Excellent, clean dog park! It is in a great location, has a water spigot outside the gate, a self-fill water bowl inside the park, benches to sit on, and ample room for dogs to run around. Occasionally the gate is broken and there are holes dogs dug that turn into mud pits but the park employees are usually quick to fix these issues. There are two sections of the dog park, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. It does cost an annual fee to utilize and requires that your pet has their required vaccinations, which is good. Overall, I enjoy visiting this dog park and as long as everyone monitors and picks up after their dog, it stays clean and safe!

They have tennis and basketball courts, a dog walk, and skate park here - but I can't comment on much of that. This is for the toddler playground area. Sandbox - check. Swings for toddler and big kids - check. Monkey bars - check. 'Twisty slide' - check Water fountains, benches, & bathrooms - check Walking distance to the Starbucks - check (actually, make that a triple latte check!) Accessible from the Blackcreek Cary bike/hiking trail - check For the amount of space it occupies, this park packs quite the punch. If your kid is 10, they might get bored in the playground, but that's what the basketball and bike ramps are for I suppose. We can walk the brood here from the house, and that's just priceless. If you're coming from the greenway and are on the wrong side of Cary Parkway, beware you'll have to cross 4 lanes of traffic. Muy peligroso for the kids and adults.

Incredible park with something for everyone. Love love loved this park. It is in a nice shady area,…read morethere's playhouses, multiple picnic/patio table areas for parties and people to eat meals and/or snacks. It also has a big range of play equipment for different age ranges. Did I mention that I love this park? There are cool statues inspired from fantasy themes like a lion with a squirrel body or a tortoise with a hare's head as well as a giant sea monster on a hill, complete with a nest of eggs. There's also an area with water spray thingies. That's my best attempt at describing them. They had been off for the winter but they're back on since a couple weeks ago! The kids love it especially with the weather heating up!

The park is in heavy usage and it seems like due to this, likely, there are often things broken here. A bench, a fence, etc. There are multiple different play areas and a water play area. It's a delightful park to visit. We have played here for two hours straight. There is a covered picnic area that you can rent and people often do so for kids birthdays. The variety of play experience make this play so popular - sandbox with play excavators, climbing areas, platform rocks, a tree house area, dragon area, water play, slides and Roller slides, instruments, young kids play areas. This park is recommended (by me).

    Urban Park - Nice equipment.

Located…read moreinside a small wooded, residential area close to downtown, it definitely gives off a neighborhood vibe. It's also easy to miss when driving down Chatham Street as the side of the park that faces the street is a mere 100 feet long. Cary's Urban Park has basketball courts, a water fountain, picnic tables, four swings [two standard and two bucket seats], a sandbox, bike racks, benches and two playground structures [one for older and one for younger ages]. The play structures seemed relatively new, being made of plastic and had some climbing walls, multi-slides and elements that are more modern. I learned from a local that was spending the day at the park with his two grandchildren that the park has been there for quite some time and he'd developed many found memories there, they have updated it in the past five or so years. If you plan to take a trip to Cary's Urban Park I recommend you use the facilities prior as there are no bathrooms located at the park. Also, plan around the sun! Although the park is located in a wooded area, the playground structures aren't very shaded [especially the younger child structure] and the plastic can get very hot. Overall, this is a great spot if you need a kid-friendly break from downtown Cary and is within walking distance. It is relatively quiet and doesn't bring in a large crowd and even adults can entertain themselves on the swings!

Just kept driving down Western Blvd and stumbled in this park. Very nice equipment that's relatively new. There were only a few local families here on this gorgeous day which was perfect. Everyone could play on what they wanted too. Lots of shade and seating!!!! Well done neighborhood park.
