Wonderful spot for kids under 9. Right near the awesome food options! A little close to the Lego store ;)

My daughter can easily play for the full three hours and still not be ready to leave. It's definitely geared toward high energy kids who need space to move. She leaves tired and happy every time. The place is kept clean and I always see staff walking around with a tiny handheld vacuum cleaning throughout the day. It's kind of funny but also reassuring because you can tell they're staying on top of it. We've had good experiences with the employees too. Everyone has been friendly and helpful. I really appreciate that they allow you to bring in your own snacks, drinks, and food. That honestly saves us money and makes it easy to hang out for the full three hours without constantly buying concessions. Their concession stand is mostly chips, cookies, candy, and bottled drinks. There isn't really hot or substantial food available, which isn't a big deal, but it's something to keep in mind so you can come prepared. There are couches inside the play area for parents, but I usually sit at the tables in the lobby. Now that my daughter runs around independently, I can actually sit and relax while she plays. It's nice not feeling like I have to hover the entire time. We purchased the Elite Membership for $50 a month. It includes three hours per day every day plus 10 percent off merchandise, concessions, and birthday parties. For us it's worth it because she genuinely uses it multiple times a week. If you go often, it makes sense financially. Parking is also super easy. There's ample parking and we've never had to circle or deal with any hassle, which is always a plus when you're unloading kids. The sock policy wasn't a big deal for us. We don't go on the trampolines, just our daughter does. When we showed them we already had grip socks from another place, they only charged us $3 for theirs as a one time purchase. We just wash them and keep them in the car so we're always ready. If adults aren't playing, you can walk around in your normal shoes or socks. My only complaint is the music on Friday evenings. They usually have an emo playlist playing. It's not about the volume, just the type of songs. I'd personally prefer more current top hits or upbeat family friendly music during play time. Not a huge issue, just something I've noticed. Overall, it's a great place for kids to burn energy and for parents to actually sit down for a bit. We'll definitely keep going.

The location is stunning, right along the water with incredible ocean scenery, dramatic cliffs, and plenty of spots to sit and take it all in. On a clear day, the views are unreal and it really does feel like a postcard version of Southern California. That said, it is extremely crowded. Between tourists, families, photographers, and people stopping to watch the seals and sea lions, it can feel packed, especially mid day and on weekends. Parking can be challenging and the constant foot traffic takes away a bit from the peaceful, relaxing vibe you might be hoping for. If you don't mind crowds or are visiting for the first time, it's still 100 percent worth seeing. Just be prepared for lots of people and limited personal space. Go early in the morning or closer to sunset if you want a slightly calmer experience. Beautiful park, incredible views, but the crowds knock it down to four stars.

I wasn't aware that this place was here, but I had just finished an appointment in the area and figured I'd check it out. Glad it did. I found a table to do some writing and update my planner. There is also a playground for the kiddos. I came during a busier time in the late afternoon so parking was busy, but there was always someone leaving so snagging a spot wasn't too much of a hassle. I love how welcoming the staff is with parents and kids, the facility is always in pristine condition... I know I know, if you go soo much, doesn't it get old after a while??? IT DOES NOT... every time we go, the room is set up differently, which makes it like going for the very first time! ... We usually do the gymster class and I like that the class has structure to it, i.e. a welcome/warm up circle time to get to know other attendees, and of course the hihi mygym song, throughout the class, there are group activities as well as individual activities to work on gross motor skills, there is also independent play. overall, love love coming to mygym! some logistics, if it is your fist time, they do required kiddos to wear their mygym socks ( sold on site), adults also have to wear socks. thank you thank you mygym for all that you do for our girls and the rest of kids! for more info: https://www.mygym.com/lajolla

From gymsters, to terrific tots, to preschool gymnastics and ninja jr classes, this gym's curriculum and loving and supportive environment has played a huge impact in my daughter's gross motor development and confidence. I think that what truly sets this gym apart is the owner, Margie's, ability to identify and hire the absolute best trainers. Each trainer is uniquely gifted at working with and training children. My daughter is a sensitive soul, and I am so amazed at how well each trainer has bonded with her, and was able to teach her new skills after a trusting and friendly relationship was developed. She has made so many new friends through the classes at MyGym, and it's become like a second home to us. Yesterday, we hosted two separate parties for her fourth birthday at MyGym, and our daughter had the absolute best time. Alex and Kennidy worked so hard and so well, and I was once again blown away at their ability to entertain a large crowd of kids. They did a great job decorating and setting everything up for the parties and were so flexible and accommodating. All of the kids and parents had so much fun, and I was able to enjoy and appreciate it all without any stress. I know that this event will be a core memory for her and for me as well. Thank you so much to the whole staff for being a part of our lives!

Checking this one off my bucket list before it even landed on my bucket list…read more YES, I believe everyone should experience a challenge course like this at least once in their life! I was on the hunt for a ropes course for my sister's bachelorette weekend for MONTHS. I couldn't find one that was 1) in the area 2) in our price range and 3) open on July 4th. Not a single one. And then I received an e-mail that UCSD would open up their challenge course for us...a bunch of ladies (and two gentlemen!) who did not know what we were getting ourselves into for a couple hours on a Saturday morning. We only did the highs-only course that was 50 ft up in the air. This included walking on wires, jumping across platforms, upper body strength, and ziplining...to name a few. I know it's not the typical "bachelorette" extravaganza, but I wanted something thrilling and adventurous that we could all participate in together. That's exactly what this challenge course does; it tests your limits and helps to strengthen collaboration, but most importantly, it's FUN! I, personally, was not frightened by the height or tasks we had to do, but it was definitely exhilarating on another level (no pun intended.) I write this review with a profound gratitude for this company because they exceeded my expectations. THANK YOU for giving us a reasonable price per person (every other company I called was $3000-4000 for a group of 12,) being open just for us on a holiday, and integrating such vibrant personalities to lead us through the course. I wish we could have tried things like Leap of Faith, etc., but perhaps there's always another time! I think I've found a new hobby. :)
