I have been taking English Springer Spaniels for grooming for over 40 years, and Groomingdales is the absolute best. If you just look in the window at the dogs being groomed, it is apparent the dogs are well taken care of and are perfectly happy being there. What a nice quaint place to take your dog for all of your grooming needs. I went here due to the recommendation from a neighbor. The staff was very friendly and helpful, as a first timer coming into their shop. The haircut and nail trims were great for the puppy., as he came out nice and well manicured and clean when i picked him up. The one thing i don't like is that they try to upsell you. Not sure why it wouldn't be included in the price, (nail grinding is extra), but nail trims are included. or using 'high end shampoos'. There shouldn't be that option. all the animals should be given the same type of priority...why should there be an upcharge for the shampoos? Overall though, the facility is very good and clean. they have a lot to offer, just don't like the options as noted above. read more

Friendly staff. However my dog had a cut on her stomach when I picked her. This occurred on 2 separate occasions. The groomer did NOT inform me of the cut on her stomach. I saw blood when I was running her stomach after the groom and was concerned. Obviously the groomer cut her. read more

The best. I love Groomingdales. My dog was in a kennel for fifteen days. He came home matted. I took him in for his bath and blow dry. Groomingdales managed to get the matted hair combed through . He had some shaved area of the underside but his appearance is as he was before the kennel stay. read more

I'm sure that Groomingdales does a fabulous job on dog hair trims, shampooing, etc but as far as nail grinding, the service varies according to which groomer you get. The first time I walked in and had it done for my dog, it was outstanding work. My dog's nails never looked better. But this time my dog got an abrasion and her dew claw got pulled and was bleeding at the base. The groomer who did the nail grinding didn't round the edges so it literally looks like cutters were used. I asked her if she had grinded them and she said "yes." The photos tell a different story. If I could schedule an appointment with a particular groomer I would do so, but they only allow walk-ins for nail trims.. read more

I couldn't find a place that wasn't booked out. This place was fast got me in same day because of a cancellation. My dogs coat was never as fluffy, wait was only 3/4 hours for my dog to be finished and picked up. I wish it was in the downtown apex wasn't a fan of the location it was difficult getting in and out with traffic. The groomer was very knowledgeable. I have a very stubborn and nervous 7 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback that hates getting her nails trimmed. She is very skittish around new people. When I dropped Maverick off at Groomingdales, Stephanie was so friendly and welcoming. I felt bad leaving her with a very obstinate pup, but Stephanie was so reassuring. She gave an update call midway through to let me know how Mav was doing and when she'd be ready. When I arrived for pick up, Maverick was tail-wagging happy, well groomed, and smelling great! Yes maam! Chantal was amazing. She cut my Shih Tzu baby exactly correct. I am amazed and can't stop kissing her little white face! She is gorgeous! Her before and after photos are ... whoa! My Silky Terrier didn't transform as drastically because I didn't want that and Chantal complied. He only needed to be combed out and bangs trimmed and feet rounded with nails grinder. Perfection on him too. The location always gets me but coming from South 1, when you see a Yamaha store then it is coming up soon. Turn into the parking lot and it is next to Molly Maids. Due to COVID-19, payment is done outside with you giving your card or cash to a trusted person and they run it inside. You will get your receipt via email. Also your babies will be given to you outside and taken from you outside. Works for me! Oh... no TAP so bring your physical card. Starts at $60 to groom. Starts!! If your dog is matted like my girl is from her brother constantly chewing on her ears, face, and tail... (his saliva is clearly sticky), don't worry... Chantal can cut those out and make your baby look amazing even if you don't normally get a shorter cut. I love our shorter cut. Yay! read more
