I was a new customer at this location, I was driving over 20 mins out of my way. I used their introductory offer that came up on social media. Now, I have a ton of allergies, so I brought my own shampoo and asked if they could use it. They said no problem, I still paid the same price as someone who was dropping off their dog and using their product which I didn't mind because of the inconvenience of using my shampoo. I picked my dog up, I was extremely happy. Second time I go to get him bathed, again same price, they let me know that I need to bring a doctors note for MYSELF stating that I actually have allergies and they need to use the shampoo I provide because of whatever policy they claim, which no one could tell me. I'm sorry but that's actually ridiculous. I'm paying the same price as everyone else, I never asked for a discount or anything. I won't be going back because it felt so disrespectful and insulting. read more

They're pretty good, we take our Dog there a lot for their de-shedding treatment (which is great). I really only have three complaints: 1: they always try to sell you on a membership, yet it seems like the plans and prices change monthly (or the people explaining it aren't on the same sheet of music). 2: Second is that our Dog is often still damp after we pick him up. I get it: he's a big dog who is very furry, and often times he'll appear dry when he isn't. Still, would be nice if I didn't have to dry him out further after getting him. 3: Finally, it's annoying they don't have an online appointment system and that you have to call to make appointments, especially since they (bizarrely) don't have it set so it goes to voicemail when they're on the phone! I hadn't heard a busy signal since the 90s until I called them. I don't get a lot of the negative reviews; it might be because this is Apex and everyone else owns a Doodle, and the grooming stuff is totally different with them. read more

I had a very good experience and I ended up signing up the membership. I came here to leave a review and was suprised by the one stars. The front desk did mention ahead that the new member offer did not include blow-dry but the dog would be Towel dried. They also made it clear that the nail cut/clip did not come with nail grind. Unprofessional, terribly mis-managed, poor customer service, and unclear marketing. What they have done well a few times is the actual grooming, which is why we kept coming back and giving it another shot. That said, we have experienced massive miscommunication in their "package deals" which were explained to us three different ways by different employees. Every time we came in, it was a new hire who didn't know anything about their services. When we tried the monthly subscription and cancelled, we continued to get charged and they REFUSED to refund us stating they did not have a record of the cancellation. We cancelled twice with them! Once over the phone and once in person when finally picking up our dog. Customers remember how they make you FEEL, more than what you did for them. read more

Old puppy's first time getting groomed and when I walked in the receptionist had the audacity to say my dog wasn't the breed that I had put him down as. To add onto that, They cut my dogs quick on multiple nails and they broke one of them and said "It happened before the grooming, before you got here", which I know is a lie because I check his nails daily. My dog is a pit mix and can be loud sometimes and when I walked in i heard a dog barking and someone kick a crate and say "shut up" very aggressively. Lastly, my pup is still greasy and I don't think that he was properly washed. This was not okay. And I REGRET paying $35, glad my pup is a forgiving loving baby. read more

Visited this pet grooming establishment recently as a first timer. I specifically asked for them to express my dogs anal glands as he's scooting. The lady said they will only do it if they feel it is necessary. Picked up my dog in 30 mins and my dog was returned to me wet/damp. So now after I paid and tipped I had to go back home and dried him myself. Furthermore my dog apparently did not get the anal gland expression as he was still scooting and now I have to pay go to somewhere else. We attempted to email the owner/establishment and no response. It's fine, they have lost a customer and I hope others avoid this place as well due to poor customer service and pet service. So sad. read more

