I dropped my cat brady off on October 6th for a 2 day stay. This place is great! The people are super nice and the cat room was spotless. I had my dog here for a couple days over the weekend. He seemed fine, but 2-3 days after I picked him up, he started sneezing like crazy, I mean 20+ sneezes a day. My dog has never had such a reaction to anything and I took him to the vet since it was getting worse after a day. Vet told me that he was probably allergic to something at the Kennel, maybe their cleaning solution the blankets, the detergent they use... So unfortunately we won't be returning. My dog was on steroids and antibiotics for 10 days and it cost $150 for the vet. After $150 for boarding, I might as well should have brought him on my trip and just pay the penalty of $250 for the hotel. The people were nice, but am sad that I'll have to find another place. read more

We've now had at least 7-10 chances to board our pups w/ Green Level Kennel and I'm very satisfied w/ the service and the treatment of our dear pets. As one other poster noted, do check the hours for drop off & pick-up. That's common w/ most kennels though, so not an issue w/ GLK. Before we decided to use this kennel, we brought our dogs to Camp Canine in Cary, but we were basically priced out of using that service though it was close to our home. At GLK, the prices are very competitive and we took a tour before we decided to use them and were happy w/ the large size kennels that could accommodate both our dogs, as well as the exercise runs outside. Best of all, our pups always come home nicely tired out from their 'vacations'. read more

Almost every time I have picked up my Britany, someone else has had the same problem that I have... How do you get your pup to leave? Seriously, it's that good a kennel. I boarded my two dogs (ages 8 and 10) at Green Level Kennels for 4 days this past summer. I chose the place after recommendations from two different people. I had boarded my dogs and a much more expensive, "fancier" kennel before, but I've since been extremely turned off by the vet at the same facility, and don't really trust their care or reputation. I was extremely impressed with the personal level of customer service and believe that my dogs were well taken care of and well loved during their stay. We've been taking our german shepherd to GLK for 5 years - it's fondly known by her as "camp" and her excitement cannot be contained when we tell her she's "going to camp". Recently, we've added a 2nd GS to our family and the puppy is equally excited when we head to GLK. Very poor customer service. They take on too many dogs than they can handle. This kennel is not convenient to us, we have to travel out of our way to get to this place. This was worth the travel until this last experience. We realize they have separation anxiety and wanted to check up on them throughout the week. The staff were unable to say how our dogs were doing when we called. When we picked up our dogs after a week, the staff made snide comments about one of our dogs and were again unable to provide any details about the week. When we got home, we took out the bed that we sent with them to the kennel. What the staff at Green Level did not say was that one of our dogs chewed up the bed. The stuffing went everywhere in our house. We also discovered that one of the dog's stuffed animals was missing. All we want was the kennel to be open and honest with us. Tell us if one of our dog chewed up the bed or the toy. We need to know in case they actually ate the stuffing. When I called, I spoke with one of the owners. She had no concern on retaining a loyal customer. She said that staff was too busy to give a report. I find this hard to believe since Camp Bow wow provides a detailed write up after each visit and they have significantly more dogs. The owner cut me off mid sentence and asked if I had an upcoming reservation. I said that I did not have one scheduled. She cut me off again and said, 'Oh ok, because i was going to go ahead and cancel it for you'. WHAT?!?! What kind of business owner says this to a loyal customer and also a customer who just spent $450! I said that I will be going away again for a week in September and will be taking my business elsewhere. Her response, "OK" Very poor business leadership and customer service. I will never be taking my dogs back there again and advise people think twice before taking their dogs there as well. read more

This place is pretty good when it comes to getting your pets out and socializing with others. Their pick up and drop off hours are kind of annoying though, but understandable. The only thing that really ticked me off is the feeding. I boarded my two dogs together. They are on the same schedule. I measured the exact amount needed for the length of their stay. When I picked them up, there was still almost half a bag left for both. So, my dogs were underfed by almost half the amount of food. Also, the treats I provided were not given at all. Only reason I would use them again is if I had no other choice. read more

For years we took our dog to other big name boarding facilities in the area but he always seemed miserable being dropped off and being picked up. This year we changed to Green Level through a friend's recommendation and haven't looked back. They are reasonably priced, allow for a lot of outside time (alone or with other doggies), allow you to bring your own bedding, and have Sunday pick-up. These people really care about your pet and treat them like their own. read more

We have been boarding our dogs here for years. We love that 2 dogs from the same household can be boarded in the same run, and that they get so much outdoor exercise time, with or without other dogs. Our younger dog is very shy with new people but the staff manages her beautifully and were very happy to report on how much she came out of her shell during our dogs' last stay there. I trust this place 100% to take great care of our dogs. (And per the comment from the person who was concerned about leftover food, it's pretty common for dogs to eat less when they're in a situation that's outside of their routine. I don't see that as a reflection on GLK.) read more

Boarding a cat can be tricky. We had to leave our 1 1/2 year old rescue cat, Nettie, at Green Level for 2 weeks. We were out of town and having work done on our house. They were very frank about the difficulties of boarding cats. They work well with our vet and, we really had no choice. They took great care of Nettie. They even let him out in the cat room while preparing food for other animals so he could play and socialize. He did really well, refused just a couple meals, but got into the routine there. I cannot say enough good things, and I would definitely give them a 5 star rating for this cat. read more

This is probably the best place for dog boarding and day care in the Triangle area. My dog, Mellow, LOVES this place and is always super excited to go to GLK. He goes for day care twice a week and we recently boarded him as well. The folks here are very friendly and genuinely care about the dogs. The facility is clean and well maintained. The dogs are always carefully monitored and play groups are decided based on dog size and temperament which is perfect if you have a crazy dog like mine!! I was very nervous and anxious at first but I am so glad we picked GLK!! Definitely recommend to every dog owner.. read more

Just picked my girl up from here after a week long stay. While being boarded can be stressful to pets, I was so relieved to find her relaxed, happy, worn out and clean from her exit bath. I LOVE green level kennel! I trust almost no one with my high-needs dogs. My lab was very old, rarely could get up by himself, and took 5 medications a day. The staff at green level took excellent care of him with no extra charge, and didn't mind me calling regularly to check on him. Prices are very fair, especially considering all that's included. After he passed, I rescued a beagle who can be high-maintenance, but I trust them with him, also. I highly recommend them to anyone, especially if they are nervous about leaving their dog at a kennel. Board with them; you'll be glad you did. read more
