I always stop here for a quick look through the MAC selection. This is one of the only ways to get MAC at a discount! Usually can find some great pieces and holiday collections. One offs are kept at the counter, so don't forget to check these! Brush sets are kept behind the counter or on display in the counter case. Store also carries some random good things like Tom Ford lippies and Bumble and bumble spray. Employees are usually fairly knowledgeable about all their products and always know what's new and hot. The Sales Associates are Wonderful! I have visited several times and Sandra is such a joy to talk to and so helpful! She is a true gem! Today when we visited we also had the pleasure of meeting Angel and she was so helpful and patient and made sure my Granddaughter found just the right shade of red lipstick. This is my second visit to the cosmetics store. I came back because there was a particular sales person who had on beautiful shoes that looked comfortable and she had the best smile, personality, and energy. This was about four months ago. But once I walked in, she recognized me right away as I did her. It's great when someone in customer service is happy to see you even if they've only encountered you one previous time before. There's great prices on men's Clinique products and when I'm in the area I like to go in and purchase something that I may be low on or see what's new in men's skincare. She as well as the other sales persons and management staff are very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. I like coming here and it's safe to say I'm a sucker for a great experience. Every lady out there loves MAC, Clinique, Origins and Estee Lauder products. And they love it even more when they walk into a store with all of these products discounted then discounted again with a 40 percent off the entire store sale (whoa). I started my Christmas shopping at the local Ulta. I found some Clinique products, but nothing small, nothing that was skin care (all gift sets were perfume), and definitely nothing affordable. I left Ulta with a small Burt's bees set (hand lotion and lip balm - $9) and super disappointed that I couldn't get more small stocking stuffers, that were high quality, for less money. Then I came here, because I googled for a cosmetics store in the normally disappointing outlet mall. Whoa. I walked in and I was not prepared for this.... 40 percent off .... ALL THE THINGS?? Sadly, no, ALMOST all of the things. The beloved Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum that was sold solomente, was one of the very few things that didn't get an extra discount.... sigh. HOWEVER, it WAS on sale if I bought it in a set. Hello! Okay! And then one of the helpful sales associates informed me that everything in the store was overstock sold by the Estee Lauder company directly -- this was actually an Estee Lauder store. And Estee Lauder owns MAC, Clinique and Origins. I was assured that none of these products were expired nor knockoffs. ... and massive sale on already discounted products... What kind of skin care lovers heaven did I walk into? First I found cute stocking stuffers of Clinique face wash and hand lotion for $6 a piece (normally priced at $12). And then I found these Clinique 3 step introduction kits (face wash, moisturizer and exfoliator) that I absolutely love (retail $20) -- I got them for $8. Whaaaat. But one of the best parts was an assemble your own sample bag. Normally, I'd walk past this because the samples are usually shit. But not so! For a whopping total of $10, you get a classy black makeup bag, choose a total of 6 samples and you could include up to 2 of the same samples. This sample collection included the very, very expensive Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Intensive Recovery Ampules (normally 60 capsules = $112). The sample version contains 10 ampules. You can get 2 (that would be $38). Then you can get two 0.5 ounce Day Wear moisturisers (would be $34 per 1 ounce). Add in a perfume sample and a mascara sample. Do you see why this blew my mind for $10?? Wow, what a fantastic stocking stuffer! So... I bought 4 sample bags. What they don't have is a huge variety of makeup selection. So if you want that favorite MAC lipstick, you might be SOL. There are some perfumes. Mainly, it's skincare products from Estee Lauder, Origins and Clinique. The ladies were very helpful when I asked for help on choosing a Clinique equivalent to something I loved in Estee Lauder. And showing me particularly good deals that I would not otherwise have noticed (like the sample bag thing). So I got a ton of high quality stocking stuffers and skin care sets for nearly nothing. What I bought would've been well over $800 if I got it at Macy's or Sephora. I spent a total of $250 and walked out with an impressive amount of high quality gifts. Never going to Ulta. Ever. Tried to call to confirm location before we drove up there and they don't even have an answering machine stating hours and location, just rings. Drove out there to find them closed. This was my first time at The Cosmetics Company. A friend brought me here bc he's been delighted with their friendly and helpful staff, prices and selection. We