This was our families first visit to this Pumpkin Station Location and it exceeded our expectations!!!! Details: Family of 4, two toddler boys ages 3&5 Went on a weekend There's plenty of parking but don't take a freshly washed car, it will get dirty! You enter a giant tent with different sized pumpkins laying on the ground. To the right of the tent outside in the back there are a few more. It's not the most authentic pumpkin patch feel in regards to picking a pumpkin but the rest made up for it. Front and center is a ginormous fake pumpkin designed by an artist, it is for sale for $2000. Would be the ultimate decoration if it weren't so big, it doesn't break down and I don't know if it could handle rain. The cool thing is the artist is on site to design your freshly bought pumpkin!!! The artist, was phenomenal and could shave your pumpkin in 15 min into any design you showed him! It was difficult to communicate with him, but show him your picture and you can expect magic. I will admit we bought a $75 ginormous pumpkin and had our last time shaved I to it bc I had no artistic brain and the kids couldn't agreee on a superhero. It's now covered in mold unfortunately but it was amazing while it lasted! The artist charges $20 no matter the size and there's a tip box he absolutely deserves!! Head out back for all the carnival rides! I guarantee all us parents once rode these at a state fair at some point!!! There was a flying swing ride with the type of swing seats for babies at the park so my 3 year old was ecstatic, there were different bounce houses, a tiny train (if you go online, there's a coupon for a free train ride), a food tent that had hot dogs, burgers, fries and a few more options. Food wasn't super over priced which was great but food was eh. Each ride is 1 ticket. I believe we bought 12 tickets (6 for each kid) and it was $45ish. We spent probably 2 hours here. There's a bunch of hay with the giant pumpkins for sale that I saw many people taking pictures at. There were a few other ok spots for a picture of your kids. Overall, I'd recommend coming here, it's right off the 5, easy to get to, plenty of fun for littles. And it wasn't uncomfortably busy for a weekend. read more

This place is L-A-M-E. Don't waste your breath coming here. Go to a farm and skip the "stations" if you want a huge selection and more photo opportunities. Just know that the pumpkins come from the farm so there's a scarce selection here. The only pros is that there are quite a bit of rides for small children. It cost $4 per ride or purchase their value pack and it'll come out to $3.33 per ride. You can also print out a free train coupon. Tickets don't expire and you can use it at other locations. You can spot the white tent from a far. It's in the same dirt over flow lot during San Diego Fair season which is located across the street. The pumpkins are in the white tent. Small ones in the center, a few rows of medium and large to your right. Then outside on the hay stacks are a few more irregular large size. Not much to see or any background that's photo worthy. There are two large tents with lunch tables outside to your right. To your left is the play area for kids, two private party tent area, one food truck. Center comprise of portable bathrooms. The pumpkins have sticker prices on them. You can buy craving kits at the counter and popcorn. There are two wheel barrels to borrow for those heavy ones. read more

The pumpkin patch and its attractions ran from 9/30 to 10/31. I liked that it was easy to find, free parking and admission, and offers rides for the kiddos which Bate's Nut Farm does not offer. You do have to buy ride tickets but if you don't use them all, you can use them at any pumpkin station location, even next year. The food offerings here were definitely limited. Hamburgers, hot dogs, fries and nachos. Not a lot of shaded seating to eat and rest, as the party tents with lots of tables and chairs are reserved for private parties and you will be asked to leave even though the party hasn't started yet. A few places to take pics but not as many photo ops as Bate's Nut Farm. Would still return though as I think the toddler in our family will grow to like riding rides by herself more as she gets bigger - most of these rides can't accommodate full-grown adults. read more

What a blast!! The Pumpkin Station at Del Mar provided hours of frivolity. Firstly, no parking fee. Secondly, no entrance fee. All rides/attractions are $5 per (1 ticket) but I highly recommend purchasing a pack. We went with the 12 ticket pack for $42. My daughter was in stitches going from slides, to bounce houses, to rides, to the petting zoo (goats only) and then back to the slides. We brought our own water and snacks which was the best decision because the available food did not look too good. On our way out we purchased 3 pumpkins to decorate our home. With several locations we will definitely venture to another Pumpkin Station to experience other offerings (corn mazes, pony rides, tractor rides). It was a lot of fun. My toddler loved this place. In my opinion it is better than the other ones in the area.

