The food was actually very good, which makes this review even more disappointing to write, because the service completely overshadowed the meal. Our waitress seemed confused from the start. We ordered a water and an orange juice, and she wanted to bring us coffee instead. She then returned with two orange juices. When she took our food order, it seemed like she forgot what we had just told her. We also reminded her that we needed two separate checks, but when the bill came out it was still wrong. One of the checks had extra food charges added that did not belong there. Normally I try to be understanding when a restaurant is busy, but that was not the case here. There were maybe seven tables in the restaurant, and she only appeared to be handling two of them. There really was no reason for the service to be this disorganized. The kitchen did a great job, and the food was genuinely good. Unfortunately, the service was frustrating enough that it took away from the overall experience. My friend and I were traveling for a school trip/event. Earlier that morning, she had purchased a Chick-fil-A sandwich at the Ontario, CA airport and saved it for later when she got hungry. I was hungry as well, so we decided to sit down at Puckett's. The waitress was very kind and took our drink orders shortly after we were seated. About five minutes later, the manager seated another customer who had an outside coffee in her hand. Around that time, my friend began eating the sandwich she had purchased earlier while I was browsing the menu and looking at the drink options. The manager approached our table and very rudely told my friend to put her sandwich away. The way he addressed her felt extremely disrespectful. He spoke to her as though he were scolding a child, saying things like, "Put that away, you can't eat that here... I mean seriously?" His tone was condescending and unnecessary. At that point, I was still planning to order food, and my friend was also looking at menu options. It's also worth noting that this is an airport, where people often carry items they purchased elsewhere. While we understand that restaurants may have policies about outside food, there are much more professional and respectful ways to communicate those rules. In fact, the woman who had brought in the outside coffee looked at us afterward and said, "He's very cranky, isn't he? Sheesh." That interaction confirmed how uncomfortable the situation felt. Because of the way we were treated, we ultimately decided that spending our money there was not worth it. As adult women, we simply expected to be treated with basic respect and professionalism. We understand that businesses have rules, but the way those rules are communicated matters. In this case, the situation could have been handled in a much more courteous and professional manner. read more

Some sweat tea with The Southern Platter - a biscuit, potatoes, and gravy with fried chicken and scrambled eggs. Being in Nashville, you have inevitably eaten at a Pucketts around the metro area, so it only makes sense that they tossed one in the airport. This Pucketts is situated in the D Terminal and has a variety of the southern favorites you know and love from the brick and mortar locations. With that being said, keep in mind that this is an airport location, so quality is not as high as other locations. I have popped by this location a few times on my travels with the most recent being before an early morning flight. I was sat and served fairly quickly, and the waitress was friendly and helpful throughout the whole visit. I was after breakfast and ended up with the biscuits and gravy with a side of hashbrown casserole. The biscuits were hot and fluffy, gravy was hot and packed with sausage, but the casserole was cold and underwhelming. Ill avoid it on future visits. Sadly they had not made sweet tea for the morning, which would have paired perfectly, but it forced me to drink water, so I guess it was a win... Overall, solid 3.5 for this Pucketts location. I am so tired of monopoly restaurants in airports. Don't get me wrong. There are some stellar spots out there amongst the terminals in different cities. Those are just gems. This is the chaff that makes you enjoy those. The prices were loud and proud, but I was expecting that. The food was sub par quality which I was hoping to avoid. When they have a sit down spot in an airport and give you plastic wrapped utensils that are so cheap that the fork tines are like spaghetti, you know you are paying a lot for nothing. I had a wrap with fries. I should have just gotten protein at a newspaper stand. That wrap had the taste of hospital food without the care of my health. The fries were ok and ketchup makes it all more homogenous. The seating was terrible and the staff were overwhelmed. Management dragging in more dimes at other people's expense. Not a spot I will visit again during a Nashville layover. There's better spots in the airport. read more

