Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital

Hemlock Bluffs Animal Hospital

This practice seems to focus on training their vet techs to the highest possible level, so that the…read morevets can be in and out!! While I appreciate that the vet techs are knowledgeable and empowered, I don't appreciate that Dr. Parker listens only to what the tech relays, but doesn't take the time to have a two way conversation with the pet parent. I've had this experience more than once with more than one pet. AND, a vet tech called me stating that my dog's labs were normal, when they were actually abnormal. (Details below.) I started with Hemlock Bluffs 9 months ago, based on neighbor recommendation. I have a senior (12 y/o) and a youngster (3 y/o). Our first visit with my senior dog was AMAZING!! Dr. Blankenship (since retired) was awesome and the vet tech was very knowledgable. Next, I took my younger dog for a routine physical with Dr. Parker. The vet tech was again truly impressive! Dr. Parker, on the other hand, was in and out of the room just as quickly as possible. I've had dogs for over 30 years and my career was in healthcare. That is to say that I have reasonable expectations of balancing time. She was almost literally in and out. Fast forward, I took my senior in due to symptoms I was noticing. She's had hypothyroidism for many years. Again, the vet tech was awesome, but Dr. Parker failed to listen, spoke over me, and all but chastised me for my dog's weight (which was my concern!!!) I let that all go, knowing that what I really needed was a T4 level. In a couple days I received a phone call that my dog's T4 was normal. That made no sense to me (based on symptoms), so I asked the practice to email the lab report to me. Her T4 was "normal" for a dog who is NOT on thyroid medication, but "abnormal" for a dog who is on thyroid meds. I emailed Dr. Parker, asked for my dog's thyroid medication to be adjusted, explained the call that I had received, and received a new prescription for the proper dosage. BUT, no apology! And no mention that they take errors seriously and will work to retrain. Nothing!!! I've gone back once since. We saw Dr. Turner who is new and amazing!! She calls out her own results!! As did Dr. Blankenship. But, we'll be going elsewhere. I need to know that no matter who is covering when we have an emergency, I can count on the vet to have a conversation with me, rather than speaking at me based on what the vet tech told them.

Why? because according to the vets there was either a seizure or a blood clot. We were kept over 35 minutes without any updates. We could at least seen him alive before he died. We are not for trashing or writing negative reviews about anyone but this one deeply hurts from the bottom of our hearts. Trust is gone. If we ever welcome another dog he will not go to this place. God Bless

PetSound Daycare & Boarding

PetSound Daycare & Boarding

After trying out several other doggy day care facilities before we found this one, I can say…read moreconfidently that PetSound Daycare is LEGIT and very impressive. They work with all types of dogs, whether it is age (puppies to old timers), behaviors (shy to active), or size. Our dog Willow, a 40# border collie mix, felt right at home here. We decided to bring her twice a week for full days so that she can play with all of her furry and human friends. It was by chance that I found this place. I searched several doggy daycares on google, and read each place's reviews. The google reviews were great for both the daycare and veterinary hospital, and I saw 1 5 star review on yelp. I called one day and spoke to Nicole, who I started to realize is an amazing human. We met in person at the Dog Days of Cary event to learn more about what the facility is like, and decided to have our pup come for an assessment. Nicole puts all of her energy and effort into this place, and it shows. All of the dogs are well cared for and loved there. Long story short, this place is now our second home for Willow. Now when we get ready to go to daycare, we tell Willow that we are on our way to see the puppies!!! And she goes crazy and goes right to the door waiting for us to put the leash on her. She jumps on Nicole or Katie once we get inside to drop her off in the mornings, and is like Mom who?? Haha! We just feel really thankful to have found such a great place and I want to spread the good word that if you're looking for a great, caring, loving, friendly place to bring your dog where you don't have to worry about them, then this is the place. PS. We follow them on facebook because sometimes they post photos or videos of the puppy play time!! Really cool opportunity to watch our baby play with her friends.

It's very comforting to know that if there's medical emergency, hospital/vet is there. We are very glad that we have found this place for our girls here in Cary, not to mention it is in a very convenient location for pick up, dropoff from/to work place. Very friendly and reliable crew you can definitely count on! Thank you Petsound!

We LOVE Meowinn! I…read morerelocated to NC from across the country, and was surprised and relived when I found Meowinn! They have been a huge blessing and major help to me and my daughter when we need to find a safe, clean and caring place for our sweet orange tabby, Bleach. They are 30 mins away; however they have been the best place we've ever experienced and encountered. For more than a year now this has been the only place we take our sweet boy. Thank you Meowinn! We love your services and brag about you all the time! As we meet more cat owners in our new home state - we highly recommend you! Bleach may miss us when we're away, but he knows he's in good hands, and we couldn't ask for better care for him! Thank you for caring for our boy as if he's your own, and for sending daily pics/updates of how he is managing while we are away. We appreciate you!! You rock!!

We loved everything about our cat Harley's stay at MeowInn!…read moreThe space is clean, the kitty-condos are a very good size, and the owners obviously care about providing a top-notch stay for their feline patrons. Daily updates with pictures from the condo and/or playroom were a welcome way see that our cat was having a good time and warming up to the space. We strongly recommend giving your kitty a day at the spa, and we are honestly considering taking Harley back even between trips. The bath and blowout did wonders for her coat, and it never hurts to have pros clip those nails. Plus, she smelled great for a few days.

We had enjoyed amazing care back in Tampa from the same vet clinic for almost 18 years. As I searched for a great veterinarian in the area Morrisville Cat Hospital kept showing up everywhere with glowing reviews and happy pet families! When Dr. Beth Hraban came into the room we knew that our choice to drive the extra distance from our town was worth every minute spent in the car! She took great care with Wesley, was very gentle in examining him, and her vet techs were so loving with him as well. I appreciate all that Dr. Beth, Kamya, and the rest of the team did to make us feel comfortable with our new veterinary care and also to make Wesley so at ease in a new place.

Dr. Bailey is knowledgeable, kind and transparent when it comes to our vet visits, plan of care and the costs associated with that care. I never feel rushed and am able to ask questions and follow up when needed to get more answers. They fit you in during emergencies, and have taken incredible care of our cat. I regularly recommend them to everyone I know, and every single friend has come back to personally thank me for the recommendation and to rave about the service and care that they receive from Chatham Animal Hospital. We choose to drive from Raleigh because I am confident that better care is not available closer to us. Even though we came a bit early, they immediately showed us to a room, which was great. Cody and Dr. Craddock did a great job taking care of our cat during the visit. Cost-wise, everything seemed pretty normal - not super cheap, but you obviously have to pay for quality :) We will definitely bring our cat back here for future checkups and potential health issues.
