I was a chiropractor skeptic. Yes, everyone raves about their chiropractor, but it always seemed to be in the context of "Oh, man, I need to get back to the chiro, I just feel terrible if I'm not there every 2 weeks". My perception was that chiropractors were a sort of temporary fix rather than a solution. Dr. Word has changed that! After several months of working from home, I was so stiff I couldn't stretch one muscle group without pulling another. I finally decided to try this whole chiropractor thing and all I can say is, "wow, I was wrong". Dr. Word obviously sees his role as understanding the root of aches and pains and giving people the tools to really feel better; he is clearly sincerely invested in the well being of his clients. I felt like a new person after that first visit, but even more importantly, I've been able to take action at home under Dr. Word's guidance to actually solve issues, not just temporarily relieve them. I'll definitely continue to see Dr. Word for regular maintenance now that I see the value, but I feel empowered to set that schedule based on how I'm feeling and find that I'm able to go more time (rather than less) between visits as I make progress. Note to others, do not rely on the online booking system. I booked my appointment online a week in advance after looking at reviews and hearing great things about this place. Left work in the middle of the day, arrived on time, only to find out my appointment was never confirmed. They had my information in the system and even said this wasn't the first time something like this has happened. Very disappointed as I'm in serious pain and now need to go thru the process of finding another chiropractor and likely waiting another week. I would just add that I've been seeing Dr. W since about 25 weeks into my third pregnancy and it has helped with my lower back and pelvic pain (SI joint, sacrum, ect.) immensely compared to past pregnancies where I would only find a chiropractor later in the third trimester. Great experience! I'm an ex-athlete and competitive powerlifter, so I've dealt with injuries for a long time. These nagging injuries lead to major imbalances in my body and as a consequence, I deal with a lot of neck, shoulder, and hip pain. When I get a suit tailored, I even have to get padding on one shoulder because it sits higher than the other. Anyway, after the first visit with Dr. Word, he was able to isolate the problem and even create some immediate relief. However, the most valuable takeaways for me were the rehabilitation techniques he gave me. After a few weeks of work with some specific movements and a lacrosse ball, I'm back to normal. Super impressed with Dr. Word and the clinic. As a Healthcare Professional I was on the search for a new chiropractic Dr. My online research led me to CWC/ Dr. Word. During the Covid Crisis I wanted to feel safe while insuring I was getting full treatment. I was able to book everything online. Being the only patient in the clinic is comforting. Along with a temperature check, and heart rate. I can tell the clinic is sterile and thoroughly cleaned each visit. My assessment was detailed, and treatment was exactly what I needed. Dr. Word took the time to show me exercises and sent me home with new skills to keep healing my body in between appointments. Most importantly my adjustments were not just quick 3 point snaps, he is thorough and was able to adjust my body in way's my previous Dr wasn't. After the 2nd adjustments my upper back, neck and shoulder feels much better, the sharp px and tingly down my arm went away for the most part, I need a few more sessions The first initial appt of getting adjusted and I can't believe how amazing I feel. I wanted to share my positive experience with you about my treatment provided by Dr. Word. 8/7/18 at 11:30am I was to undergo the third surgery to my spine. 10 days prior to the cervical fusion, I sneezed. Twice. I thought the sneeze had passed and turned my head in the opposite direction - and another sneeze. The jolt felt like a chiropractic adjustment and as the days crept closer to surgery, the pain was pretty much gone. As I was being prepped for surgery, IV in my arm, I asked if it was normal to perform a fusion when there was no pain? Needless to say, no surgery that day, and with a referral in hand, I met Dr. Word. He first took the time to review MRIs and XRAYs to insure a successful outcome. I did a general search for work related injury chiropractic specialists after my chiropractor was not helping or explaining my pain and injury thoroughly. Dr word got back to me very quickly and it was so easy to make an appointment with him. After being in constant pain for a year and dealing with some numbness in my arm I was a little skeptical and nervous going in for my first fists. Dr. Word is a phenomenal chiropractor. I am actually a bit skeptical of chiropractic medicine but I cannot say enough about how much his treatments helped me. I started seeing Dr. Word when I was pregnant, suffering from intense hip pain and after the first visit there was a marked difference, instantly the pain was manageable and I could walk with a normal cadence. Thankfully I received a referral from a trusted advisor or I never would have had the courage to try something new. Dr. Word is also a consummate professional. I'm not a frequent reviewer on this or any other site, but I wanted to make sure I wrote one for Dr. Word. I have been seeing Dr. Word for several months for my Tinnitus condition. Prior to finding him, I had visited several hearing specialists that told me that the condition was related to hearing loss and that there wasn't anything I could do about it. I could never sign on to this theory because, for me, the tinnitus is not consistent - on some days it was acute and on others it was non-existent. After much research, I came across a white paper which explained that most cases of tinnitus are "somatic," or related to the body, and could be relieved with the right chiropractic care. Dr. Word understood this right away and has helped me bring the occurrences down from 3-4 days per week to 3 or 4 days per month. Dr. Word is a great listener who's care extends beyond the visit with recommendations for stretching and behavior modifications, to visits with other qualified professionals that will enhance his treatments.
