We were supposed to get a better room but there was nothing else available. The clocks at the side of the bed in the room didn't even work. They were broken.... Really? The beach water was polluted and there was no swimming. That would have been nice to know. The benches around the resort were soaking wet at 9:00 in the morning. I asked about wiping one down to sit in the beautiful weather but the attendant said he had no towel (in the valet hut) it wasn't his job. He was very busy on his phone!!!!! The food and cocktails were ridiculously priced. Twenty dollars for ice cream for two? Fourteen dollars for a draft beer? I realize it's the Del and things would be more than normal but everything was just average and didn't have the same charm the Del is known for. We will not be returning to the Del. My husband and I have been there many times but the old charm is fading fast. It's just another hotel.

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special. The two young ladies who checked us in were an absolute delight. They looked like sisters but are actually best friends, and their genuine warmth and kindness made the start of our stay so memorable. The concierge was equally fantastic, ensuring our bags were delivered quickly and that we were comfortably settled in our room. The property itself is breathtaking...! The meticulously maintained gardens and stunning California coastal location provided the perfect romantic setting. We enjoyed outstanding fine dining experiences at both Nobu del Coronado and Seréa. What truly touched us was returning to our room to find a thoughtful happy anniversary card and a small box of delicious chocolates from the front desk team. It was such a sweet and personal touch. We were genuinely sad to leave and will absolutely be returning. Thank you to the entire team at the Hotel del Coronado for making our anniversary weekend so special!

Beautiful bathroom. Spotless. The living room was a plus. When you book the Shorehouse, you get access to a pool that's not open to the rest of the resort. It was so mellow and enjoyable, especially during such a busy Nascar weekend. The breakfast area was beautiful. There was a pretty good spread ranging from an omelette bar to parfaits and baked goods. I look forward to returning. It was such a fun vibe. Highly recommend for a couple's weekend or even with kids.

It's interesting how there are so many different properties within the same hotel/resort. Every property is so different, and the shore house is definitely one of the nicer accommodations. It feels brand new, and every room is set up like an apartment. Very spacious, a small fireplaces inside and outside. Very nice bathroom with a deep soaking tub and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need, including a full-size refrigerator and dishwasher. My one gripe was that the water was not hot. Maybe it was around 100° max. It was a bit frustrating not to be able to take a fully hot shower. This is something I probably should've mentioned to the staff, but we were only there for two nights. Would recommend this property over the other options. A bit more expensive, but definitely worth it if you're going to splurge at The Del!

You pay for the location and that is about it. The main lobby was super cute. We were very excited to stay here. But it took a turn when we were shown our room. The smell was so bad you could smell it a few feet outside of our door. We would wake up in the middle of the night because the smell woke us up. It smelled like mildew & mold so bad, on top of cigarettes and hospice. I went to call to ask for a new room and our phone didn't work. I moved the side bedroom table to see if it was plugged in and it was so dirty with bugs and lint balls. I didn't touch the phone again. I called from my cell phone to see about changing our room. She told me I could come the next day and take a look at other rooms that were available, but we were only there for one more night and we had plans with friends that day. The carpet is disgusting. The couch is so dirty. There were brown stains on the sheets of our bed. Every time the cleaning crew would come in, they would open every single window to the fullest to mask the smell. There's not a restaurant here so you have to go get your food and bring it in. There were dead bugs in the utensil drawers. So we used plastic utensils, and paper plates our whole trip. Our room looked nothing like the lobby. A motel 8 would've been better. Even the pool is sad. We were going to cancel our stay and book somewhere else, but we booked through Expedia and it's a nightmare trying to get a refund through them. Otherwise, we would've left after the first day. When leaving a manager pulled me aside and said he was going to comp one day resort fee for us because of the smell. He didn't have to do that, but it was nice of him. We will never be back unless they do a serious update. So sad because the location is killer!

One of the highlights was breakfast -- the quiche was amazing and easily one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. The location is fantastic. It's a quick, easy walk to the beach, the iconic Hotel del Coronado, plus plenty of shopping and great restaurants nearby. I also loved that they provide bikes and beach chairs, which made exploring Coronado and spending time by the water effortless. Great location, nice staff, comfortable rooms, and thoughtful amenities -- loved it.

Water pressure provided wonderful hot showers every morning. Parking on the street was always available. Watch your wheels on the curb though. We didn't participate but there are free bikes for riding around, a clean heated pool and a cafe out front of the inn. Id definitely stay here again if we chose Coronado as a destination.
