Stayed 4 nights at Sheraton and Olio just so happened to be the restaurant/bar in the lobby. We had…read morebreakfast here everyday and it was lovely! They had an awesome breakfast omelette station with a very nice chef. The options for breakfast were plentiful and some items changed every day. On our last night, we decided to try their dinner menu. I had the Seafood Fettuccine & my mom had the grilled mahi mahi. Wasn't much of a fan of the grilled mahi mahi but it was a very healthy and well-balanced dish. The seafood fettuccine I had was so good though. So creamy with hints of tomato and perfectly fused seafood flavor from the generous amounts of seafood they put in the pasta. Mussels, salmon, and shrimp is what I recall was in there. The food isn't cheap but it's what you'd expect from a hotel restaurant. The place is really spacious; tons of seating. The workers are nothing but friendly as well.

We were waiting for a layover flight, so we decided to give this place a try. Despite the many…read morenegative reviews, my table actual had a good meal. Everything came out relatively quick, the tables we're clean, and the server was kind. I ordered the Gnocchi with beef, and it was surprisingly satisfying! It was flavorful, and there was plenty for myself. It's a Saturday afternoon, and the restaurant is not busy. Good place to come and relax with a meal in between flights.

THE FOOD ----------------…read more+ Fish and Chips - Huge piece of fried cod. A lot of batter on the fish, however it was all still very good. Fries were the soft kind and slaw was solid. + Maple Mustard Roasted Salmon - Salmon was cooked well and tasty. Sweet Potato Mashed Potatoes were excellent too. + Gnocchi with Beef Short Rib Ragu - Portion was large and the ragu had a little kick to it. Lots of short rib in the order, but it was all different sizes with some large chunks here and there. + Strawberry Cheesecake - Verrrrry good and delicious. Texture was smooth and perfect. Plenty of strawberry and sauce for the cake serving. THE SERVICE ------------------- + We did take out, but the food came out relatively fast considering how busy they were. + We used airline vouchers to pay and the employees were very helpful in assisting us and explaining to us how to use our vouchers. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + Restaurant was spacious with some counter seats. + Located in Terminal 1 near gate F60. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------- + Was pretttty busy on an April Friday evening, probably because it's one of the few or only true sitdown full service restaurants in the vicinity of Terminal 1.

So, this place calls itself a Camden, but they don't actually seem to have Camden food. I've tried…read moreto get hot food here a few times now and whenever I do, what they actually have is totally different from what's displayed on the menu. The pre-packaged stuff is the same brand sold everywhere else in the airport. Anyway, I've tried to order hot sandwiches from the breakfast and lunch menu at least twice, maybe three times, but I just get told that they don't have it. Before, I've just gone elsewhere, but this time, when I asked about the Mediterranean sandwich, they suggested a vegetarian panini instead and I decided to go for it since that was still the sort of thing I wanted. I think it was the same as the veggie sandwich that Boccone sells, but it was a good sandwich with fresh vegetables, good bread (kind of like a fluffier/thicker flatbread), and of a substantial size. $15 for a veggie sandwich is too much but I'd still recommend this (or the one from Boccone) on the basis of quality as you're not going to find a better deal in the airport unless you go for fast food. The staff is usually nice and the line moves reasonably fast.

You can also buy sandwiches here and coffee. Good!? Very average! Prices are definitely high. $$ No airport staff discount, big fail!

BOTTOM LINE: I personally prefer this over the usual ML lounge at Pearson, and it's arguably the…read more"best" lounge at Pearson (not including the ML Signature one). I'm a sucker for design and for an airport lounge, this place has it in spades with it's dark interior, dim lighting, and wood accents. But first of all, let's talk about what it isn't: it's not a huge space but given more stringent entry requirements and the fact that it's relatively hidden, it's much less likely to be full compared to other Pearson lounges. And the reality is that with post-COVID revenge travel in full swing, there's a very high chance that you'll be waitlisted and/or find yourself in a very cramped/noisy lounge. Now what it is, is a relaxed atmosphere with a very wild selection of mostly refrigerated offerings that you can take to go. They do have a super limited area with warm foods, but don't expect the usual offerings you see at other lounges. Most of the selection is really healthy too - from granola bars, to yogurt, fruit cups, hummus + veggies, etc. - and all in fancy packaging. They even have a freshly-squeezed orange juice bar and a fresh ground coffee bar, in addition to your usual bar of alcoholic offerings. If you have access to the AC Cafe, you almost certainly have access to the usual lounges, so I'd recommend going to both, and stopping by the cafe to get something to go!

The Air Canada Café at Toronto Terminal 1 Pearson is a domestic-only lounge located just past the…read moremain entrance of the departure wing. Thought we'd drop by to see how it compares to the main lounge upstairs. It is small, you have to line up for coffee, which was a bit annoying. Yes, there is a proper bar where a bartender will pour you a drink but again you line up and if it's busy you'll be waiting. There is a large refrigerator case of plastic take away and brown box grab and go small bites and wraps, etc but it feels somewhat like a 7-Eleven. It does not look super appetizing but I do concede that there are more take away options than upstairs which have no take out containers. I guess this is designed for non business class flyers who don't get or want the onboard food selection? It is new and the contemporary decor is a welcome change from the somewhat tired appearance of the main lounge, but it is a small cafe with a limited number of tables and seating (some at the bar). It's worth a visit but if it's a high traffic period unlikely you'll find a seat.
