Take out coleslaw and hell yeah corn
    Nicole P.

I have been wanting to try this place and finally got the chance! I arrived only 10 mins after they opened and there was a line out the door! The place is very small with only about 2 tables inside and a patio with a few more tables. Since it was a chilly fall afternoon we took our food to go. We had the half lb of chopped brisket and pulled pork, both were delicious and their BBQ sauce was amazing! I am not a huge BBQ sauce fan, but I loved theirs because it was sweet and tangy. We also loved a side of hell yeah corn! For me coleslaw is always a must with BBQ and the flavor of theirs fell a bit short. I will absolutely be back for try their sandwiches! Just be prepared for a line and limited seating. They also close when their meats run out so get there early or you'll miss out!!

I'm not sure if I want to return for the delicious food or the 5 star service given at Pulled Fork! I've been here once before and loved it and was happy I stopped by today. I got their new Cuban Twist Tacos and their Fried Chicken tacos, cornbread pudding, and for dessert to take home their tipsy rum cake. The tacos were amazing and tortillas grilled to perfection and wow the Cuban twist tacos were so different and delish! Next time I told them I'm trying them with the chipotle mustard for a little kick, Mike the owner seemed to love that idea. The tacos were healthy in size as well, 2 to an order so great to split and order other food if not then leftovers! Don't skip out on taking dessert home since you'll be full leaving there. Their tipsy rum cake...just wow! They also had a peanut butter krispy treat with butterscotch and chocolate and a campfire s'mores bar with Nutella that also looked amazing. Can't wait to go back to try more

    Pork Quesadilla

We have ordered carry out from here twice and it has been DELICIOUS both times! When the world is back to normal, we look forward to being able to dine in too! Our first visit, I had the Pork Quesadilla and my husband had the Brisket Sandwich. We also tried the Crispy Tots, Pickle Fries, and Cornbread Pudding. We loved it all! Our second visit we both had the Fried Chicken sandwich. I had expected a full piece of fried chicken on the sandwich, but it was more of a thing flat chicken cutlet. Still completely delicious though!!

Stopped here for a nice family lunch after visiting the orchard at Melick's farm. It was great they had some outdoor seating so we weren't forced to eat in our car during Covid. The staff was very nice and accommodating, answering every question and bringing out crayons for the little one. I'm surprised with how much we ordered and how little was left at the end! Plus we were so hungry I forgot to take any photos when it came out! We ordered the Mac daddy, fried chicken sandwich, pulled pork, corn pudding, cole slaw, and fries between 3 adults and one 4yo. It was plenty of food, and should have led way for left overs, but didn't.... my favorite meat was the brisket from the Mac daddy. I personally prefer a stickier bbq sauce than what was at pulled fork, but I definitely added that and the chipotle mayo to my fried chicken sandwich to make it even juicier plus the coleslaw. If you're in the area I'd definitely recommend stopping by for a quick bite!

    Smoker!!
    Steven S.

Can you smell the smoker? This place is amazing. I just walked past it and I'm trying to give you the full sense of the glory of this place. What I can't give you is the amazing aroma of the smoker. The problem for me is that when I give places great reviews they become so crowded that I can no longer get in. You better get here quickly because they close when their barbecue runs out. Trust me, I will beat you. Seriously? The food is delicious and the people are down to earth wonderful. You really should try this place.

    A sunny lunch!

We were in the area for a hike, drove by before they even opened and noticed that there was already a long line out front! We had already decided that was where we were going for lunch.. After our hike we were starving for some BBQ. We walked up to the front porch and found the hostess changing some menu items on the outdoor sign, as one thing became unavailable, another was added. I saw someone eating the brisket and decided that's what I wanted and I was not sorry. The brisket was cut up into bite sized pieces so it was easier to eat on the sandwich but it was already so tender it just melted in your mouth. The kaiser roll was fresh and the perfect bed to soak up any of that BBQ sauce overflow. We also order coleslaw and tots to share. I was stuffed. The coleslaw was so fresh and crisp and the tots were perfectly crispy with a dusting of their special seasoning. We were lucky to grab a couple of seats on their cute front porch on this sunny Saturday because as soon as we sat down another wave of people came. Brisket was in high demand and we actually heard them say that they had sold out for the day as we were walking back to our car. Definitely give Pulled Fork a try for some awesome hometown BBQ and definitely get there early to have your choices of the full menu.

