Her office kindly allowed me to bring my two children with me, & she graciously allowed (& even encouraged) me to nurse & soothe my baby as needed. At times she even held & rocked him herself so that I could make the most of our sessions, & thoughtfully integrated him into our practice so that I could learn methods of strengthening that were practical to my everyday life. Karen encouraged me to work on building strength each day, but she was also understanding & supportive of my efforts on weeks when I struggled. I can not recommend Karen Leitz & Whidbey Performance Physical Therapy highly enough for their kindness & understanding as I did my best to manage my infant & toddler at their office each week. It was an overwhelmingly positive experience & I gained a lot of physical strength as well as a positive outlook on my continued recovery.

My reasoning for coming in was…read morechronic discomfort in my right pectoral muscle and my entire right shoulder joint from a previous injury. Not only did Rich loosen and make it feel better, I haven't really had that discomfort since. And my knees! They have not been cracking since session 4. I will definitely come back for fine tuning. * update.... I have been immobile for 6 weeks with a broken wrist and had to cancel all sessions. I got my cast off yesterday (1/20) and saw Rich today (1/21) and it is probably the best thing I did for myself. With an injured shoulder and broken wrist and immobile for 6 weeks is painful. I came in today somewhat out of whack. Huge thank you for making me feel human. I can move my shoulder and my wrist is so much better. Still a road to recovery but I'm sure I'm ahead if true game! Thank you, you are amazing!! Update:2/22/16 I literally just completed my ten series this morning. My experience has been an adventure , educating, new, fun and so many other positive things. My original reason for coming in was to try something new, and I had an issue with my right pectorals. I went thru a few sessions then had to put on hold because of injury. Here I am a month after I got my cast off, and I am healed. I am aligned. I am in a new body. The feeling is indescribable , something one has to experience to get it. After finishing my 10-series with Rich I cannot believe the changes in my body. I told Rich before…read morewe started I felt like I was trapped in body armor. As a former dancer and athlete it was miserable losing so much flexibility and feeling so stiff and unbalanced. Rich has given me back my body. I am able to take dance, Pilates and yoga class and I feel 15 years younger. This work continues to expand and release in the body after you finish the 10-series--unlike traditional massage. Rich is an expert Rolfer and body worker--continually educating himself about his vocation and bringing that knowledge to his clients. I will continue to visit Rich periodically now that my 10-series is finished. I can't imagine not taking advantage of this great practitioner and practice!
