I have been going to All About Pets Grooming for many years, and I highly recommend them. I believe that they are the best in Raleigh - family owned with reasonable prices and excellent service. They are also easy to find, centrally located in North Raleigh. It's important to know that they are frequently booked out 4-6 weeks. So when you make an appointment, allow some time to see them because they are very popular. And well worth the wait! I have two dogs (a Cavachon and an English Cocker Spaniel) which require frequent grooming. I am very particular about their grooming and they always look great! I also appreciate the fact that my pups love to go there which gives me great peace of mind. All About Pets is owned by Joyce who is dedicated to providing the best care for your dog. Joyce is highly experienced, detail oriented, very kind and truly cares about you and your dog. She keeps thorough and accurate records about each detail of your dog's grooming. Each grooming session is custom made just for your dog. The groomers are excellent, too - very thorough and experienced. They also provide detailed report cards summarizing each visit. They provide ear cleaning, expression of anal glands, nail grinding and de-matting during each visit. I like the fact that my dogs have the same groomer for each visit which maintains consistency. Can't believe my little guy is almost 10 years old, and he's been coming here for all of those years for his spa needs. While having a shih poo is good for one's allergies, it also means regular grooming is necessary. That alone is rare these days! Jenni and her team are so wonderful and treat, love, and care for your dog as if it was their own. My corgi gets very excited when we start pulling into the parking lot so I know it is mutual. Jenni has even called me to genuinely find out if my dog was okay after hearing about a random accident through a mutual friend. I just love that I can drop off one of the most valuable possessions in my dog, and they treat her possibly above and beyond my expectation. I recently moved to Raleigh and needed to find a place to groom my extremely fluffy dog. I was behind on getting her groomed, so her fur was starting to get impacted. All About Pets did an AMAZING job in getting all of her undercoat out! I was very impressed. In the past, I've had issues with groomers not getting all of her undercoat out. I was also very happy with the price, I've been charged a lot more for grooming in Massachusetts, but I don't know how the price compares to other places in the region. They also got her an appointment quickly. All of the staff was super nice and friendly. My pup seemed happy when she came out and she liked all the people there, as did I. The store front is a bit hidden and not obvious. The shop isn't super fancy. But I like that, it's just straight forward grooming. I plan on taking my dog here for all her grooming needs from now on! read more

Being new to Raleigh, we were not sure where to take our yellow lab to have her nails done. We used to just stop in at Petsmart but were not always happy and the prices were on the high side. My husband found All About Pets and took Sophie to have her nails clipped and it was only $8. I decided to get her the full treatment this week. Nails, bathed, teeth and ears cleaned. I called last week and they were booked due to the holiday but I was able to get Sophie in a week. I was told to drop her off by 8am and they would call me in the afternoon when she was done. The shop is located in the back of a pretty empty strip mall so it is a bit hard to find. When I returned, the staff was so nice, they told me how much they enjoyed Sophie. They gave me a detailed sheet with what she had done. All for $34 and she looked and smelled great! The staff is friendly and it is apparent they love working with animals. Our 14 year old Mastiff mix has been going here exclusively since I moved to Raleigh, 2 years ago. Between his age and a cancerous tumor on his leg, he needs a lot of special attention. They always treat him gently and take their time with him, at his slow pace. Today he napped on the futon in their front lobby, greeting customers, to take a break between grooming activities. Jenny, and the whole team, clearly love their jobs. I truly cannot say enough about Jenny. She is one of the kindest and most patient groomers we've ever experienced. We never found anyone quite her and are looking forward to our first trip back. The store (which also sells an array of other pet supplies) is tucked away in a strip mall and doesn't look like much. We've taken our "baby" here a few times and have been really happy with the results. We have a 45 lb mutt, we think he's a lab mix, and he sheds like there's no tomorrow. He is also an absolute sissy about getting his nails clipped, so we finally figured we'd just take him to a professional. Everyone we've met has been very friendly, and our dog always seems happy when we pick him up in the afternoon. They even give us a little report card about how the grooming went! We've purchased the standard bath + shed treatment each time, and it's only cost us about 30 dollars, which is crazy reasonable. They are also really great about getting back to emails, which is great for me because I never remember to call and book during actual business hours. I ultimately went 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple small things. One is that some of dogs nails have come back flakey after we've had him done, although as I mentioned early he's a pain about his feet (like a huge pain, I've had several dogs and never seen one so persnickety about his feet)' so he could just be thwarting their efforts. The second is the location. I certainly don't expect the ritz, but this place is tucked back in a dark corner of a half occupied run down looking shopping center. My husband had originally dropped our pup off in the morning the first time we took him in, and I couldn't find the place and had to call my husband at work to figure out where it was. This isn't a huge deal though, and a nice location would probably mean a higher cost, so it's not really a deal breaker for me. All in all we've been very happy and will continue to bring our pup here! read more

I've been taking my Welsh Terrier to All About Pets for about two years. We had a horrible experience at a local PetSmart, and this place was on the way to/from work for me. He looked adorable after his haircut, and they even gave him a bandana! His haircuts were so great, and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable that I started taking him there for baths when I realized that I wasn't doing a great job with them at home. We're not really regulars, but they know who my dog is, and they leave notes about how he behaved. Also, he isn't wiped out when he comes home, so I imagine it's not a stressful day for him. All About Pets Grooming are the best groomers in Raleigh. Hands down. They are accomodating, friendly with humans and really know how to love on, groom and comfort pets, especially the anxious ones. I know this because my dog was a rescue from when I was living in San Francisco, and upon moving to Raleigh, I struggled to find any place that would take him. He has really bad anxiety and distrust towards people using any clippers or scissors on him and tends to snap. The groomers at AAPG were the only ones willing, kinda and patient enough to work with him. They suggested that he continue to come to see them, and their advice was spot on--his anxiety has been improving, little by little. It's a work in progress, but I can't thank AAPG enough for taking a chance on my little guy. He always gets taken in with loving arms and brought out looking and smelling wonderful, and as happy as a pup can be! Can't recommend them enough! read more