@BigDudesBigFoods dined at, possibly, one of the most delicious stops we've visited on our, mostly Jersey, food tour. @PulledForkBBQNJ laid out a #BBQ spread for us that you can't find around here. There are about 10 different hand held choices that we happily chose from along with #BeefBrisket #PulledPork and #BeefSausage by the lb. Joe got the Pulled Pork Classic and I got the Texas Hold 'em (Sausage, Pepper Jack w/ Chipotle Mustard) We had an assortment of sides. (He'll Yell Corn Ranch Beans Cornbread pudding and fries) All were yummified. I had to get the Tipsy Texas Rum Cake for a sweet ending. Come out to #LongValleyNJ where the Meredith family will treat you like family and make your BBQ dreams come true. #PulledForkBBQ is cool place, with great food, run by a friendly, fun loving family. If you love barbecue, you'll love Pulled Fork. Fried Pickles
    Steve R.

Spotted this roadside spot on the way to one of my customers and had to come back here for lunch. Now when I see roadside BBQ, it usually catches my eye and this spot certainly had some curbside appeal. This is an old, small, country style building with a front porch and a smoker in the back and you almost can't not stop. Family run by the Meredith Family, I told them it was my first time there and I definitely got a warm welcome. I figured since this was my first visit, I'd go with their Pulled Pork Classic sandwich, 1/2 lb. of pulled pork piled on a grilled kaiser roll with Mike's original BBQ sauce. Well this didn't disappoint. The meat melted in your mouth and the sauce added a sweet barbecue flavor that was delicious. When I saw they had Fried Pickles I had to get them on the side. I'm glad I did, these were also delicious as was their homemade dipping sauce. Now I don't know if they are warning you or bragging or both, to get here early before they sell out, but you can be sure I'll never be late.

Brisket Sandwich, Tater Tots, Cornbread Pudding
    Spike R.

This little joint is great. You probably drive by this place every day and not know it's here. And you probably will if you've never been here! They were innovative during this quarantine and put their menu on the wall of their building out front where a host will take your order via iPad and send it to the kitchen. The seating is first come, first serve with three tables and a couple bar stools against the railing. While I was there, the takeout business was on fire though. Their smoker is on the side of the building and you can smell whatever they have going on at that moment. I got the brisket sandwich with tater tots and cornbread pudding. They don't have any combos here. While I was sitting down the owner kept.comong out to check on the smoker and we spoke a few times. He said to keep checking online for daily/weekend specials and to put the order in early because they go quick. So remember that When I received my order I dig right in. The brisket had good tenderness, the flavor was there, and there wasn't a lot of fat. They put just enough sauce on it so it didn't ruin the taste of the meat. The tater tots had a little spice to them which made that enjoyable. But dang, the cornbread pudding was amazing! I'll be back to try more of their other items.

I'd love to go here for dinner with my family. Any chance you'll ever be open after 5?

They close when their wonderful smoked meats are sold out. That is normally early afternoon. You should try to get there at 11:00am and order takeout by the pound then bring it home to reheat for dinner. It's worth it.

It was so good, I didn't even bother with dressing. My son had the daily special of chorizo tacos. While they did come on flour tortillas, which are not his favorite, the chorizo itself was absolutely delicious. I normally avoid chorizo because it can be super-spicy, but in this case, it was just beautifully flavored with touches of greens and onions on top. We both got the house-made lemonades to drink. One with mint and ginger, which my son quite liked (it's the one that looks like a green potion in the photos); one with lavender, which I adored. We were also offered toast with three different house sauces to try on it as a complementary appetizer. The decor and ambience is cozy, inviting, and charming. Service was prompt and courteous. Overall, this is a little gem of an eatery in Hackettstown that I can highly recommend.

So yes, by my highly scientific logic, this is also a Mexican spot. The decor definitely leans Mexico, heavy, which its amazing, kept reminding me of my favorite Mexican restaurant. But anyway, we're not here for interior design, we're here to eat. There's a LOT going on here, menu wise and vibe pwise, but in a good way. I ordered the Sandwiches de Miga 'Olímpico' and if you haven't tried them yet, that's a personal failure you can still fix. They're a must. Soft, classic, comforting... except for the edges. The edges were... questionable. Hard/frozen-ish. Not blaming anyone directly, maybe the fridge settings were on "Antarctica," maybe they weren't fully thawed. We'll never know. But that first bite hurt emotionally. It was like ordering a burger without pickles, taking a confident bite, and BOOM! pickle. Suddenly your whole day shifts slightly off center. Service wise: the guy at the counter stared at me, I started my order with zero greeting, felt like human self checkout, and I'm fine with that. Sometimes you don't want conversation, you just want carbs. Despite the frozen edge plot twist, I'm 100% coming back. The food has real potential, the place has character, and I need to try their asado.

