Came here on a Sat with 3 kids and 1 Adult that rode horses for about 20min each and we were charged 300$ plus for less that 3 hours at the ranch. Apparently using a very dirty picnic table was an extra charge. The portal potties were completely unusable not cleaned in years. For this kind of money I would expect at least a clean table and toilet. But even then ridiculously overpriced! Interaction with the animals was nice but not worth the price. read more

Perfect! Can't recommend enough!!! This place is beyond perfect. My daughter wanted a medieval princess themed party with unicorns and this was the place! The kids (and even parents) loved running around with all the animals. A lot of room for parking, tables for everything. It was great. Everyone was impressed with how relaxed it felt. Privately owned personal ranch so we had the place to ourself and it was just more personable, quick, and enjoyable. Love the drive to Ramona and this ranch. Lots of animals roam free and the children and adults fed them carrots which we had brought. The pony's were gentle and sweet! The owner was so great with the little ones! Besides the momentary rain, the day was fun and very relaxing for both the birthday girl and family and friends. Dishonest & Unreliable - Look Elsewhere! Brief review: Dana, of Cheyenne Arabians, cancelled our scheduled birthday party, ignored all calls/emails and has not returned our $200 deposit. Full Review: We scheduled a birthday party with Dana, of Cheyenne Arabians, a month in advance and unfortunately our original date rained out so we rescheduled another month in advance. We were notified a week and a half prior that that they wanted us to reschedule for the following weekend. Being now a month after the Birthday, into busy Spring with many of our guests traveling to be there, that wasn't possible. We also wondered if we can't rely on the date we scheduled then what assurances do we have that the next weekend would actually hold? In other words, no thanks. I called Dana back within 10 minutes or her original call to cancel and reschedule us and left a voicemail letting her know that next weekend wouldn't work and requested she refund our deposit. We received no response. Over the course of the next week and a half (and minutes before posting this review to give one last opportunity to make things right) I left voicemails and emails asking for status of the deposit and thus far been have been ignored. It's now past our scheduled party date. Let's recap. Dana/Cheyenne Arabians cancelled our agreed upon date and refused to give our deposit back. It did not rain on our rescheduled date, but due to Dana's schedule we were booted to the next weekend that worked for her.. Let me just say that there were so many red flags I ignored and I blame myself for trusting.. First, the multiple negative reviews across social media and Google that lend to similar experiences should have kept me away, but "they're local", I said, and "it's so close and convenient to home, it will be fine.." Second, the prices and services are not accurate on the website--cheyennearabians.com. The website [still] states states that a "non-themed" birthday party is $295 (Wow that's reasonable), but I was quoted $600 verbally, plus additional $120 to add the pictured Jumbo Jump, which we also opted for despite the False Advertising. No there, are no "themed" parties any longer. Dana advised that the deposit was non-refundable, but we could reschedule if it rained. Got it. What I don't get is how one can fail to deliver the service agreed upon and ethically keep the deposit? Dana cited a "family emergency" as the cause of cancellation 1.5 weeks prior. I wish I had that much notice of my own "family emergencies". Emergencies happen and gee I hope everything is okay, but why does that affect your paying customer? If you can't deliver, then refund, it's as Simple as that. We would have understood and been on our way bummed but not bitter. Nice business Cheyenne Arabians--Very nice! Couple other notes. 1) They ask you to schlep out all of your own trash. That's fine, but that demand was an add on to our email communications after my deposit was cashed and I felt it should have been noted upfront. Also, felt a bit of an ask at their prices. Especially when they're keeping deposits for putting out very little prep for these parties. They provide a space for you to bring in and take out all of your own supplies. That's right, nothing on the website is accurate. Buyer beware. 2) They took over a week to cash the check. That's fine, but nearly impossible to get this group on the phone to confirm anything. We had to follow up over and over again across email and phone to get any sort of confirmation that we were "confirmed", which is an inconvenience when you're trying to get out RSVPs to your guests and aren't wholly sure if the party is "on" or not. Their communication is very poor. Please see the other reviews, if you need further validation. I recommend you avoid this group and look elsewhere! And if you're looking I will give you a tip--Oma's Family Farm in Lakeside-A Real Business. We went down on April 6 (our cancelled party day) for their "Recess" days and spent about $50 for two adults and two kids. It was a wonderful day of fun activities with animals on a giant, well organized farm tailored for kids. There are concessions and an inconceivable amount of interactive play for the kiddos. Highly recommend you check them out! Despite Dana and Cheyenne Arabians ruining our planned birthday party and stealing our deposit, some positive came of the experience! You have been warned! Our girls say this was an awesome experience. At first one of my girls was afraid but she was made to feel very at ease by the gentle pony (Little Marshmallow) and kind owner, and she ended up doing 18 laps! My other daughters hopped right onto the larger ponies and had a great time, too. They also enjoyed feeding the ponies and other animals on the property. They had a great time! read more

