I'm happy and confident after so much training and socialization!

We are very grateful that someone recommended Green Beagle Lodge to us when we relocated to the Chapel Hill area. We have an unaltered rottweiler and when we got him as a puppy, wanted to ensure that he was well trained and socialized. We brought him to GBL around his 1st year birthday after doing months training on our own and attending obedience courses. Our dog wasn't used to being around other dogs by himself and scored a 3.92 on his first GBL trial day, just shy of the recommended minimum score of 4 to show readiness to attend. I really appreciated having this trial day and understanding what we could work on to improve our dog's socialization. With the consistent help of Tara and attending GBL for nearly a year, our dog is doing much better and has successfully had two over night trial visits, which would have been **unheard** of when he first started. GBL has great, clean facilities, which we toured on a whim before starting training. This showed me that staff were always ready to show the facilities and, what impressed me the most, was how clean everything was. There's no smell! GBL staff runs the facility like a very orderly school-staff know the animals, their needs, and are very attentive. It's always hard leaving your fur baby, however, this team has shown their care and diligence. We are most grateful to Tara for helping our pup gain confidence and achieve so many goals. Thank you!

We adopted our pup about a year ago in the pandemic. The rescue we got him from had very little info about him, and he ended up being much higher energy than we expected (especially for our first dog!). Not having a backyard was tough despite 3 walks a day, so we looked into daycare options very early on. Green Beagle was highly recommended by one of our friends. Having that space for Otis to run around off leash was a game changer for us & allowed us to make it work. He loves everyone at Green Beagle and is always SO excited to be there. When we are out of town, we also board him there and know he's in good hands and is having a blast. We started with a half day weekly and he now goes twice a week, which is the perfect amount of time to keep this energetic, athletic pup from any destructive behaviors in the house while we are working but also not overly stimulated. We also love looking through the daily pictures from when he's at daycare to see if we can spot him playing. As with any daycare (for kids or pets), he gets an illness going around occasionally & has gotten an injury but they let us know immediately and we were able to get him stitched up. Not getting that pent up energy out while he recovered was the tough part, so it's still well worth it for us. Scheduling is tough unless you book well in advance, but it makes sense because of their great staff, facilities, and just the way they do things (grouping dogs by size/energy, dog to staff ratio, naps, rotating through yards). Hopefully they can expand to fit the demand because they're awesome!

Our dog LOVES this place -- the Pittsboro location. It's surprisingly affordable for how clean and nice it is, and we were thrilled they offered a legit assessment to make sure all pups are on their best behavior. Our 6 month old lab/golden has always come back in great shape whether it's just a day-long stay or a longer visit. So grateful to have this nearby!

Upon drop off I was informed that the staff will be doing an assessment of Mossey mannerisms, and her behavior and place her according. I was completely okay with this because Moosey is a very well behaved, loves other dogs, kids, people kind of pup. They gave me access to the live camera footage so that I could check in on her if I'd like. At around 9ish I decided to log into the camera feed, and I saw that Moosey was in with the bigger group of dogs which I was fine with because she normally plays with bigger dogs with no issue. Moosey was running and playing and trying to figure out what all was going on, new smells, new noises, new environment. A few minutes later I checked back on the camera and to my surprise I noticed a brown and white, much bigger dog mounting Moosey (she is a spayed girl). This other dog had about 100 pounds over Moosey. To my surprise, no staff was near to redirect and correct the other dog from mounting. Moosey was not happy, she was scared. Her tail was tucked and she was very uncomfortable. This happened at least 4 more times with no staff correction. I called my wife and told her what was going on and as she was watching the camera feed at that time and she noticed three large black labs circling Moosey each one of them eventually mounting her. I told my wife I was going to pick Moosey up at that point. Upon me getting ready my wife sent me a picture where a staff member is sitting in a chair outside with 40+ dogs and watching my pup who is 7 months old get chased down, circled and mounted again by the lab dogs. Once again, no redirection, no separating the labs and brown/white dog from her, NOTHING! She sat in the chair and watched my little girl get terrorized! I was furious! Upon walking in to pick Moosey up I asked to speak to a manager/owner, and a lady finally pops out beside the office behind the desk. I told her what I had witnessed and how unpleased I was with the staff. I expressed to her that circling and not correcting mounting was how fights started. She then said, "we haven't had a fight in 30 years." I told her that no ma'am that's exactly how fights start, especially when circled by THREE dogs! Then she explained that "they were training new staff members." Um, excuse me?! That makes your case worse. Because if you are training new staff members to WATCH DOGS, why do you not have a senior staff member out there with them?! Your staff member on several occasions watched my dog get harassed, bullied and mounted. But in her "report card" your staff member wrote and I quote, "She could use a bit of work on recall and learning to regulate the intensity of her play." My question is this, if a pup's play is supposedly "intense" how is she getting mounted over 9 times, in just the times I was actually watching the camera? The false narrative that you wrote in the report card doesn't align with what happened and was allowed to happen yesterday to my sweet girl with no redirection from your staff, no separation of other dogs from my dog from your staff. The only thing I did witness from your staff was them eating Cheez Its in "Inside area 2" with dogs present (which could cause a food aggression fight between dogs), I witnessed them push the dogs away from around them while they stared at their phones, I watched them sit in chairs and do their hair and text. What I and my wife witnessed yesterday on live streams and what our sweet Moosey had happen is totally unacceptable! No apology, no accountability whatsoever. Just excuses and defection. I was even told, "Well you should've called and told us she was getting mounted, then we would have fixed it." So, I have to pay you to allow my dog to be in daycare, but I also have to be your supervisor and watch a live feed all day long to make sure my pup is okay--but still pay you?? So, if you are in the market for a daycare and truly love your pup-I beg you to find someplace else. This is not the place, unless you are okay with this behavior. Safety isn't a luxury; it's the bare minimum that should be required!!

