Here on a Sunday. The park itself is fine. THE BATHROOMS ARE DISGUSTING. We were here from 10:00 AM to about 8 PM Every time we went to the bathroom it was filthy.. The time I went at 5:40 PM I couldn't stay quiet anymore. DO THESE BATHROOMS GET CLEANED?? It really doesn't look like it. The lady next to me said the last time she was here there was diarrhea all over the middle stall. Like WTH is wrong with women? These bathrooms should definitely be cleaned through out the day, but it doesn't look like they are. This is CORONADO I'm very surprised how filthy it gets.
Love this park! Perfect spot for sun, breeze and a view of the San Diego City and Coronado Bridge! There is a park with plenty of space for sports and pinics or parties. There is also a path around the park and also along side the water....this leads under the bridge towards a golf course.. If you head the other direction it will take you to the Ferry Landing with cute shops and restuarants. Parking is free here. No homeless ppl, clean and safe. Wish the restrooms had doors. And the playground needs a swing perhaps. But all in all...my son enjoys climbing, sliding and playing in the sand. It is near a bike rental is you dont own your own..and a skateboard park as well.
I really wanted to give Tidelands Park five stars but it fell one star short for me. It's hard to exactly pinpoint the reason for me, but I think it's mainly because the walkway is too short to my liking. I have created a couple of YouTube videos for my channel here, and I'm sure I'll create more. But I just feel like I want to walk further up the San Diego Bay when I visit. As for the good stuff, the views are just awesome! You can get outstanding photos of the city of San Diego and the Coronado Bridge. It was good practice for vlogging and working with my new camera recently, which I thoroughly enjoyed. There's an excellent children's playground here that is just about always being used as well. It's clear this is a photographic site. It's fun to find other photographers here on my visits. Get to have some good chats, talk about our gear, and share some tips for shooting and photo/video creation too! There are baseball fields here and they can be occupied on the weekends. When they are, parking can be tight. I will say the parking lot is pretty large, but events and times of the year can affect parking availability. I really like Tidelands Park. It has good scenery in just about all sections of the park. It's hard to create a bad vlog here on the scenery side of things! Come visit! Its proximity to the Coronado shopping area is a plus too! What a great park on Coronado Island!!! I came here in the evening, and you can't beat the views from here of the Coronado Bridge when it's all lit up. As we were coming, a lot of people were leaving, I could tell this is a very active, popular park during the day. It's spacious with a lot of open grassy areas and picnic spaces. When coming off the Coronado Bridge, keep right and take the first exit, it's very easy to miss, but well with your time!!
Cute park with a view of the bridge, but not a great place if you're looking for good beach access. There is a lot of open area to enjoy activities outside. Very popular place for group events apparently. The parking lot was nearly full.
Most beautiful park I've been to yet with that scenery! I couldn't help but sit for a moment and breathe here! Take it all in with the view, calm waters, and sports taking place. What a blessing honestly! Kids park nearby, soccer fields, walking trails and much more! Just stunning and cool!
This is a beautiful park along the water, with beautiful people, beautiful views of downtown San Diego, the Coronado bridge, and bay. There are plenty of grassy areas for picnics and a few tables for parties, and a baseball field. The day I went for a run here was pleasant -busy, but not claustrophobic. There was an SUP class being held on the water near the fitness bars and bike path. It looked really fun. I tried to run along the bike path by the bridge, but I had to turn around because there were obstructions due to construction and abundant wildflower overgrowth narrowing the path. So instead, I made my way past the dog walkers, tourists, the mommy and me strollers fitness group, the seaside spa and resort, the shopping center, and up to the ferry landing. Come here and enjoy one of the many the splendid places that make San Diego great.
I feel like the most important thing that I could tell you about this park is that there are absolutely NO DOORS ON THE BATHROOM STALLS. I was shocked to discover this and I browsed the Yelp page before going here and no one seemed to mention this huge oversight. Mothers had to hold up beach towels as makeshift doors so that their children could have privacy. I came here for the park, so no privacy for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm a mom so 9 times out of 10 I'm never alone in a bathroom anyway, but not with strangers. I imagine that prison must feel similar. I'm glad I only had to pee. Aside from that, beachfront park. Grassy areas. Parking lot available, but was packed because of it being a Saturday afternoon. The play structure seems relatively new (maybe within the last 5 years) and sturdy. This was my first time here and I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here.
Great park on Coronado island with view of the San Diego skyline, landing planes, and the Coronado bridge. Went there on a Saturday during the color the sky kite event and some booths were set up for food and selling items. Wonderful views in every direction. Nice walkways. Plenty of tables and green grass. There were people having a great time, flying kites, picnicking, and some guys filming an exercise video. Large parking lot, with free parking. It was very crowded so had to drive around for a few minutes to find a place. Enjoy my pics.
This park sits adjacent to the Coronado Bay Bridge. It a sizable park, and it has courts, fitness equipment, and a playground. It is a family friendly and peaceful place. I personally like coming here when I walk around the island, and get a few sets of pull-ups and dips in. Because it isn't an excursion for me without exercise! If you're looking for a nice place to bring the family, or a place to have a nice picnic, this is definitely a good spot.