We came here to celebrate our daughter's Birthday and it was a wonderful experience. My daughter rode her own 'unicorn' and I rode on a beautiful horse and our kids got a chance to pet feed goats, pigs, donkeys. Beautiful ranch, Cheyenne takes great care of all the animals. We booked a appointment for 3:30pm and made a 40 min drive on a Sunday to take my daughter for a pony ride. When we arrived (10 min early) the gate was closed and there was nobody around. After a few min someone drove past us to the house on the property and yelled to us not to park in front of the closed gate. They then went inside and did not greet us or give us any other guidance. We sat in the truck for another 10 min and then left after nobody came back. This is definitely not the way to run a business and the quickest way to ruin my young daughters Sunday by not getting to ride a pony. read more

What a great place to take your kids for a pony or horse ride! The staff are all so nice and helpful. Horses and ponies are clean and well maintained. My daughter had her first pony ride in Russia a year ago and I thought it would be fun to keep the memory alive so I searched the Internet for rides in San Diego. We had a blast at our pony party! We celebrated our daughters 6th birthday with some of her friends and their families. Several of the adults and all the kids got to ride and they had "Unicorns" for my daughter. She was so excited they were not regular horses. We did the petting zoo and it was so much fun. We got to feed all of the animals and interact with them across the whole ranch instead of just a pen with some animals like you typically see. Everybody loved it and a lot of fun was had. The facility was clean and there was a nice picnic area and a good sturdy tree for pinatas. The price was very affordable compared to other ranches. My family came out to the ranch for my kids' first pony rides and I was so impressed with these girls! I was looking for something different than the usual 'carousel' pony rides and got so much more than I was hoping for. The ladies at Cheyenne Arabians took special care to make my kids' first experience a very memorable one. They had no fear getting on their big ponies & talked the whole ride away with their walkers. My daughter fell in love with Dancer and is begging to have her 5th birthday party there so she can ride Dancer again. Afterwards we were welcomed to enjoy the ranch and meet all their friendly animals. My kids have never seen such a variety of farm animals so they had fun learning about the cow and the miniature donkeys! It's apparent these animals are a part of their family and are well cared for & love getting attention. I simply love this Ranch. The facility is so clean and it's absolutely gorgeous. Staff is very friendly and they take excellent care of my boy. The horses are very happy and calm and the ranch is large with plenty of room to work. 1 large round pen one small round pen a large riding arena a jumping Arena and another large but smaller than the biggest Arena to work in. There's also a half-mile track that goes around the entire property and it's fun to just ride around the track. It's a tranquil and peaceful place in the way they have it set up the horses are just so happy and calm. There is also plenty of room in the cross-ties to do work on your horse and they have a nice area for vet visits and farrier work . There are lots of shade trees and you can tell a lot of love has been put into this property. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who is active with their horse. They even host shows and some events which is really cool. I really love Pam she's the one who owns the ranch. If you are looking to take riding lessons there are also trainers that can help you with that. Whenever I go there there's usually somebody around so I feel more comfortable just in case. Everyone I meet there is incredibly nice it seems to be a drama-free Zone which is awesome for those that have experienced some of that at other Ranches. I was so disappointed in this company. I took my 2 young daughters to Pine acres to cut a Christmas tree on 12/5/15. Cheyenne Arabians had a petting zoo and horseback rides. Their costs were not posted on all sides. When we walked up and told the lady we wanted to ride the horse, she seemed kind of put out because it was the end of the day. Then my kids walked in to pet the animals, there were no cost signs on the pen door. We didn't realize the petting zoo had a cost because we entered from the backside. When she came up and told us that we had to pay first, we walked out immediately. My kids only had enough money to ride the horses. The lady took the money from my daughter and said that was for the petting zoo and was very rude about not letting them ride without paying more. I felt she was not very friendly and had no Christmas spirit. It made my kids very sad. I would not waste your money on this company. read more
