Arlie and Sophie are always taken care of by the staff at Groomingdales! I recommend them to other responsible dog owners! They are great with my 14 year old and do wonderful cuts on my doodle which is hard to find! When my doodles adult coat started to come in, Jess was sweet enough to spend a few minutes with me and give me grooming tips since I was not familiar with my puppies new coat. Just took our lab/pointer mix in to see the folks at Groomingdales to get a good grooming. She is a bit of a nervous dog, but they were super friendly and accommodating . Dog looked great and wasn't totally wigged out afterwards (they asked about hair dryers and went with a more passive drying approach - which kept the stress/anxiety levels down). Our newest dog is a maltese and her hair is all over the place. Normally, we groom our dogs ourselves, but with our maltese, everytime we tried, she just looked hideous. So, we decided we needed professional help. I've been wary of grooming, especially with all the news of pets being mistreated these days. So...I had to choose carefully. Apparently I'm the first to review Groomingdales, but if you do a Google search, you'll see there are several reviews on G+, Yellow Pages, and Facebook--all of which were great. Between the reviews and the fact that Groomingdales is only 10minutes from my house (because what if there's an emergency?!), I made an appointment. I called on Wednesday and was able to get a Saturday appointment (oh, did I mention they're also open on Saturday?). Jessica was my groomer and she was wonderful. She listened to everything--how short I wanted my maltese cut, how her face should look, how her tail should look, and concerns about blow drying. She assured me she would call me if anything and also said I was welcome to call her to check on how things were going (I held back from doing so....barely). After 4 hours, I came to pick my dog up and she looked like a whole nother dog! A perfect cut, so fluffy and even. The price was very reasonable and competitive as well. TL;DR: I'll definitely be bringing my dog back when she's in need of a good cut. Jessica was very attentive and professional. Great prices too! read more

Our doodle has been groomed at three other places in the Apex/Cary area. One was ok, but two (at vet offices) specialized in hack jobs. Then!? Groomingdales!!! It was recommended by a neighbor with a doodle and we have *never* been disappointed! They have a tremendous staff who are terrific groomers; they take care of our dog ever so well, and they are always friendly and accommodating even to this ungroomed human. We've had such a tough time finding a groomer that could trim my Terrier -mix's nails without making her bleed. Last month we took hr to a place that made her limp for a couple days. Today we went to Goormingdales and it was a very positive experience. They ground her nails and were careful with her. No blood. And I am confident she will start to get more comfortable if we keep bringing her here. I love how clean it was and though the hairdresser-style stations were adorable. read more

I was specific with what we wanted to do as we are trying to preserve as much as the puppy black hair as possible (once it's cut, it's gone). We met with Colleen and she was amazing. Dropped off my pup yesterday for a regular grooming and asked for them to notify my wife when ready as I would not be available to answer. Not only did they not call her, they called me instead. Strike one for not following directions. When my wife arrived to pick up our pooch, she was yelled at by the employee twice, strike two. This employee was ruder than rude, and my wife was very appalled that someone could be in the service industry with an attitude as such. She then held her hand out in a gesture to ask for payment. My wife had to ask what the total was and was given a number. The employee took the card inside and made the payment with the added tip my wife approved. She brought the card out, but no receipt. Strike three. I check my bank account this morning and find out they charged $20 more than what was agreed! Strike four, five and six! Giving three stars because my pup looks and smells great. We may return if Bam-Bam is not working there any longer. read more

Today was our first visit, what started out as a schedule mishap, that was quickly resolved. The staff were all very nice and went above and beyond to fit my dog in! I've owned my dog since she was 5 months old. She is now 8 years old. I will honestly say, she received the best grooming work in her entire doggy life. She got a puppy cut. I love giving her attention, but now I can't stop patting her velvety fur! No more dog breath; her claws were grinded to perfection! This is definitely my go to dog groomer. I've had my 3 year old golden retriever in twice now and each time, the folks at groomingdales have been a delight to work with. My dog was incredibly nervous about being left with strangers the first time I left her there. However, upon pickup she came out happy and of course well groomed.