We decided to check out this tiny little beach spot on Wednesday afternoon. Looked super family friendly with picnic tables, playground and skate park. We plopped down a blanket by the path under a palm tree, about 10 feet from the water. The weather was perfect. There was a steady flow of people on bikes, kayaks and paddle boards. We enjoyed it not being crowded at all. It was almost perfect. The only con was there were lots of prickly spiky seed pods and fire red ants in the sand. We moved the blanket but we wanted to be in the shade. We will come back when it's cooler and settle down closer to the water. read more
Absolutely stunning park! *Parking: free parking lot. *Amenities: so many!! Two play structures, art installations, path for biking, walking, running, small beach, bathrooms, huge grassy field and picnic tables. The view of Coronado bridge and downtown San Diego was my favorite part. read more

Sweet park with amazing views of San Diego. As other reviews describe in more detail, soccer and softball fields, playground equipment, tiny beach for kayak or SUP boards, picnic areas. (The restrooms are old school beach bathrooms, no doors, metal toilets--just be prepared, but nothing to be freaked out about.) Love the bicycler weathervane, she is AMAZING! Overall, during the weekday it is a calm peaceful park with beautiful views! read more
Tidelands Park isn't really a park that locals go to for a day of sun and relaxing. I know this because on a given holiday or summer weekend the park is littered with Raiders flags and the associated riffraff. The best part of this park is the bike path that goes through it. You can actually ride your bike under the Coronado Bay Bridge if you so desire. So my recommendation is to simply ride through Tidelands Park on a rented bike and not spend your day here. - There's a small sandy bay side beach that's shared with dinghies from the boats anchored in the Bay. Not good for swimming. - Tidelands Park is an awesome vantage point for the Big Bay Boom 4th of July fireworks show. read more
Decided to come here after a mom blogger posted that she visited a s enjoyed it. I see it every time I drive to Coronado beach so I thought why not give it a try. We went on one of the hostess days I went early to try and beat the heat. PARKING: Large parking lot available There are bathrooms. However I didn't check how clean they were. As I looked around, the grounds didn't look bad, it looked well kept. The playground is right by the water, just after the old tolls at the end of Coronado bridge. It's easy to get to. There's artwork scattered around. The play structures are nice and a few cool features that I've never seen. I have a 2 and 4 year old and they had no problem navigating the ladders and slides. The only issue was lack of shade. There is some but not enough. And it wasn't because it was a hot day that I was feeling the heat. They need to update this playground with a little more shade like at Spreckles Park near Coronado Library. The views are nice. They need more tree shade along the walking path!! Overall, we had a decent time. We got in and out before it got too hot. But we probably won't return unless there's overcast. read more

Tidelands Park has a tiny beach, huge grassy field, a picnic area to bbq, a playground, a great view of the waterfront, a bike path that cuts through that comes from silver strand to the old ferry landing. I've been coming here for many years. One of my favorite places for an evening stroll. I usually don't park in the parking lot per say. I usually park near Nicky rotten on orange ave. Then walk past the old ferry landing, Glorietta bay to tidelands, underneath Coronado bridge and then back to my car. If I don't decide to take a couple more laps. Oh one last thing tidelands parking lot/entrance is easy to miss. read more