We were able to make a reservation, and the restaurant was kind enough to extend our reservation when we were delayed -- especially on one of their busiest nights of the week. Maria was exceptionally nice and helpful in making reservations. Food was delicious and enjoyable throughout all the courses. The Picanha and Beef Short Ribs were my favorites of the Rodizio. My parents split a steak entree and the salmon - the restaurant was kind enough to split both entrees on two plates for each of them. Both servings were generous. Had an Old Fashioned and a Caipirinha - both were excellent. They also have an extensive wine and whiskey menu. Service was pretty good. I would say the only hiccup was the food took forever to come, which seems strange for Rodizio. But I attribute the delay to the tardiness of two folks in our party, and a little inexperience of our server. But aside from that, he did a good job. We got to meet the manager Tatiana, who was fabulous - you can tell she cares about her craft, and the owner Joe, who was exceptionally kind and friendly. My niece and his son apparently went to the same school, so it was truly nice to make the acquaintance. I love to support small business, and it doesn't get better than this. I'm about to…read morewax poetic.*** Let me preface by saying that I'm a young adult who considers himself a bit of a foodie. I work in Times Square so I usually frequent fine dining establishments in the city, but my home is North Jersey so I am acutely aware that there are some hidden gems in this state. Last week, I was at the Saddle River Inn in Saddle River and was blown away. But this place is far, far, even more exceptional. Greatest dining experience ever. Called the restaurant due to a last-minute cancelation in my party. Evan, a manager, was super helpful in waiving any cancelation fees. It's BYOB and there's a brewery across the street that apparently does takeout. I just brought beer from my house. They gave me chilled glasses and a bucket of ice to keep my refreshments chilled. Onto the ambience. You walk in and it's a nice, cozy little place with tables and a bar top with an open kitchen layout behind it. You can see all the food that's cooking and the presentations that go behind each dish - all live in front of you. The chef's were busy but always obliged when I said hey or asked a question. I tried the 5 course chef's tasting menu for $125. You get a little bit of all of the best flavors coming out of the kitchen. And the flavors are always changing. They source their ingredients from local farms. First came out complimentary course #1 - all I remember is it had crudo in it. Then course #1 - gulf shrimp with squid. This is the point where I decide no matter how else dinner plays out, I'm coming back. What fresh ingredients and creative flavor pairings. Next was course #2 - duck confit spring roll. It's just a smaller portion of what's regularly on their menu. This may have been my favorite item of the night. Next was wood fired octopus in tagliatelle pasta. After that, I believe, was complimentary course #2 - what appeared to be a caesar salad. Anything they make is delicious. Finally, I had an American wagyu strip as the fourth course. Absolutely delectable. At this point, I'm in Heaven. But I'm not quite yet full and ready for my dessert - profiteroles - one of my favorite desserts. I was looking forward to it from the moment I walked in and saw it listed on the tasting menu. I only eat 1 meal a day so when I finally eat, I eat a lot. A normal person would be full at this point, but I wanted more. I also couldn't help but think it might have something to do with me not wanting to leave and just try anything this kitchen made. So I ordered more. I asked for their regular menu and ordered some more duck confit spring rolls and some type of pork belly entree. Quick note - the pork belly entree was not good. You have to take the losses on the chin to make the wins matter more. Pork belly over beans? It was like bbq ribs meets an English breakfast. Please get rid of that, respectfully. After 3 bites, I didn't want any more so I quietly flagged down my server, Kat, and told her please quietly take this, I fully intend to pay for it since I ordered it; it's just no good. And I had been raving to her about every dish up until that point. So she insisted that she'd take it off the check. I insisted I'd pay, she kept insisting, so I relented. That's really good customer service. Now time for dessert. I wish I could say I was ending on a better note but the Profiteroles - which I mentioned is a favorite dessert of mine - massive disappointment. After everything else was put together for care, I got notes of freezer for this last one - especially the pumpkin part. I love this restaurant and I intend on returning as soon as possible, so please don't take offense to my constructive criticism. I applaud your efforts to infuse different flavors together. It is working wonders for you. Keep it up. I'm gonna share pictures of everything, including the menu. But the last 2 things I'll talk about are the cost and the service. With the pork belly entree taken off, it was just the 5 course tasting menu, an order of duck confit spring rolls, and a $6 double espresso. The total came out to $168 after taxes. I tipped $168. That's right. 100%. In a world where people like to dock tip percentages from their precious "20%" for what they perceive to be a lack of good service, let's normalize going above 25% for exceptional service. Not everyone can afford 100% like me, but next tip tip your servers 30-35% for exceptional service. As a former server in my heyday, I promise it'll mean more to them than the few extra dollars to you. And exceptional service is what I got. From manager Evan, to server Kat, to all of the others I met - forgive me if I forget any names. Chef Kelly, Chef Mike, Chef Jon, Keira, Jimmy. Thank you for an unforgettable 5-star experience. Keep up the exceptional work. I will see you again soon.
