Dr. ore listens carefully, better than any other doctor I have had. I don't have to sit in the waiting room for a long time, yesterday I was in the exam room two minutes early. My doctor takes whatever time is necessary to give me the attention that I need. One would have to go a long time and distance to find any better medical care if that is possible. Dr. Dore was able to find solutions to some of my long-standing medical problems. I am totally satisfied with the care that I receive and as I age more, I am fully satisfied that I will get the best care and attention as I continue down my path to old age whatever that is.

I was a patient at Olympic Internal Medicine for approximately 12 years. During that time, I was…read moregenerally very happy with the care I received. Unfortunately, my experience over the last few years changed my opinion of the practice. A few years ago, the clinic switched to a membership model that required patients to pay approximately $300 per year just to remain a patient. That decision created a major issue with my Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, which would no longer work with the clinic under that arrangement. As a result, I was forced to change my health insurance just so I could continue seeing my primary care physician after more than a decade as a patient. Even after paying the annual membership fee, I only saw my doctor once or twice a year for routine checkups. Paying hundreds of dollars every year simply for the privilege of remaining a patient never made sense to me. The final straw was how my billing was handled. The clinic stopped collecting my approximately $40 copay at the time of each visit and instead mailed me a bill afterward. I admit that I should have paid those bills when I received them. That's on me. However, according to the letter I received from the clinic, they had become frustrated that they had to call me to collect payment for these balances. From my perspective, it was confusing because these were small balances that could have easily been collected while I was standing at the front desk, as many medical offices routinely do. It seems like collecting the copay during the visit would have been easier and less expensive than mailing statements and making collection calls. I'm not sure why this became such a significant issue when it could have been avoided by simply collecting the payment at check-in or check-out. Instead of working with me to resolve the issue after 12 years as a loyal patient, the clinic chose to terminate our relationship. That was extremely disappointing. I have since learned that the practice was sold. Looking back, the move to a mandatory membership model felt like the practice became more focused on revenue than on maintaining long-term relationships with established patients. Whether or not that was the intention, that's certainly how it felt as someone who had been a loyal patient for over a decade. I hope other patients carefully consider whether paying an annual membership fee is worthwhile, especially if they only need routine preventive care. I also hope Washington continues to monitor concierge-style medical practices to ensure they remain transparent and patient-focused. After 12 years, I expected better communication, more flexibility, and a greater appreciation for patient loyalty.

Dr. Sherris has walked into the room fully prepared for the procedure at hand or for a follow up on a previous one. He is also very engaging and a pleasure to talk to. What I find impressive is that his office is a one-man show but, unlike another podiatrist I had seen who is the sole practitioner in his office, Dr. Sherris was never rushed or had me waiting for 5-10 minutes while he was hurrying between patients in other rooms. Dr. Sherris remains in the room, giving you his full attention. I was actually a bit disappointed to realize at my last visit that there was no need for additional follow up. This practice is definitely worth the drive to Poulsbo.

I came in for bunions I have had since childhood. We agreed that surgery was the answer and I was signed right up. That's when the troubles began. My son flew in to take care of me after surgery. After he arranged his work schedule and I bought a plane ticket for him I got a call from Collin telling me that there had been an issue with reserving the OR and that we needed to reschedule. I told him that was not an option as we had already bought a ticket. He sorted that out. Then days before surgery I received an EOB from Cigna telling me that Dr. Sherris was now out of network. That led to more panic and running around before that got sorted out as well. I had the surgery in April 2025. Went back in for my first post-op and found Dr. Sherris to be very abrupt. He hastily removed my stitches and never once asked me how my pain level was. I was told that it would take 9-12 months for all of the pain and swelling to go away. I went back at 9 months (still swollen and in a lot of pain) and was told I had a stress fracture and was put back into a boot. The swelling went down but as soon as I got out of the boot it came right back. I was told to keep waiting and it would all be fine. After 15 months I was much worse than I was before I had surgery. I then got another opinion from an orthopedic surgeon. I was told that the surgery failed and I have now had to have this surgery a second time. Dr. Sherris put a staple into my big toe and one of the prongs was stuck between the bones, rubbing and causing all kinds of damage. If I had taken no action I would not have been able to walk much longer. I am in my 40's and have a lot of walking to do still in this life. I just wish I would have gotten a second opinion much sooner instead of living in terrible pain for so many months. I have had to take 6 weeks off of work but am recovering nicely. I have far less swelling and bruising than I did last time. I highly recommend that you see an ortho if you need bunion repair. This time around this situation has been just a major inconvenience. The first time it was traumatic. I am optimistic that I will get my life back this time.

I found the facility to be clean and modern, and the staff friendly and helpful. There was almost no wait to be taken back to the prep area. The prep and OR nurses were very kind and unhurried. They took their time to make sure I was comfortable and talked to me about what was going to happen. Once in recovery, they were very accommodating as well. The only reason I didn't go with 5 stars is the location. The surgery center is at the very back of a complex full of other medical/dental offices, and is rather difficult to spot. We drove past the complex entrance twice and saw no sign along the main road. When you do get to the rear of the complex and find them, You have to go all the way around the building to get to the entrance. A saving grace was that parking is free and plentiful. Nobody looks forward to surgery, but if I ever have to have it again, I would easily opt to have it here.

I left with bruises up and down both of my arms from six painful, failed port attempts, as well as a gruesome site on my WRIST where they finally placed the port on a seventh attempt. I also had a staff fall (with their full weight) on my stomach during prep, after another staff's careless decision making. This is to say nothing of the two random staff walking into my space unannounced while I was in a state of undress. Or the bloody mess that occurred when another staff attempted removal of the port from my wrist post-procedure. The entire process, from start to finish, was an unorganized, chaotic mess, and I have still yet to recover from their negligence. I will never return (and have filed a formal complaint with the state). Patients deserve better than this.

I have never been a fan of chiropractic care, never tried it, and thought of it as not "real medicine". I came to visit and hang out with my grandson but my back was so debilitating, my daughter suggested I see her chiropractor. Hesitant, and not expecting any results, I decided to have her schedule me a visit. I thought it wasn't going to fix anything, but I'll sure give it a try so I can play with my grandson. I've recently had some cardiac issues in California, so I'm well versed with Western medicine. How was a chiropractor going to help?! Wow was I impressed! Drew asked specific questions, I actually thought "how did he know that"?! I was scared to death about my back being "popped". That's all I knew about chiropractors. He was gentle, calming, informative and explained the entire process as we're moving through the appointment. When finished, I actually felt immediate results. Questioning how. I've been to the doctor for this exact issue multiple times, all with X-rays and sent home with a muscle relaxer. Drew sent me home with NO medication, and relief! Experiencing results as I walked out of the office, opened my eyes! Thank you so much Drew and to the sweet lady's running the front desk!