Do not take your dog here! They employees aren't "dog people" and they aren't "people people" either. The first time I brought my dogs in the front desk staff were rude but I hoped at least the services would be good. My dogs came back smelling worse than when I dropped them off but they had been brushed out and deshedded. I figured I would give them one more chance since it was a new business. Huge mistake! I was already inside with one dog and when my husband started to come in a minute later the obnoxious older employee slammed the door and yelled at him that he couldn't come in. (Apparently they have a policy of only 1 pet family at a time) it took some shouting from me and my husband for this awful woman to stop yelling at him and let him in. I was surprised that she called less than 30 minutes later to tell me I had to come and get my dog because he was freaking out. I man who first helped me arrange the monthly service for my 3 dogs assured me that my dog who gets very anxious if long kept with one of my other dogs, would be kept with one of them and not caged alone. When I reminded her of this she said that was illegal and just to come and get him. Three minutes later she called to say I should wait at least 30 minutes before leaving bc the other dogs wouldn't be done. I said I was coming and getting my dog as she requested ASAP (was I supposed to leave him terrified there?!) when I got there I said I wanted all of my dogs despite none of them being bathed. I also said I wanted to cancel my monthly subscription. The woman had the audacity to try to get me to pay an additional $15 (the monthly fees covered all services I had requested so she was just making up nonsense). I left and hoped that would be the end. Then I got my credit card statement and they charged my for the next months service anyway! When I emailed the owner asking for a refund she asked for a second chance and I said no and then she never bothered to respond or refund my money. So wish I had read the reviews before going to the nasty place! read more

I was hopeful. It's nice to have a groomer closer to my house. Unfortunately, they didn't live up to their own hype. I dropped my doggo off for a complete service - shampoo, deshed treatment, brush & blowout. When I picked her up, it was clear that she had not been trimmed. She was clean, but her fur had not been trimmed around her ears and paws. There was literally fur flying around her as they brought her to me. Now, she's a hairy dog, but she didn't look groomed. They told my wife she was too anxious so they were only able to trim her body. Not her legs, her face, her tail, her nails, etc. Then they had the audacity to ask if we wanted to purchase a membership. I understand she's a puppy and this was her first grooming visit but we expected more than her body to be trimmed, especially after they charged us $105. Do they think this is ok???? Worst experience, hair cut was horrible, half of what I asked, pricey, don't bother even trying.

My dog has been going once a month for a bath and nail grind for about a year. We've had a good experience overall. The staff turnover seems fairly high so that may be a reason for bad reviews (also my dog doesn't need haircuts so I can't speak to that). My only complaint is that sometimes the front desk staff gives too much negative feedback at pick up - "he didn't like the hairdryer" or "didn't like the nail grinder" (so they didn't do a thorough job) as if I can lecture him about being more respectful next time. It makes me want to just skip paying for those add-on services. read more

Worst grooming experience ever! Our usual groomer was booked too far out so I thought I would try somewhere new. I brought my 2 dogs in for grooming, ages 14 and 7. They have long hair so are used to regular haircuts. I returned at 5:00 to pick up my pups and they told me that they could only do one dog because they other one was moving too much. They claimed that they had trimmed him a little around his tail but he didn't even smell clean. Then they charged me $160 and had the audacity to ask for a tip! They are crooks! read more

I came here to leave a review, and was surprised when I saw the one star reviews posted. Completely the opposite of my experience at Scenthound. I don't know if maybe they're under new management, but I've gotten great service the two times that I've been. Everyone is so friendly and absoutely dote on my little girl. Our first visit was a bath with brush out and blow dry, and the second visit involved a full cut. She was a little longer than I like, but that's my fault for not being more specific. She came out soft and fluffy, smelling great, and super happy. She absolutely loves the attention she gets there. read more

Worst grooming experience ever. When we brought our golden doodle in, the receptionist checked her fur and said she was glad our dog was not matted. We left our dog and got a call 10 minutes later. The receptionist said they had found sone matting on her chest and stomach and our dog would have to be cut a little shorter in those areas than we had asked for. I said we did not want her shaved and we did not want her tail cut. When we picked her up, she had been totally shaved, including her tail. They shaved her so close to the skin in some areas that there is no fur whatsoever and 3 days later, her skin is still red and irritated. One ear was cut at least 2 inches shorter than the other and her entire body is unevenly shaved. Our dog is still traumatized from her time there and it will be 5 months or more before she stops looking hideous. read more

I find it very funny and but also very sad how people always want to be so negative and only post or comment when they have something bad or negative to say. People need to learn to build others up instead of trying to always destroy and knock others down. With that being said, this place is GREAT. I have never seen a dog leave there that didn't look amazing. The current groomer is GREAT and my dog loves her. I will always have my dog groomed here. BEST GROOMER EVER!!!!
