered was 25% of the total boarding fee, which amounts to $190, not the deposit we paid, which was $0.
