He hasn't been kicked out of other establishments per se, but he definitely is not welcomed with open arms by most groomers. He is fighting an ongoing battle against hair dryer hoses and can appear quite vicious if he is being dried. Aunt Jayne literally built a little contraption to aim all the hoses at a grooming table so that he can be dried in a little wind tunnel instead of stressing him out bringing the hoses near him. Aunt Jayne also urged me to talk to the vet about trazodone to help Nelson take a chill pill. This has greatly improved his grooming trips. He also looks even more adorable once he is done at aunt Jayne's. I believe she will cut any dog's hair, but she does specialize in the "special" dogs that need a little extra care.

I've been getting him groomed a long time. I know what a freshly groomed face looks and smells like. Photos 1&2 show Petsmart 6/1/25. Third photo shows groomed in the past by another place. I expressed to the manager I was not happy with his face. He said grooming was not his expertise, therefore we went to speak with Suzy. She was condescending, as if I don't know that tear stains can't be removed easily, and as though that were the problem. He looked and smelled as if nothing was done to his face. Worst money I spent on a groom. Don't use them for the manager's response and a groomer that looks as if she hates her job and the customers. Bye Suzy H.! Update...customer service is just as bad. They promise to get back to you in 48 hours and never did. I guess that's why the groomers and managers are as bad as they are. I will spend my money else where. Sorry my dog had to endure this. I guess that means they were in to clear to just hack her up. They shaved down everything til some spots were just bare skin. She looked awful. They didn't even try to groom her. Never again! I asked everyone I knew for recommendations and did my due diligence prior to booking an appointment with Pawsitively Purrfect. I literally couldn't find anything negative about them and now I see why! Jessica was so professional, organized and kind. I told her that we would be celebrating our toy poodles 2nd Birthday and she was able to schedule us for the day before her party. We were concerned with how she would handle grooming again. Prior to her appointment I received appointment confirmations via text and email. Jessica arrived on time, was gentle and friendly. She spent time allowing Chloe to get acquainted and made me feel really comfortable as well. Chloe was so excited to meet her. I was asked questions regarding my grooming preferences and struggled to communicate them to her. I anxiously awaited and peeked out the window occasionally. I frantically worried that I didn't explain something properly and Chloe would look a mess for her party. I was shocked when Chloe and Jessica rang the doorbell only after an hour. Chloe pranced into the house and looked PERFECT! More importantly, she didn't show a single sign of stress. Jessica set her down and she ran off to get a toy and brought it back like nothing ever happened. I absolutely could not have been any more satisfied with the entire experience. It is so convenient, I love the peace of mind knowing that she is right outside my door and it is so much easier on her. Grooming previously took 3 hours, by the time I picked her up she was stressed, anxious and absolutely desperate to potty. I also thought it was so thoughtful that they returned Chloe with a really cute flower collar instead of the dreaded bows. She even remembered it was her birthday and brought me a birthday bandana too in case I didn't have anything for her to wear to her party. Thank you Pawsitively Purrfect for easing my fears and taking such great care of my furbaby!
