I have a senior kitty who was recently hospitalised and developed some matts, she's never been groomed before and she's pretty fussy so I was really worried about how it would go. Kateri gave us the option to come early in the morning so that no other animals would be there since my girl gets spooked pretty easy, and it went phenomenal!!! My kitty was so good and Kateri was incredibly kind and swift with the cut even though my girl was really wiggly. Definitely reccomend! read more

We take our two dogs, Bear & Sammy, to AGC's and I cannot say enough positive things about this place and about Kateri. Before these boys, we took our dog Daisey there, too, so we are long time clients. The boys are both high anxiety but everyone there deals with them expertly and they come out looking fabulous. Also, Kateri is just so dang considerate! She knows to expect us once/month, so if she looks ahead and sees that we are not on the calendar and things are getting booked quickly, she will call to let me know so that we don't get blocked out. I take my long haired cat here to be combed, trimmed, and have her nails trimmed. She is not cooperative. The groomer here was able to comb out all of her undercoat, trim her nails, and give her a sanitary trim all for a very reasonable price. I've been taking both of my Persian cats here for over a year and a half and they always come back smelling and looking great. The owner is very friendly and I've never seen any signs of her being rough with either cat. The price to get a lion cut, a bath and trimmed nails is only 40 bucks which I consider a good price considering the art of shaving a cat! I had a hard time finding a groomer willing to groom a cat so was relieved when I asked her and she said she did in fact groom cats. The experience was so good I kept going back. I did one time deviate and got one cat groomed while home with my parents and it ended with him having a bald spot on his butt. That's never happened at All God's Creatures. Worst. Haircut. Ever. I have a Yorkiepoo that has been getting her haircut for five years. She's had her fair share of hit or miss haircuts, but she's never gotten a haircut this bad. I showed the groomer a picture of what I wanted, but I guess it got lost in translation with all of the barking dogs in the back (read: I had to shout to be heard). My hubby picked up my dog so I didn't get a chance to examine her, but when she got back........oh no! Not only was the haircut different from the picture I showed the groomer, it was BAD haircut. The whole haircut is choppy and uneven. The hair on her chest is much longer than her body and she has random longer hairs sticking out on her legs. Heck, half her body seems to be shaved closer than her other half! My husband has done a better job at grooming my dog, it was that bad. My poor sad pup. Thankfully, she doesn't know any better. I can't say enough good things about Erika and the entire staff of All God's Creatures. They've been treating Oskar, a Bichon, to an excellent bath and haircut on a regular basis for over a year now. His coat isn't the easiest to style, but Erika consistently delivers exactly what we ask for and makes sure to re-confirm how we want him styled at the start of each appointment. Oskar is always happy to see her and comes back refreshed and really loving his new look. After two bad (and more expensive) grooming experiences elsewhere, it feels great to have found a business that is such a good fit for him. I don't see us going anywhere else! read more

Update after taking both of my cats multiple times. I saw a few people complaining about uneven cuts. My one cat is a little moody at times, and I've never had her shaved before. I was nervous I'd get a phone call during the day saying she couldn't finish, but that didn't happen. I went to go pick them up, and she mentioned that she wasn't able to even Itty out because she had a "moment" and the groomer did not want to push her any longer. I really appreciated the fact that she always has the animals welfare in mind, and won't go to extremes to finish the perfect hair cut. Yes, Itty looked ridiculous, but she's shaved, I have A LOT less hair in my apartment, and she seems happier. Also, her pricing is amazing. Both cats - shaved & bathed for $96 (includes tax). I took my dog here for a cut. They were the first place I tried afer moving to Pittsburgh. They're perfectly fine. They were nice, and very quick. They followed my instructions. The quality of the cut wasn't that great though. I won't be as hyperbolic as others and say it was the "worst haircut ever", it was mostly fine, but there was some random unevenness. I have lived in three states and this place, hands down, is the best groomer I have taken my dog to. The owner and her staff does an amazing, very thorough job on my dog. I have an Alaskan Malamute mix who is about 115 lbs. I've always been charged extra for his size and fur. Both those combined meant I was paying $100 or more. Not this place. She has the most reasonable prices I have seen of all the groomers I've taken my dog to. On top of all that, the owner is super sweet and friendly. I highly recommend this place. read more

My long haired 5 year old cat was very matted. We adopted her 2 years ago and quickly found out she does not liked to be brushed. I have have not had any luck finding a good groomer. Grooming services my cat received in the past always seems rushed, incomplete and sloppy. I needed a good groomer fast, the mats were out of control. I was lucky enough to find this place. The minute we walked in it was a totally different experience. First off, it was clean and bright. The last groomer I went to the smell was just awful, so I was immediately surprised. The groomer was nice and pleasant. I warned her of the difficulties we have had in the past and that the cat was traumatized by previous grooming experiences and may not be too friendly. She assured me she would call if any issues arose. In about 45 minutes I received the call to pick my cat up. OMG!!! my cat looked amazing and so relaxed. My cat was given a lion cut. The groomer had no choice. I was then show all the mats and fur that were taken off - my cat must have been absolutely miserable with all that attached to her body. I was then told the price for service - so reasonable!!!. Since we have been home it's like I have a different pet. My cat is so happy and playful. I just cannot stop petting her. Her fur feels like velvet. The cat and I are overjoyed - I can finally stop my search for a groomer~All God's Creatures is AWESOME!!! read more

I had taken my Himalayan cat here once before when he was younger and just had a bath, dry, brush out and sanitary clip. She did an amazing job and he stayed fresh and clean for a long time. Sadly we moved so I decided to try a groomer closer to my new home. The new groomer did a horrible job and gave my cat back to me damp with a matted undercoat. The mats got so bad I decided to take my cat back to All Gods Creatures (despite it being 45 mins away) I had her fix him up with a lion cut and again she did a fabulous job. I could not be more pleased. I will never go anywhere for my cat's grooming needs ever again. I would definitely recommend All God's Creatures for anyone who needs a groomer for cats. I've had cats for 20 years, but currently have my first long-hair. We had no idea how to care for her coat. After trying to keep her groomed ourselves - with terrible results including horrible matting - we decided to take her to a professional. The results were wonderful. She did need to be shaved underneath to remove the worst mats, but it's only apparent when she's lying on her side or back. The rest of her coat, including her tail, is now beautiful. I've been taking my Newfoundland to All God's Creatures for over two years now. They only time I went somewhere else was because I needed something fast and they couldn't get me in with such short notice. The owner always calls me during grooming if she has any questions or concerns in regards to her cut. I appreciate the effort to make sure that I am happy! I recently started taking our Lab as well, who we normally would just bathe at home. I'm writing this review because I picked up my dogs today, which was the Newfoundland's sixth or seventh visit at least, and my lab's second or third, and I couldn't be more pleased. Our Newfie looks amazing as usual. She is a black and white Landseer and can get quite grey looking. I know that her coat takes a ton of work, and their cost for a bathe and a cut are very reasonable. We'll continue to us them, even with all of the current roadwork on Penn Ave!