A sacred place to me is the Coronado Tidelands Park. My sister and I use to drive here just for the view of the city and to people watch. We witnessed our friends tie the knot with the picturesque view of the cityscapes. We stared into the horizon as we continued to be mesmerized by numerous boats that dock into the night. Throughout the years we watched the many dogs that stepped in and out of our lives frolic on the grass until sunset. Furry friends however are not allowed on the beach. This is a great place to BBQ with friends since there are picnic tables. The park has a lot of amenities like a skateboard park, sports fields and a place to bring your paddle boards and kayaks and restrooms. My favorite is the paved Bayshore Bike way, which is a scenic bike path that extends from the Silver Strand to the Old Ferry Landing. All bikers, runners and walkers are welcome. Parts of the bike way are fenced due to the safety of certain areas or nearing under the Coronado Bridge. Part of the beach is shaded due to palm trees that surround the parameter, but still great for sunbathing. This is a family oriented park and with lots of safe places for kids to run around in with a full playground. For the shutter bugs, there are ample of places to shoot during the day and night. It's a little tricky to get here if you're coming straight over from the Coronado Bay Bridge. If you're coming from the bridge, stay on your right lane and veer on the first street to your right before Glorietta Rd. (Glorietta is one way only). Drive through Mullinex Dr. until you see a sizable parking area. Otherwise, head east ward on 2nd street into 3rd and you'll end up at the park.You can't beat free parking. Permits are required for small and or private events at this park. read more

There aren't too many things to do in this park and THAT"S THE BEST PART. You can walk while admiring the ocean, seagull and nature around you. It's very refreshing for the body, spirit and soul. There are plenty of areas to have the dreamed picnic... read more

Our favorite family park! We come here mostly for the skate park. It's $10 to sign up, and then $5 when you return. This is our first skate park experience. They have helmets and pads for free to borrow if you forget yours. There is a shallow and a separate deep skate area. My boys are beginner skaters and this park fit the bill. We have come on weekends and weekdays and it hasn't been over crowded and parking was no problem. They have gatorades for $2 and a snack bar. The staff is really helpful and courteous. read more

BEAUTIFUL! Decent parking, I've never seen this place too crowded which is awesome. Nice big grassy area, skate park, playground and bathrooms. Perfect for riding bikes or carts all around. Spectacular views of the Coronado Bridge, the Bay, and Downtown SD! Just a beautiful place to go for a walk and get some sunshine and ocean breeze! You just can't go wrong with this park! It's a favorite of ours and we go as often as possible. read more

Went for the skatepark and was highly disappointed. After driving for an hour to get there, we found the skatepark did not open until 1:00pm - what kind of skate park opens at the hottest point of the day and closes 15 minutes before sunset ? Save your time, unless you those hours work for you. read more
This park is awesome, close to downtown (by uber was like 7 or 8 dollars) and it's got everything! Bathrooms, a place to wash your feet, they got a great sandy beach, and it's shallow, no waves, great for swimming, it's so pretty too! Looks a lot like Miami. Also a place to get snacks and a nice walkway along the water with a view of downtown read more
One of my favorite parks in San Diego. This park has a very cool breeze as the wind blows off the bay. With a great view of San Diego, Tidelands park is a photo nut hotspot. You can also get upclose and personal with the Coronado Bridge. Excellent place for a little night photography as well. The northern route on the path along Tidelands Park will take you to Ferry Landing Marketplace. There, you can take the ferry back and forth to downtown San Diego. *great spot after dinner on first dates (wink, wink) read more
Went here to try stand up paddling by the Coronado Bridge. Beautiful views of the downtown skyline and bridge. Hanging out at this place is a nice reminder of how lucky I am to live in San Diego. Though there were quite a few people enjoying the park, there was still ample parking. There's a little bit of everything for everyone. A kid's playground, a skatepark for the teenagers, a cement trail to enjoy biking and biking. Ahhh!! read more
A definite place to take out of town guests for beautiful pics of SD. This hidden gem has well maintained grass and playgrounds for the kids to enjoy. Picnic tables are plenty and have a great view of the bay. There's a trail that runs along the shoreline to the Coronado Ferry Landing and back underneath the Coronado Bridge to the golf course on the opposite side. If you follow the road it will take you to Hotel Del Coronado if your willing to walk that far. I've biked it. read more
Nice park with view of Coronado bridge and downtown SD, plenty of open grass area for running and playing around, saw some football and rugby games going too Has a nice path for runners, bikers, dog walkers... etc Plenty of colorful well maintained playground structures, my 3yr old had a blast going down the slides and crawling through the "tunnels". She also enjoyed climbing and sitting on the oversized bright "thrones". I got my small circuit training routine done in their work out area with situp bench, multiple uneven pullup bars Will be our go to park when we're in the area read more

Is there bike rentals at the park?
Yes they do I believe it's called rays rental. They rent bikes, jet skis and kayaks but not quite sure. It's located behind the Marriott.
