During our roadtrip, I brought the wrong shaving handle for my blade and needed a new one for our trip. Walgreens had the brand I like (Billie) and it was a good deal, $12 for a handle and two disposable blades. I also picked up some soda as well which was 2 for $3.50 for half a liter. The cashier was nice and quick with checking out. Overall, decent Walgreens but it doesn't have that typical Walgreens brightness to it. read more

This was my first time visiting this location and I only did because I wanted to fill a prescription. It was around New Years so not only was it really busy, the pharmacists were also busy engaging in the holiday spirit while customers were waiting on line. I am all for joy and I really do enjoy seeing people happy but not when people are held up by it for extended periods of time. We were regular visitors to St. Augustine at New Years but I always managed to take care of my scripts before we visited. This time, I was unable to. I had a paper script because it was a controlled substance. I did not think it would be an issue because they can easily verify with the DEA and all. I also do not have any flags under my name because I am not prescribed controlled substances on the regular. Anyway, when I was finally called up to the counter, I presented my paper prescription. After the pharmacist went into the system, she had questions regarding my provider and such. I informed her I do not reside in the area so she said she would have to call to confirm my provider wrote the script and so on. It was the weekend so of course my provider's office was closed. I informed the pharmacist of this, to which she told me the script would not be filled until it was confirmed. I had to take the script back, leave, and give up because it was the weekend and we would be back home by the time it does get confirmed. I had already tried another pharmacy prior to this, who would have filled it but they did not have the medication in stock. I felt defeated at this point, which is not Walgreens' fault. I guess the stress and exhaustion got the best of me. I fill scripts on a monthly basis due to type 1 diabetes so I am very familiar with process and also exhaustion due to the rare occasions things go smoothly. read more

Today I called the Walgreens Pharmacy at North Ponce de Leon. Stephanie the technician when I asked her to call my doctors office for my prescriptions refused to do so. Not what I would call good customer service or actually any customer service. And their muzak is still terrible and their mute button does not work. Where is that remote control???? read more

I have been going here for years. The pharmacy staff are hard working. Many years ago when I ran a hospice program, I contracted with them. Their service at the corporate level as well as store level across states were appreciated. The service at 2801 N. Ponce De Leon BLVD is excellent. The pharmacy staff take their time -- despite the high volume of care -- to speak with me. They go above and beyond. It isn't just filling prescriptions. They test and administer vaccines among many other tasks. read more

Whenever we are in St. Augustine, we usually find ourselves stopping at this Walgreens for one thing or another. We have always been able to locate what we are looking for at this Walgreens. The employees here have always been very kind, courteous, and very gracious. We visit St. Augustine a couple of times a year. This Walgreens is convenient to the hotel that we usually stay at. I have been customer for over 10+ yrs they are the worst pharmacy I ever had to work with. horrible customer service. I called my same monthly skrip in on Thursday at 4 pm was told be ready at 5:45 same day. now it's Friday at 11am still not ready and want me to wait in this corner they call waiting area with 8+ people during a pandemic. I will find another pharmacy that take my insurance. word to wise don't go to this store ever!!! read more

Went to CVS to get my flu shot and between filling out the papers, getting the shot and paying, it probably took 10 minutes at the absolute most. Went across the street with my boyfriend for him to get his flu shot here and it took a grand total of 45 minutes. They were not busy and were adequately staffed. They didn't seem to be in rush and totally wasted so much of our time. read more

I was there today and was blown away at the customer service I received from Stacy in the cosmetics section! I've been a customer there for over 3 years since I moved here and I always had a pleasant experience but Stacy went above and beyond by helping me select foundation for my skin color that I have trouble with. This is a pretty nice little drug store, conveniently located on the corner of US 1 and SR 16. This store is fairly new, and it offers up a lot more than just a pharmacy. They usually have pretty good deals on snacks, sodas, and bottled water. You can stock up on pretty much anything you'd need, especially for those on vacation in the area, complete with cheesy Florida trinkets. The pharmacy is pretty nice, good prices, and the entire staff of the store is friendly and helpful. This store would really be the best in the area if not for the 24 hour CVS across the street, but it's still a great place to do your shopping when you need to make a quick stop. I walked in the Cosmetic section couple weeks ago to look for make up and facial cleanser, I didn't know what to choose and a lady walked up to me and asked if she can help me out. Her name is Stacey. I can't believed that she knows so much about all kind of products they have, it tells me that she loves her job and cares for customers. I just came back yesterday and asked her to help me to find the right face cream because my skin got so dry now that I couldn't even put makeup on. I woke up this morning and my skin feels wonderful! When it's 8:30 am and you have 1item and the customers check out line is 8 people deep. Literally. Then the cashier states ' I thiiiiiink I MIGHT call someone , whilst starring at us periodically. I suppose she is a manager to make that decision . How UNprofessional.To make matter worse the manager in the red vest looked over at us and left.The cashier needs to take check out line 101. When you have a guest that has a complete and full cart of check out items you ,ummm, thiiiink you would use your brain and ring for help immediately, especially whilst help is readily available for you.