Absolutely Do Not Recommend - Lack of Communication and Poor Judgment…read more I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with Go Dog off Miami Blvd leaves me no choice. In early spring, my 9-month-old puppy contracted Bordetella and a respiratory infection during his very first week of doggie day camp at Go Dog. While I chalked that up to bad luck and appreciated that illnesses can circulate in group dog settings, I was hopeful things would improve. He recovered fully, and we returned--until July, when things took a serious turn for the worse. I boarded my dog for 7 nights while I was out of the country. Despite the fact that he had fully recovered six weeks prior and I had gone out of my way to provide a formal clearance note from my vet, management decided--without my knowledge or consent--to isolate him from the other dogs. They made this decision unilaterally, completely dismissing my communication and the official veterinary documentation I provided. Not only did this show an alarming lack of communication and transparency, but it was also an incredibly poor judgment call that affected my dog's experience and well-being during his stay. There was zero accountability, no meaningful discussion, and no respect for the time I took to address their concerns proactively. Go Dog made a terrible decision, and I no longer trust them with my pet's care. I will never bring him back, and I urge other dog owners to think twice before entrusting their pets to this facility.

I thought after a few months I would try again since reviews looked better. There is new management now someone named Ashley. I called the day before and booked a daycare visit. I even double checked with the girl and had her records sent over the girl assured me it was ok and to bring her in the morning. I even called my vet In Florida and her daycare there also. Her Bordatella shot was good until 12/2021. All correct on their files but somehow this company continues to report incorrect findings. If a business can't be honest and just own up to their mistake it shows poor quality in manager and owners. Notice my first review of this place was pretty nice and honest. I Brought her in at 6:45 am and they said oh her bordatella is due we can't let her out she will be crated until we can contact you further. Mind you at this point I had already dropped her off and was already at work! If I would have known this I would have never dropped her off. I had to leave work and come back and get her and then drop her back off and then go back to work. ** Yes when I called they did give me my package back of 60 some dollars which was good. Another clue dog parents is your dog does tell you if she likes daycare ...at least mine does because she has been going since she was a puppy. I had 3 other doggy daycare centers in NC and one is next to a vet check my dogs vaccination records that state she was good until December 2021. She cowered as soon as I brought her in and she peed on the floor and tried to go straight to the exit door!!!! Should've been my first clue! I feel bad even bringing her back here. Not only is her bedside manner lacking (most of the time she spends minimum time in the room, doesn't listen to what you have to say, and you spend the rest of the time asking questions through a tech), but she's misdiagnosed our dog multiple times. I try to avoid her whenever possible, preferring the other two doctors, but when you have an urgent concern and she's the only doctor in, you have to go with what you're given. The real issue with her started this past October. We brought our dog to Eno for a routine dental cleaning on 9/29 (performed by Dr. Grinstead - I didn't get a choice of who did it). He had two little incisors taken out due to deep pockets, but otherwise was given a clean bill of health. Two days later, he couldn't lie his head down. When we brought him in to be checked out, we of course got Grinstead again. She looked at everything on the dog except his mouth (didn't even peek at the extraction site) and told us it was probably acid reflux and neck pain. Fast forward a month and a half, through multiple visits to urgent care, the ER, and Eno, and we find that our dog has an abscess, instability in his lower jaw, and a bone infection. At no point in this entire process did Eno ask to perform xrays or other diagnostics to determine the cause of our dog's pain; they just kept throwing pain meds and muscle relaxers at us. What's worse is that Grinstead's first diagnosis of neck pain haunted us through every other appointment from then on out, because that's what people were looking for, even when I asked if it could be his mouth. Even after urgent care and the ER laid eyes on a sore under his tongue (which I fought for them to look at), the first response I got to an email to Dr. LeCuyer about seeing blood on his blanket again was, "Are we certain that the blood is from Loki's mouth and not his urine? I know he was having issues with a UTI at one point so just wanted to double check on that." Really?! I've been fighting for over a month to have someone check his mouth for issues, and you're still trying to pass it off as something other than his mouth? It's absolutely ridiculous. So here we are, thousands of dollars in the hole, with a dog still suffering from mouth pain, and having to be referred yet again, this time to a dental specialist, all from a supposedly picture-perfect cleaning. I'm furious, frustrated, and wrecked that we're a month and a half into this and our dog has received no relief. I will never recommend or patronize Eno again.