I saw there was a Pucketts and had to go! We were greeted and sat rat away. They were only serving breakfast, I wanted to try some appetizers, but was unable to, no biggie. My first cup of coffee was cold, I asked my husband if his was cold, his was piping hot. He took a sip of mine and said nope, we have to get you a fresh cup! We let our server know, she replaced it right away. Hot coffee was much better! I had the Clucker the biscuit was soft, fluffy, and flavorful! The chicken had the perfect amount of crunch! Well... this was a choice! Coming back from a fun girl's trip, we found ourselves back at the airport was earlier than we needed to be so we decided to grab a bite to eat. Its hard to explain even how the experience went because it was all so confusing. We were seated and then waited quite some time to be greeted. Busy airport, fine, no problem. But when we finally WERE greeted... it must have been this poor man's first week serving. Our meals took extra long, like the kitchen forgot them (later sat people got their food before us). When we brought it up to him, we got a story about how the kitchen is having trouble. When the food finally came my Mac and cheese had the consistency of cement. The replacement Mac and cheese was so grainy it was inedible. Bith times, stories about the kitchen having trouble.. They also decided to have music playing on a speaker in the corner and called it "live music". All it did was add a whole lot of noise to an already noisy airport. I had an hour and a half layover so I was looking for a spot at the airport near gate D3 that I could sit at for awhile to enjoy good food and relax prior to departure. I've been to this Pucketts before and enjoyed my breakfast, the live music & ambience. This time I came for lunch and I was greeted right away by a friendly server who sat me. She immediately took my order and told me about their delicious bloody Mary's. Now, being from Wisconsin where we don't play with drinks of any kind, especially our bloody Mary's, I was happy to give it a try. It was good but I must say no chaser, no toppings besides a lime & a couple olives, I wasn't amazed by any stretch. I'm not faulting this restaurant as much as this could just be how bloodies are made here in TN. For lunch, I ordered the meat & 2 sides and while I waited I was thoroughly entertained by the bartender, named Chris, I believe, who changed hats/outfits at least 10 times in the hour. A construction outfit, firefighter, chicken hat and more, this guy clearly works hard for his $ and to make people laugh. I appreciate that as I watched him work the room while serving drinks. My server was very nice and my food came within 10 minutes. Food was good, not great. I ordered brisket with baked beans and sweet potato fries. Brisket didn't have much flavor to be honest which disappointing as I had the belief it would exceptional here in Nashville. So, will I be back? I'm not sure as I really need good quality food when traveling. I know I am at airport but I travel frequently and I know this restaurant can do better. I have had Pucketts on my list for a while. The opportunity arose while I was in the Nashville Airport on a layover. We were seated really quickly and greeted promptly. The sweet tea was refreshingly sweet! It's hard to find good sweet tea in an airport. We ordered fried pickles for an appetizer. The pickles were hot and breaded well. The sauce was a BBQ Chipotle Ranch that matched the pickles well. I came to Pucketts for BBQ and made a great choice with the BBQ platter. The portions were huge and I couldn't finish it all. The brisket looked over done but was surprisingly tender, smoky, and delicious. The pulled pork had a good smoked cherry wood flavor to it. There are 2 sauces: original and spicy. The original is very sweet like a Memphis style should be. The spicy really wasn't that spicy in my opinion but had more of a kick than the sweet. My sides included baked beans, slaw, and sweet potato fries. Baked beans were sweet with a little bit of pepper in it. The slaw was real sweet and creamy. Sweet potato fries were solid. I don't understand why Pucketts has a overall low rating but it's a solid four in my book. read more

I should have chose the restaurant across the way (get their old bay chips!) but this was right next to my gate. If you don't want to read the whole review to sum it up just go somewhere else. The hostess was rude and took a while to help me because she was talking with some of the other staff right in plain sight. The server was really nice and kind but she disappeared for a long time and it took a while to flag her down to get the check. The atmosphere was odd. I sat very close to where the live entertainment sets up. In this case it was a woman who was with a guitar (I don't remember her name) and she caused a big ruckus because her friend was there and there was a security issue and she kept saying loudly "I don't even want to be here". Not the best ambiance to eat a meal but it did provide some entertainment. The food was meh. I got the sweet tea (not good), I got the fried pickles (meh), and I got the 2 meat combo (brisket and pulled pork), and the slaw and sweet potato fries. Brisket was tender but that was the extent of what was good. The BBQ sauce was spicy and I wasn't a fan of that either. read more

