This Publix is massive. Today is Thursday so I decided to open the app and make a list of bogo items I need. Publix does not allow pets however they do allow me when I put him in my doggie backpack.

I was only visiting Orlando when I went to this Publix. Friend of mine got at a job at Disney World. Asked me to drive from the northwest to Florida with him. BEING THE GOOD FRIEND THAT I IS.....I of course said yes. Actually, I was very happy to help him out. We did the drive and of course, shortly after arriving, we needed a grocery store. First, we went to Lucky Mart. Stay tuned for that review, haha! Second, Winn-Dixie. Again, good lordt, stay tuned hahaha! And thirdly (not a word, but TA-DAY! (In my oprah voice) IT IS A WORD! hahaha!) Thirdly, we found a Publix. My buddy used to live in Orlando years ago and spoke fondly of Publix. Most people who have a Publix almost always have nice things to say about the store and my visit to this one....I now understand why people speak nice of it. Compared to Winn-Dixie, this is night and day. Publix, although you may pay a few extra pennies, it's worth it. You shop where you're comfortable and I mean, c'mon, who doesn't love a perfectly laid out, clean, friendly grocery store? Walmart shoppers don't count. Usually when we, people, whomever goes into a Walmart, they don't give af about anything lol. We all know this to be true, too lol This Publix, again, laid out nicely, super clean, friendly staff, very helpful, shoppers were nice and clean, no Walmart types hahaha! I go to Walmart too! We all do! Some of us ONLY when it's absolutely necessary hahahaha! But we know it's a whole different breed of people in there and that usually makes it fun.....or frighteningly interesting? Lol Publix, I don't mean to compare you to them. I posted a meme on Facebook the other day and it had grocery stores in Florida and you were on it and was a good pic. Winn-Dixie, Whole Foods, Walmart were the other stores and it was "people grocery shopping in Florida be like...." it was funny. Anyway, if you live in Orlando, Florida, or any state where you're lucky enough to have a Publix, then you know it's a very pleasant experience. For us who live out west, we have Safeway, Albertsons etc...I mention them because Publix reminds me of Safeway. Again, you may pay a little more at Publix (like you would at Safeway or at Albertsons where you pay WAAAAAAY more! Ugh) but it's worth it to avoid all the "riff-raff" (old person saying lol). 2 things stood out for me at this particular Publix...2 things in the form of 2 human beings. Our cashier, an older guy, FUNNY. ASF! and the bagger, another older guy, also FUNNNNNYYYY ASF! They made my/our visit even better. They made it to where I wish I had them at my local grocery store and they made it to where my buddy will religiously shop there. These two guys were amazing. They reminded me of like those old school comedy duos..like Laurel and Hardy? Is that their name? I remember as a kid my parents talking about them and how funny they were. These guys would be amazing in a movie or tv show about 2 old guys who are best friends and who have the ability to make people laugh just by a simple face they'd make, hahaha! They have a dry sense of humor. Straight face, but had us rolling! Publix, you're LUCKY to have these two! Best employees at this store that I had the pleasure of coming across, talking to.. These two could work wonders for that AWFUL store and employees over at Goodings, haha! Anyway, I loved it here. Again, wish we had Publix in Idaho and wish these two old guys worked by me hahaha! When employees have an effect on people the way these 2 do/did, you know the store is doing something right. Thanks, Publix! And thanks for carrying reusable bags (I bought one) that bring awareness to Breast cancer. Thanks for reading my yelperererers! Cheers!

I am a proud frequenter of Publix deli-prepared foods. However, I have to say that I was disappointed with my most recent acquisition: the banana pudding. I have had banana pudding at Publix before, so I was unpleasantly surprised to find it watery and not worth finishing. I know you can do better, so it's only a 3 star review. Everything else was amazing per usual. Staff were friendly and engaging and helpful. :)

They are a grocery store but the emphasis here is on convenience. From the cut up fruit, extensive prepared foods, large butcher counter, liquor, snacks and a huge cheese selection this store is the antithesis of Walmart. An interesting fact is that Cencosud, a Chilean retail giant, owns 67 percent of The Fresh Market. This store has lots of beautiful plants and flowers at the entrance but lately seems like everything is crammed together. There is rarely a wait to checkout because they have plenty of helpful employees. Fresh Market does offer daily loss leaders like the Tuesday chicken breast and ground beef sale but generally their prices are not as competitive. They sell limited grocery items but presently have 3 aisles of candy including bulk Jelly Belly products and Dubai chocolate bars. Do not shop here when hangry. In the past I was a big fan of their deli salads, specials and weekly family meals. Shop before 6 pm to get a good selection in the deli. The TFM Bakery is very popular for their quality and they often have a sale where if you buy a pound of deli chicken salad you get 4 large croissants free. Lately I go to Costco instead of TFM because I can find a larger variety of items, their prepared foods are priced competitively and food is available until closing.

