I've been saying this for 30 years and I'm still staying it in 2026. If this chain came north, they will put all of the supermarkets out of business. They just do everything right, including having baggers and an adequate amount of checkout aisles open. Their bogos are phenomenal in that they have so many per week. I mean seriously they have anywhere from 10 to 20 burgers a week and it's all good stuff. Their meats are fantastic. Shoutout to our local community heroes! I had the honor of speaking to Chef Joshua in the meat department at the Publix Super Market at Moultrie Square. I needed his expertise in choosing the correct beef for beef stroganoff. I was so impressed by his knowledge and kindness as he even offered to cut the flank steak properly for me. I have a habit of cutting it the wrong way and basically making beef bubblegum! It was awesome to know that not only is he an excellent butcher, but he is an actual chef!!! Hats off to Publix for having the proper mindset to hire the most qualified talent to work in this venue! I only hope that all Publix markets have the same high standards. I went to Publix to order a specialty cake for my Husband's 55th birthday. I ordered it at the store. One of the baker associates helped me pick it out. $43.99 for a really nice size cake. The Oreo cake is double chocolate with chocolate icing. Edged with Oreo cookies. The baker even wrote on the cake for me. The flower bouquets were a beautiful addition to the centerpiece. Both the insurance company and my mother's doctor agreed it was an error and the pharmacist refused to help and acted like it was my mother's fault. The worst public I have visited. The produce department is consistently out of multiple items and the quality is horrible. The deli never had rotisserie chickens ready after 6pm, the soups are always pulled before 7pm. The store is definitely not run on the level of other Publix I've been to. read more

I've rarely ever seen the deli without a line, so when I did I took advantage. We were gearing up some groceries for our camping trip and the store was very well laid out and organized all throughout the aisles. The parking was very easily accesible even though I pulled up in an RV. There's something magical about Publix and this place embodies it. I called ahead of time to see if they had firewood and the staff member assured me of their inventory and even told me where to find it in the store in a very friendly tone. The produce section was organized and I picked a few tomatoes and squash that were perfectly arranged and ripe. The checkout lane was quick and efficient. This Publix had exactly what I was searching for (datil pepper hot sauce), and a couple of different options at that too. One thing I love about Publixes is the local/state food display they have at the end of an aisle; I found more hot sauces located there too. This store had all the usual Publix trappings: tidy merchandise, bright lighting, polite employees. This location oddly enough didn't seem to have self checkouts. That would've helped since the regular checkout lanes were all pretty busy. Hopefully they'll add some in the near future. read more

I thought this was a great Publix! This store was super clean and there was a great selection in each department. We especially liked the bakery, and their rolls were fresh and very good. Oh how I wish we had Publix in Michigan! I love this grocery chain! I'm not sure about prices compared to other stores, but they often have Buy One, Get One Free on many items. I'm all about that! They also have a pretty good craft beer selection. Maybe it's because I'm not a local, but I thought they had a good selection and variety. My favorite part of Publix is the deli. They have great sandwiches! You can pick up the pre-made sandwiches, or have them custom made. The bread and meat is great! When we visit, we usually pick up sandwiches for the beach. They're a pretty good size, so I could easily eat half and be satisfied. We've also had them made fresh and you can choose your bread. Staff is very friendly and the store is very clean. I'll keep wishing that Publix will come to Michigan some day! read more

This had been my go to Publix ever since I was a kid. It had never really changed until recently, when they did an entire makeover on the store. The layout is virtually the same, but they upgraded a lot of the aisles and items (Their organic selection is really impressive), and they really cleaned up and modernized the entire store. They even repaved the parking lot outside! This Publix has one of the best deli's out of all the local stores- friendly staff that are quick, but give you exactly what you're looking for, especially if you're stopping in for a sub at lunch time! The fresh fruit and seafood area is always clean, well-stocked, and offer up lots of great choices for dinner or snacks. I had to up my review due to the recent upgrades around the entire store, as I don't believe any Publix deserves less than four stars. After the new selections and cleanliness, this store has upped itself to one of the best in the city. The old people are still a problem, but I've learned you have to be a bit more aggressive and move quickly, and you can get them beat! Other than that, lovin' this Publix! read more

Busy day at Publix--- last minute thanksgiving shoppers are a hoot. We went to get our weekly order at the bakery. When we got there they had not made our order. BUT, they offered to bake our scones if we had 15 minutes to wait. We shopped and returned to fresh baked scones. Publix made it right and that is why we like shopping at Publix. Clean, new store, but the HORRIBLE PHARMACY is reason enough to avoid this location altogether. Rude staff. The head Pharmacist has implemented "his policy" that only prescriptions from local doctors will be filled at this pharmacy. That is Surely not approved by Publix Corporate Management. But according to him, Steven Mayhood, there are NO exceptions and he can refuse to fill prescriptions for anyone he choses. Umm, OK, good luck with that approach to customers. Nice store, haven't renovated yet like similar bigger versions found in nearby cities. Good selection and service. Parking is easy and not as busy as the one located north of this closer to town, so when in a pinch and need something quick, stop in and you're out just as quick. read more

The worst pharmacy ever! I have never seen such rude, lazy or incompetent people in my life. I recently moved from St. Augustine to Lake City. I needed a script refilled for my daughter and was planning to be back in St. Augustine so I called in my refill. I was told by Steve, the pharmacist, that they were out of the medication that I needed and wouldn't get in in for a few days. I was asked my daughter's date of birth, as per usual when filling prescriptions, as well as what the medication that was being filled. He told me I could just call in the script to the Lake City Publix and they could fill it without a problem, and that everything they needed was already in their computer system. I called in the script to the Publix in Lake City, and was told I needed a new signed letter of consent, even though it was a refill, because of my daughter's age, because it was not in the system. I called the St Augustine Publix to see if they could fax the letter they had on file, since Steve told me it wouldn't be a problem. As soon as he got on the phone with me he was already rude and defensive, saying that the consent was in a file in some back room of the store, and he was busy and couldn't be bothered to waste his time looking for it. I asked him why the letter wasn't in the computer system, since he told me that all Publix pharmacies share the same computer system, and I should have no problems. He then said, how was he supposed to know that this medication was supposed to need a consent letter, that it was my problem to know that. I told him I am not the pharmacist, he is, and he knew her age and the type of medicine being filled because he is the one who told me he didn't have any in stock. He then told me I was wasting his time and hung up on me. This is not the first time I have had a bad experience with this pharmacy. The technician, I'm not sure of her name, but she has an accent is also always very curt and rude. They act as if you are wasting their time. If you can't handle your job, and don't like working with the public, then find another line of work, and stop acting like your customers are inconveniencing you and wasting your time. read more

So disappointed with groceries in Florida (compared to NJ)-- everyone recommends Publix, and the store is bright, clean and well staffed with friendly helpful people. But the food is overpriced-- a fact I could overlook given that Publix is one of the best paying companies in the industry-- I don't mind paying a little more so people can earn a living wage. However combine the high prices with the low quality and variety makes this a big disappointment. In particular the produce wilts the day after it's purchased-- and I've tried every kind-- organic, non-organic, "fresh", bagged, boxed- none of it lasts. In NJ I could buy salad fixings and use them through the week- here I have to buy what I'll eat that day. The seafood department has very little to offer by way of variety- and almost nothing yummy pre-made. The sushi is stale tasting. The deli counter worker tried to let me "sample" a slice of raw pork roll (taylor ham)-- unbelievable that they wouldn't have trained everyone on handling meat that has to be cooked before consuming! I would love for a Shop Rite to come in-- I guess they're only on the east coast? I didn't know how good we had it till I came here. read more