We have been coming here for several years now but it seems to be going to too much in price lately. We love if here but unhappy with the increase in prices. Tickets are now $5 each. This year the adults can't ride the train with the little kids which was odd. Lots of kids screaming on the train because their parents weren't with them. I liked the 2022 train better when parents could ride along and help the kids on and off easier. read more

Not good for photo ops... small selection of pumpkins and backdrops are mostly a tent or with port a potty's in the background. Was disappointed in the lack of good photo places. This is the perfect place to take your family and loved ones. When it's October, you want to do festive things, like go to a pumpkin patch! There's definitely a little bit of something for everyone here! They have their own private parking lot, but only complaint is that they should totally pave the roads and clear them from hundreds of rocks, that can potentially damage our cars! Other than that, I have no complaints. Free Admission! Hundreds of different sized and colored pumpkins, some that looks normal, and some that looks out of this world, many oddities, many unique ones. All pumpkins are priced based on their sizes, and I would say that they are reasonably priced. Lots of pumpkins to choose from and I think the highlight for us was the petting zoo. Some of those goats were ruthless. Decent spot for a Friday night pumpkin patch for my 4 year old. It has all the things he likes, two slides, a train ride, petting zoo, merry go round and two bounce houses. I paid $48 for 12 tickets, which I guess for todays prices isn't terrible. I'm glad we came in the evening, it wasn't packed and it wasn't too hot. My kid also seemed to enjoy himself. My son attended his friend's birthday party at the Pumpkin Station this year and simply had a blast! What a location to host a party for all those lil pumpkins celebrating their birthdays in October. We were asked to meet the host at one of the tents ( number was listed in the invite) and was sort of "free play mode" until everyone was asked to meet back up at the tent at an allotted time for cake! All the kids were given wristbands for unlimited access to rides. Needless to say they scattered off in different directions full of energy! There were lots of rides for toddlers and the wait times were not bad at all. My son especially enjoyed the petting zoo area which was nice and spread out as opposed to other pumpkin patches which have a few goats in small cage like enclosures. $30 for 12 tickets. Great for when you have a few kids with you. But I only had my one with me, and each ride requiring only one ticket, we had half those ticlets left. Luckily I was able to sell them to a family who was walking in as we were walking out. My 6 yr old has pretty much out grown most of the rides there (kiddie train, plane, tea cups, tiny merry go round). He stuck with the jumpy slides, which the adults were able to enjoy too. The petting zoo was cool. Kids were able to climb into a farm tub filled with bunnies, chase chickens, and feed goats. We spent $6 for a great looking medium size pumpkin and a mini one. I have no complaints. I don't buy pumpkins often enough to feel the need to comparison shop. To make the trip extra special, I recommend bringing a travelers mug filled with spiked coffee. Bought a half price online deal- 12 tickets for 15 dollars. They have a petting zoo, rides, a small pumpkin patch, and great photo opportunities. My 2.5 year old had a great time- rides small enough for him to go on alone, but not scary at all. The petting farm has goats you can feed and some rabbits to pet. The workers in the petting zoo were very pleasant and helpful. Such a fun place to go. We came this year in the evening and couldn't believe how crowded it was. It was like these families made it their night on the town! It was fantastic. I have to say we used to come all the time, mostly in the day with my Mommie groups but now that my son is 10, there's not much for him to do. He enjoyed the slide and the bounce house. We actually met family there because i habe a young niece that got to enjoy the train and the merry go round as well as the petting zoo. The goats were adorable. This place has become Our Annual pumpkin patch. The rides are great for toddler thru 5-6 age group. The lines are Non- existent and the staff is friendly. You do need to bring socks for all the inflatable slides and bounce houses or they sell them there for $1. The pumpkins were all spread out so it was fun for the kids to search for the perfect pumpkin. We had a hot dog and lemonade when we were here and both were good. Similar to fair food or why you would normally expect at events like this. The petting zoo was a favorite and the train ride. Geared towards the little ones, the Pumpkin Patch is a family friendly place that has a little bit of everything for everyone! The place was relatively easy to find and parking was free and plentiful. There was even a person at front to guide us to where to park! The pumpkin patch is quite small, you can walk around the whole perimeter in a little less than 10 minutes, but packed with some prize games and small rides for the young 'uns. There's also a petting zoo with goats and this reallyyyyyy fat sheep haha To be honest, this is the perfect place to hang with your family if you have young kids. Around $4 a ride, the packs of tickets for them seemed more expensive than the Del Mar fair. And it's not like these are good rides, it's expensive to go on an inflatable blow up slide or a carousel or small train. I think some of the other pumpkin patches out there are definitely better and not as pricey. We've been coming here every October for the past 5 years. Can't beat the free parking and free admission! Rides get you though $3.50 per child per ride so without any discount coupons this can get pricey quick! Luckily Groupon usually has a deal 12 ride tickets for $17! Come the first week of October it's the best time. No crowds and the ride attendants will let you stay on the ride as long as your child wishes and go down the slides as many times as they like. They regulate this when it's busy. Socks required for the big slide! I always keep some handy in my car...just a mom tip :) I would say this place is best for kids 10 and under. It's perfect for toddlers since it's small and almost all the rides are suited for little children. Not fast and scary at all. Portapotty bathrooms only so go before you leave the house! I've been coming here for 3 consecutive years. The fact that there is no admission fee, no parking fee and everything there is one ticket per ride is very cool. Kaylin's second trip to the pumpkin patch. This year we went to the Del Mar Pumpkin patch. :) The people there were so nice, and let the kids ride multiple times and let my friend and I go with our two kids for only one ride ticket. As well as making it super easy for the games allowing the little ones to win big prizes, paid a dollar and got a super big guitar. So much fun! While the pumpkins are a little overpriced.. we got a decent one year old size one for 2.50. I would recommend this place for younger kids, the rides are old but also made for younger ones. Parents can go on the rides with their kids! My daughter loved it, and the petting zoo. The petting zoo lady gave us free hay to feed the animals, and we didn't use it all so we paid it forward to another family. The only downfall was.. they were spreading hay while the kids were walking around and it got in everyones eyes.. as well as the pumpkins being super pricy.. but a super fun day with fun rides, and super nice people! read more

