I can't say enough about the staff and management (not going to name names for fear of missing someone!). They are responsive, caring, proactive when the see something different, clean ...

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am submitting this formal complaint regarding my experience with Dogtopia's handling of my adopted dog during multiple visits and boarding stays. Across these interactions, I observed repeated communication inconsistencies, a lack of transparency regarding incidents, and increasingly unprofessional conduct toward my pet. Records show staff provided conflicting explanations about my dog's behavior and condition. At times, I was told my dog was "great overnight," while at other times staff described him as "grumpy," "snappy," "overstimulated," or involved in behavioral incidents. There were also discrepancies regarding the cause of my dog's limp and paw injury. These inconsistencies created confusion and concern regarding the accuracy of incident reporting, staff supervision, and the overall handling of my pet. Communications frequently came across as defensive and dismissive of my concerns rather than providing clear, professional, and collaborative updates. I am concerned my dog was unfairly labeled as aggressive while staff simultaneously acknowledged he was placed in overstimulating and crowded environments without access to calmer accommodations. This raises concerns that environmental management and supervision may have contributed to the reported incidents. Additionally, some staff communications became excessive and distressing, feeling accusatory and intimidating rather than compassionate or solution-oriented. As the owner of an adopted pet, I expected consistent, professional care and respectful communication. I respectfully request the following actions: Conduct a formal review of how my pet was managed while in Dogtopia's care. Review staff communication practices and incident reporting procedures for consistency and accuracy. Provide clarification regarding the conflicting explanations concerning my dog's injury and behavior. Ensure fair and professional treatment for all customers and adopted pets, free from bias, intimidation, or unnecessary escalation. Take appropriate corrective actions to improve transparency, accountability, and customer relations moving forward. This complaint is supported by documented text communications from Dogtopia staff describing the incidents, behavioral assessments, injury explanations, and subsequent interactions. I appreciate your time and attention to this matter and request that this complaint be formally documented and reviewed. Sincerely, [Redacted] Supporting Notes From Communications * Staff initially stated there were "no issues," then later reported aggression and overstimulation concerns. * Conflicting explanations were provided regarding the source of my dog's limp and paw injury. * Staff acknowledged the playroom was unusually busy and that calmer rooms were unavailable on certain days. * Repeated behavioral accusations were made while also acknowledging environmental overstimulation and lack of separation options.

They get excited, their tails wagging, and vocal as we pull into the parking lot. I highly recommend Bone Voyage whether you're seeking a doggy daycare visit or overnight accommodations. When setting up boarding, I followed online steps to generate an estimate only to be told by automation that they didn't give estimates. Prepare for things like that to just happen. Good luck getting them to answer the phone. I tried putting my dog in daycare for a couple days so she could feel the place out before her stay and I kept getting brick-walled. They never, within 45 days, had an opening. I was told they were getting such a demand that they have to turn away regulars. When you set up a profile, you fill in important info about this and that. It's mostly easy. I did so, preparing for a getaway about a month and a half later. My puppy Angel wasn't spayed at the time. By the check-in date, she was spayed. I took her to the facility, signed her up, provided a bag of food I bought, and went on my trip. The website says they'll send you pics of your dog in activity. Two days into my vacation, no pics. I called, no answer, so I left a message. I was eventually texted back with them saying I hadn't signed up for it. Okay, my fault. Keep in mind, you have to sign up for this. Then I found out she wasn't playing with the other dogs because they had assumed she wasn't spayed. Again, I had no idea about this, but you have to take it upon yourself to update ALL information in the profile, as the staff operate off that. So...after finally getting someone on the phone, I had the profile updated and Angel was clear to play with other dogs. The pics they sent me were 4 blurry, hastily taken photos of Angel and another dog in the lobby. Nothing of her taking action in the play area or anything. And no photos of her playing the next day. While the woman who contacted me was great and literally went above and beyond in trying to please, the results weren't satisfactory. It's a good place - don't get me wrong. But they tell you almost nothing, the website features seem neglected, the pics weren't good and communication is tough to come by. A.

Lately, we seem to have an issue with getting the dog washed or nail-clipped there. They claim the dog is being aggressive by showing her teeth to the tech. We even gave the dog Gabapentin which was recommended by the Gentle Care Animal Hospital but still, they couldn't finish the assignment and blamed her (the dog) for being too aggressive. Our dog is not aggressive, she probably just didn't like what was being done to her. The clinic is supposed to know how to handle larger dogs in similar situations and not make excuses all the time. If this would be super easy, we would have done this ourselves. This is your line of business and you should be able to tackle slightly more complicated than straightforward assignments... This happened to us there (at Gentle Care Animal Hospital at Tryon) on several occasions even as we followed pre-procedure procedures given by Gentle Care Animal Hospital. Tried discussing this with the local manager (I think her name was Becky Stevenson) but that didn't help. We will not be returning there and be taking our business elsewhere.