The cinnamon roll, hamburgers and mac and cheese all looked good and will be our next pick when we fly thru here. I don't give 5 stars for airport food but this was an exception. Bartenders were very nice but there was an employees with his head and open mouth asleep on napkins in plain view. He would wake up and lift his head up and roll more silverware in napkins. Management and other employees saw this. I asked one employee how this was acceptable and she got mad at me and said she was NOT THE MANAGER so she couldn't do anything about it. I asked who the manager was and she pointed him out. The manager finally made the employee leave public view after I pointed it out. But he had seen him before I said anything and even moved a box from Beside him. All the while watching his hair and open mouth laying on napkins that were going to be given to diners. Do NOT eat here unless you have a layover with several hours of time! For an airport restaurant, the lack of urgency was astounding. We had about an hour before our flight at the gate right next to here and the staff took their dang time taking our order and then took over 30 minutes just to bring out our food. All we ordered was a plate of nachos and a BLT with a salad... barely any cooking even involved. We had about 10 minutes to scarf down our food and then had to ask for the check not once, not twice, but three times. The first time I asked was when the food came to avoid this situation. We ended up having to walk up to the waitstaff stand to ask. We didn't even have time to bag up the food we didn't get a chance to eat, they didn't bother to bring the box we asked for with the check. We ran off to just barely make our flight right next door. Wow, I had Puckett's down town a few days ago and loved it. I came here and probably the worst food I have ever tasted. Music city chicken - toast is burnt to a crisp, chicken was so dry, not moist as I had before. Bbq chicken, looked like they sliced a chicken breast in half and served it to me. I came in with high hopes, but honestly, my experience started off rocky the waitress wasn't the most attentive, and I didn't even want to stay for the food. But then the manager, Chaz Jackson, stepped in. He approached me with genuine care, listened to my concerns, and sincerely apologized. He personally offered to make my order himself and he truly turned things around. It's rare these days to encounter that level of professionalism and pride in service. Pucketts BNA - what happened to you? You started off so good when you were the big game on D concourse. The last 2.5 times I've been there, you have been a disappointment to the point that I now have to remember to grab food in C concourse before trekking over to where you are. The two previous times I've sat down to order, I waited 20-30 minutes for a simple breakfast. Those were both on days when you didn't have a lot of people on the restaurant and others that walked in after me got their food 10 minutes before me. Your service and kitchen are definitely lagging the other food options in BNA. Today while on a 2 hour layover in BNA (commercial pilot in uniform) your hostess (who was very polite!) said she couldn't seat me at a high top near the bar because it was a "bar" according to the bartender that is now on shift. Well never mind then. I'll just go get food at Pyramids, Swett's, or Prince's today and any other time I need to go to the D concourse. It's sad because I go right by your location 2-4 times a week. Maybe if you return to your previous service quality and have your leadership not give poor information to the frontline employees, I may consider stopping in again. I'm lucky enough that I don't cringe at the excessive prices of airport food since most of my working days are in airports. You used to be a place I recommended. Food was quite exceptional for the airport, and the prices aren't that crazy. Our server was on point and very sweet. Struck up a shirt conversation with her and she was very personable. Our food came out in little time, correct and hot and tasty. They had live entertainment and the atmosphere was very inviting. In fact once we sat down , more people came in, and soon it was packed in here. Located near D Gates with two very nice restaurants on either side. Waited 10 minutes for a server, despite one server saying she'd be right with but continued to walk by us. Another server said he'd get someone right away. Finally someone came over took our order, pimento cheese bites, came out faster than it took to order them. And as we were still eating she brought the bill. I then had to proceed to flag down a server every time I needed something and when I was ready to order, because no one was around to take my order. The meal itself was ok. The brisket was nice and fatty and very filling, and the Mac and cheese side was good, a little small. For the price point the meal was fine, but then, once again, I had to find someone to get my check and give my card to. Basically, service was abysmal, and food was fine. Puckett's is a local restaurant that started in Franklin TN. This one is located at Nashville Airport, in Terminal D (Southwest). They have a to Go and a Sit down area. This trip I decided to get their Skillet Cinnamon Bun from the to go stand, it was actually pretty good, the Butter Cream on top was perfect! It took around 5 minutes. I have eaten here before and the sit down breakfast menu is pretty good! Safe travels! read more