Let my fist sentence read..... NO DOGS ALLOWED! First off, I have been to many pumpkin patches and they all let dogs there. I understand that a dog may poop there but that's why the owner brings a doggy bag to pick it up. I know some people aren't mature enough for it but that why there are staff there to inform the person to police after their dog. I have never seen a problem with it before so I don't see the problem there. Secondly, my girl friend and I took her daughter there because they have about 11 rides/bounce houses for the kids to ride or bounce in. Her daughter is 3 and isn't a big child. In the bounce house that has an obstacle course, there was about 50 kids in this tiny bounce house and there were kids that were over the hight requirements and had stomped on some of the smaller children including my friends daughter. The food area only takes cash. I'm not sure if it was just that day but there were many signs that said "cash only" at the registers. Many people like me don't carry cash, just a card so it was a small inconvenience. The patch was pretty nice and clean. They had pumpkins all about the patch and what made it nice was that they had price stickers on them so you weren't guessing how much a pumpkin cost. If you have kids then it's a nice place to go. I chose this location because of the amount of rides and activities and I was not disappointed. 7 rides, 2 large inflatable slides, games, petting zoo and 2 bouncy houses all just perfect for my 5 year old. The location also included a food tent, face painting, 2 small event tents (great for birthday parties), 1 large event tent. Fun little Pumpkin Patch with a few mini carnival type rides for the kids $32 for 12 tickets that are usually $3.50 each...the rides are only 1 ticket each so it was just like a prior reviewer said...a few to many tickets but I was able to sell them to another guest that was happy to get a great deal.
