I used to love Publix. But now, I can hardly wait for the Walmart to be built near us. When I have to purchase from Publix, I always feel like I've been reamed. They typically charge about a dollar per item more than Walmart. But yesterday, I only picked up 3 items, and the price I paid was nearly $5 more than Walmart prices. The same three items at Walmart would have been $12.59 vs. $17.27 at Publix. Geez!!!! The only way to get a reasonable price on anything at Publix is with their BOGOs, but even that is not enough to make up for their price gouging on regularly priced products. Publix is only for the very rich people. Hurry up, Walmart!

I found a parking space under a tree in the parking lot between two cars that people were sleeping in with their windows partially rolled down which I found strange but I've heard this is a pretty common practice at Walmart for people that live in their vehicles that I wasn't aware of which is pretty sad. I guess I heard that over-night camping for RV's could be arranged at some Walmarts but didn't realize this service was available for the homeless - so if this is a service they provide it's an honorable gesture of sorts. I walked in and found this store hasn't aged well and if I had to assume that Walmart isn't the company it once was this would be an example of its decline. After looking down a few aisles I found the item I was looking for and proceeded to the self-check registers navigating through a lot of customers who appeared to be roaming the store aimlessly, it was almost as if they were here for the air conditioning, in essence a sanctuary verses a shopping trip. Prior to leaving the store I decided to use the restroom since I still had a few errands to run, this confirmed the lack of investment by Walmart to keep this property a viable asset that provides amenities for their loyal customers, in short it was disgusting and I made a quick U-turn after opening the restroom door the risk wasn't worth the convenience. It's probably been a few years since I visited a brick and mortar Walmart, it's has nothing to do with being pretentious it's just that beside groceries I shop online for most of my purchases so I rarely visit retail businesses for everyday items. I don't know if the condition of this Walmart is the exception or it's an accurate snapshot of how much this company has declined, hopefully this is not a typical representation of their properties but with a company of this magnitude it takes a major capital investment to renovate and update or do simple maintenance. I saw very few "associates" on the floor and had no reason to interact with any so I can't speak of the customer service here, but it seems "the struggle is real" for this company and although I may not agree with all their policies they do provide an essential service for many...

Walmart has a strict no animal policy. But every single time I go in I see this. It has to stop. And it's not just animals I feel the same way when you let grown teenagers sit in carts. It just has to stop. Rules are rules and it's gross.

Typical Walmart overall. I will say that the staff was decent and it had a nice amount of parking. Again, it is a Walmart. Don't set the bar too high and you won't be disappointed.

Best ever for $6+

Highly recommend this store! Prices, money talk! Store gets stocked fast and there's everything!

The selection of men's tropical shirts is really great, often bargains on clearance. Womens name-brand clothing is FL heat friendly. In the home section we discovered coastal-themed accessories for kitchen, patio, and dining. Clearance Tervis cups are perfect for my decor and never drip condensation! the value.

Walking in, the store is clean and well organized (kind of hard to find the Plus Size section, but frankly, that's pretty normal... they always hide us in the back). Departments were marked well, with ample signage, and sales were well advertised. Racks were clean and straight, there wasn't any mess in the walkways or overflowing tables of tee-shirts. It was a relaxing, stress-free, shopping experience. Even on an early Saturday morning, this store was not busy at all, which I prefer. Clothing definitely skews toward "Ladies Who Lunch in Florida," - you won't find anything super-trendy that your teenager would wear. This is for stylish mature women who live in FL and need to look amazing, put together, and cool, all at the same time. Clothing fabrications reflect those needs, too, with light and airy options that won't make us sweat (I shopped in April). Fitting rooms were nicely-sized, with a solid door (not a curtain), and a chair. One gripe... there were only two hooks for clothes (I like to have hooks for "Try On," "Buy," and "Put Back" options). Within the fitting room, but outside the individual stalls, was a three-way mirror so you could get a really good look at your outfit to make sure you'll look good coming AND going! As I said at the beginning, the check-out staff was what really dropped the quality of my experience. There was no employee at one counter, so I went to the other one, where there was one lady doing a return, and doing it *very* slowly... It took her probably 5 minutes to complete it AFTER I'd already gotten there, so who really knew how long it took from start to finish! I think it took 15 minutes for me to check out with my two simple items. However, even though she was slow, the cashier was extremely friendly, so a point in her favor! I like this location, and I like the clothing sold in this store, so I guess I just have to decide if the long wait to pay is worth the affordable stylish clothing?

I had a lot of great memories of buying candy at the dollar store, watching a movie, getting a slice of pizza, then blowing all my quarters at the arcade. The only stores that remain from that era at this mall are the JCPenney and Belk. Every other location has held restaurants, shops, stores, whatever you can think of, and come and gone. It has gotten better in recent years, however, as I can remember when there were literally 4 stores in the entire mall. Belk and Penney's are still anchors, but there's a nice flower shop, a hallmark store, and a Sears which have been there for a while. A church has taken over the area that used to be the movie theaters, and they seem to be doing really well- a LOT of cars pack that place on Sundays. I also noticed a sewing shop and GNC, so it's nice to see they're getting some tenants. Still a LONG way from the glory days of this mall, but they're hanging in there. Although it's clean, well-maintained, has some nice stores, and plenty of parking, I can't recommend this mall for a shopping excursion. Would definitely drive to Jax or Daytona for true mall shopping, but if you need something in a pinch, try the department stores here.

This is a good mall, although not much in there anymore. Since the theatres closed (even the Gator…read moreNole shop moved), it's mostly just nice to walk around in for a while unless you want to shop at Sears (recently took over Rex) or JCPenney or Belk. There's a hallmark and gnc there too. Blockbuster is actually in front of the mall, not actually inside. Decent mall but you won't find much here