I ended up having a little cheat day and enjoyed a delicious soft serve with fresh strawberries -- it was so good! The staff members were very friendly, especially the cashier who helped me at the register. Her smile felt so genuine, and it honestly made me want to come back again. I even decided to pick up some peanut butter while I was there. The store was very clean and well organized, which made shopping comfortable and enjoyable. I shop at other grocery stores too, but this place is definitely becoming one of my favorites. You can also bring your own reusable bags, which is a nice bonus. The parking lot can be a little difficult on weekends, but overall I highly recommend this place!

This trip, though, there was absolutely no Disney involved -- and we finally stopped here on our way home Sunday morning. I feel like you know you're getting older when you get excited about grocery shopping. Normally when I go to Publix, I'm irritated before I even get inside. But this place? A completely different experience. Walking through and seeing all the locally grown vegetables and the meat selection -- clearly labeled as hormone-free and without all the extra junk you get at typical grocery stores -- was honestly mind-blowing. The prices were so reasonable I couldn't believe it. I purposely brought a cooler for the two-hour drive home, and even with everything I bought, I didn't spend over $100. If I had purchased the same items at Publix, I'm convinced I would've been close to (or over) $200. Beyond the prices, the quality and overall vibe made it so enjoyable. You're not breaking the bank feeding your family, and you feel good knowing you're getting better-quality food. The staff was incredibly sweet and genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs. I was looking for boneless chicken, and one of the employees asked if that's what I needed. A few minutes later, he came back with multiple packs in his hands to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. It was such a thoughtful gesture, and I really appreciated it. One thing to know: the produce and meat sections are in two separate, unconnected rooms, so you check out separately in each. And if you're still riding that high from all the money you saved, there's soft-serve ice cream outside with seating -- which just makes the experience even better. For someone who truly despises grocery shopping, this was actually fun. I will absolutely make a special trip to Orlando just to come back here -- and next time, I'm bringing a bigger cooler.

This is going to be a love letter to Sprouts because there are so many things that make shopping…read morethere enjoyable. There are ways to save and find deals which I will highlight. Pros - I was first attracted by Sprouts produce. It is fresh and diverse. It's a star so they put in back so you have to walk through the store. They put some of the produce in a cooler at night to keep it fresh. Some stores leave it out on tables but sprouts puts it in crates and wheels it back to the cooler. I like this attention to detail. Manager Specials. They have these all over the store including meat, dairy, produce and prepared food. It's like a treasure hunt. Sometimes it is close to the date other times who knows what the manager was thinking. Mark down meat and prepared food will have a yellow tag showing the before and current price. Specialty drinks - Coffees, teas and canned beverages. Plus no alcohol cocktails. In the coffee section they have grinders, so you can buy whole bean and grind it yourself in the automatic machines. They also have a beer and wine section. Clearance by the bathrooms and also markdown bakery near the case where you select your own pastries. They have a lot of vegan and gluten free items that are made fresh. They sometimes have bakery items to match the monthly sale. June was cherry month and all kinds of cherry related products. Samples. It is not a Costco situation where people are pushing and shoving. Just little sampling displays plus at peak times there is a small tiki bar has featured items and samples. They also have some cups by the checkouts. Friendly staff. They have people on the floor stocking and cashiers. They honestly listen and try to solve your question or problem. They have the same staff so it seems they try to retain their staff. They know me! Haha They have good sales, digital coupons and sometimes coupons will print on your receipt. In June 25 I got a paper coupon for $5 off $15 of produce and it even applied to sale items. Pro tip. I go in once a week and clip all the digital coupons even if I am not going to use it right away. Occasionally they have a digital that nets to a free item. You can also hook your Sprouts account to Ibotta by your telephone number at checkout. Then you don't have to scan the receipt. The two systems work together for automatic credit if you have the item rebates checked in Ibotta. They carry a lot of health items but have better prices than WFM. They carry organic and supplements as well as many items to meet your dietary needs. I found some holistic plant based cream when I had a rash on my eye that worked like a charm. It's BYOB. Bring your own bags!!!! They sell recyclable ones or will sell you a plastic one for 10 cents. Not that they are encouraging that but the 10 cent plastic bags are sturdy and can also be reused.
