We are very fortunate to have a world class physical therapy clinic in Silverdale. I am one of many happy patients of Physiotherapist Robert Punt. He has treated me for several different issues over the last ten-plus years, including hip, foot, and carpel tunnel pain. In every case my complaint has been completely resolved. I always feel better after treatment than when I arrive. I always keep a couple of PPC brochures handy to give to friends who are hurting, because I want him to be there when I need him. Once you have been treated by Robert, you will know what I mean. He is not only highly competent, you can tell he really cares about you. He takes his Hippocratic Oath seriously. This is not your typical physical therapy clinic with the hustle and bustle of several PT assistants overseeing patients doing exercises in a big room full of platforms and ramps and bouncing balls. In contrast, you will notice that the Punt Clinic has a quiet, soothing, healing atmosphere. Voices are muted. Smiles are plentiful. The negative experience described by another reviewer is not consistent in any way with my experiences at PPC. Robert is friendly, kind, and a good listener; he is certainly not arrogant. If you discuss your concerns with Robert, he will listen carefully and you can come to a mutual understanding. As far as I know, his billing practices are typical of other medical offices. My story begins with me waking up with a headache. I saw Chiropractors, Neurologists and pain specialist and after a year of living with this headache, I was referred to Robert by my pastor's wife; who doesn't usually refer people to specialist, but she truly believes in Robert's abilities and referred me. Robert used several methods each time I saw him, including massage, heat manipulation, and electric pulses. I started feeling better after two weeks of consistent treatment. Robert and his staff made me feel well cared for both physically and emotionally, I was always greeted with a smile. He is easy to talk to and listens to every word I say. His staff made billing my insurance so easy. I have referred a friend to him who broke his neck in a surfing accident. After having surgery to repair the break, Robert took over with therapy and my friend is almost pain free and active again after seven months since the accident. I will continue to refer people to Robert because he has done so much to help me get better. I still have my headache but it is ten times better since seeing Robert. I am an RN and I have an impingement in my right shoulder that I have been dealing with for over a year. I finished a course of therapy with one physical therapist and the pain was just getting worse and worse. I was about to go in for surgery when a friend suggested I see Robert Punt. She said he was trained in the Netherlands and used different methods than other therapists and that he worked wonders on her back. She was right. His training was much more extensive than therapists (and many doctors!) receive in the US. He holds to a very high ethical standard. He is willing to explain what he does and why it works. The treatment methods are different than other therapy I've received and its working!! The pain has improved dramatically! I had been taking maximum doses of Aleve and now I have been able to stop taking it altogether. Its not totally healed but I have only been seeing him for a month. First of all I want to let you know that arrogance and confidence are two very different things. I think you are very much confused on which is which! I personally struggled with Physical pain for a very long time and I have seen several doctors about it to no avail. Within two weeks of regular appointments I had relief of my pain and now with regular physical activity I have no issues whatsoever! We here in United States are so accustomed to western medicine and being dependent on drugs (or prescriptions if you will). I welcome to the doctor's European Practice and it helped me very much. I have referred several people and will continue to do so. As for a single approach to care, I had five different methods used on myself and each one of them was helpful in its own way. The staff was always courteous and polite to me and billing was never an issue furthermore this man and his staff were referred by my doctor and I appreciate the referral. read more

Robert Punt has been a blessing! In 1995 I was in a motor vehicle accident that resulted in over six years of chronic pain. I was seen by a number of physicians, unsuccessfully, before I saw Robert Punt. Each physician wanted to give me medications. I wanted to get better, not live on drugs! I was at the end of the line. I could hardly move, even with a lot of medication. After seeing Robert once, not only did I have a substantial decrease in my symptoms, I had HOPE that I would get better. I worked hard to improve, doing all that was asked of me. Now I have regained my life and celebrate each day! Whenever I flare up my system, I go right in to see Robert and he calms the flare up down so I can keep going in my fast-paced life as a doctor. I would recommend him to anyone. This Physiotherapy Center is the best care I have EVER received. I read a review by another person who said things I did not understand. What I will share with you is that this is a family center meaning that t hey take you under their wings sort of speak and you become like their family. ALL of them take the steps necessary to see you receive the best of care from the office staff to the back room with Robert. He is warm and caring. He is a very intelligent therapist and a step ahead of most others anywhere I have ever been. It takes time to heal and you must be patient with progress but if anyone will get you better, it will be Robert Punt. I completely trust him and every person in the office. Punt Physiotherapy has been and continues to be the most sincerely run business of its kind, and it IS ONE of a kind. My husband and I both receive therapy with Dr. Robert Punt. Not only has he helped my husband regain and maintain his mobility in his neck after a severe auto accident, he has been the ONLY one that has been able to help.( We have been to MANY other Doctor/ Clinics) Dr. Punt is PROFESSIONAL, KNOWLEDGEABLE, HONEST and has a wonderful caring manner. I recommend him highly to anyone that is in pain and truly wants help. The office staff is also very professional, efficient, and pleasant. The highest quality of care. Robert Punt and his fantastic staff have provided me with amazing care and results. Robert's thorough knowledge of anatomy and physio-therapy is unsurpassed. His additional European training in this field of study makes him a stand-out in the Puget Sound area. After being examined and incorrectly diagnosed by numerous doctors and so-called specialists, he was the first therapist who was able to figure out what my chronic debilitating issue might be. He referred me to a wonderful specialist who was able to correct my problem. I attended Punt Physiotherapy Center for physical therapy for the first time after breaking my arm in a snowboarding accident in 2009. Robert did an amazing job of helping me gain back my range of motion and flexibility after having a cast on for 2 months. With his help I was able to get back to doing things I love in no time. I have also seen Robert for back/neck pain I have had and he has done a great job treating me for these complaints as well and helping me to get back to pain free. It is disappointing that mine and several other patients' reviews have been mysteriously filtered out, yet the first review remains there for everyone to see. I am sorry that the first reviewer did not have a good experience at PPC, and it is important that people share both good and bad experiences on Yelp. What seems fishy to me is the fact that all of the good comments are basically hidden. I doubt I will rely on Yelp to make a decision going forward because of this. read more

An amazing organization. I have never had so much face time with a healthcare provider. His exceptional training is evident in all that he does. My first experience with the clinic was so successful that I did not hesitate to return when I was in a car accident. The situation was quite different as was the treatment. The results, however, were the same: Quick recovery. I have been to other therapists and though they were professional, the results were minimal. I would recommend this organization to anyone. I went to Robert for years, but the two reviews below really say it all. He does think he knows more than anybody else on the earth (narcissism anyone?) and his staff, as has been said, led by his wife, is cold, rude and just a pain to deal with. If you want to be treated like crap, have money to burn and are looking for someone to constantly be rude to you, go to Punt Physiotherapy. I spent thousands of dollars seeing Mr. Punt, who while marvelous, tolerates his staff's extreme rudeness to patients and believes his patients would put up with whatever rudeness to see him. No one should have to shell out the kind of money necessary to see Mr. Punt and suffer from rude, incompetent and arrogant staff. Would not recommend to anyone. Mr. Punt is a very talented caring provider who looks beyond just the diagnosis and truly helps a person to heal entirely. I have an old shoulder injury that was not treated correctly (in another state) and when I began to see Mr Punt for the pain, swelling and inability to use my hand, he was able to fix it and keep the issues at bay. I've been going to Punt Physiotherapy since 2000 and the treatment is wonderful .Mr Punt is a great therapist with knowledge i wish some of the doctors I've seen should have.