arrived 10 minutes before closing time to our embarrassment, Chris & Sandra were just as nice as can be, so thoughtful, knowledgeable and friendly. Both of them, not pushy, but ever so grateful and savvy, really a joy to work with. They weren't at all offended at our late arrival and took their time helping both of us with our purchases. I was about to purchase MAC prods I needed as I used to wear Mary Kay but I felt like I needed to leave and give another store my business. I used to frequent this store, and the ladies were all so nice. Three months ago, however, two of the ladies accused me of selling their products. I was actually buying them for a few friends, and also myself and family. And, yes, I was sending some items to a friend of mine in another state, which this store said they considered "selling". Oh, and yes, I sold whatever I did not want or like for myself. After all, this is a free Enterprise country. So, I was told I could only buy for myself, and my friends had to come in and buy their own items. I was also told by the manager she was tired of "foreigners coming in and fleecing their store of their items". Just this week, after waiting nearly three months, I returned and brought two of my dearest friends to this store, one who had never even been inside (both my friends are African American). Our plan was to load up on a few months of a few items, so I did not have to come back and feel accosted, for another three months. When my one friend went to make her purchases, the sales lady told her she "knew we were all together", and that we had reached our maximum limit. She spoke to her like we were unscrupulous, unworthy of her store. I bought four total items (two products), my one friend bought five total (two products), and this friend bought six items (two products): only one item was common to all of us, as I planned to stock up for a few months. I feel so embarrassed and frustrated, and hurt for my dear friend, who is a 63-year-old registered nurse and mother. I understand the policy of "no reselling", and am not an idiot. I am a retired US Navy Veteran, mother, and college graduate. I, however, am not on board with my friends or myself being treated like a criminal. The lack of respect shown to me is one thing, but giving my friend the run around and not respecting her, has me livid. If anyone in this country feels he or she is a true American, and not a "foreigner", he or she had better be a Native American Indian. Otherwise, even if you think your family came over on the Mayflower, YOU are a foreigner. America was built by immigrants, and I served to protect EVERYONE in the United States. I do not trust any of the sales persons in this store, except for Sandra, who seems to be the only genuine employee, and not a hypocrite. (There is another lady there, too, who is a straight shooter, but I don't know her name.) To me, it is not worth having my integrity challenged to save a few dollars any more at this store. I would rather drive to South Carolina, where the ladies at the Hilton Head store are super nice, as well as the Myrtle Beach stores, where they give exceptional, courteous service. read more

I will NEVER set foot in this store again-St. Augustine Outlet after April 21, 2019 around 3-4pm incident. I believe the only color you should ever see is green no matter the amount of it as non is too small. I wanted to try on some Mac lipstick and asked the sales per to sanitize for me. Which I took 4-5 to the counter area and walked back over to look at additional color which the area is maybe 10 steps away from the counter. Apparently a regular customer came up after me and this AA mid-late aged sales person with no name tag on left the counter and followed her to the front of the store. I later found out the sale person name was Sandra I watched in amazement and disbelief. The sales person Sandra then starts checking prices for this customer who she stopped to help. As well they are discussing what a cute dress this customer had on and if she has worn it in the store before. I walked up to the counter and said excuse me I'm still waiting on you to sanitize the lipstick so I can try on. So the other customer apologize and told the sales person Sandra to help me. As I shared with the customer it's not her fault that the sales person Sandra failed to share with her that she would be right with her as she was currently assisting another customer. It's just common courtesy, basic customer service stills and mutual respect for each customer as everyone should be treated as a VIP/Equal. The sales person Sandra pretended she forgot and she was looking to see if the lipsticks were in stock. Then when I stated you did not forget and I made her aware I know you understood what I asked of you.That told me it's the norm. The sales person Sandra continued to talk vs just immediately providing service recover knowing that she was rude and wrong. To add insult to injury the assistant manager Chris came out to defend the sales person in her wrong doing vs doing service recovery. I never threaten, raised my voice, nor used profanity, however stated that truth as I saw my reality. The assistant manager Chris stated that she wasn't going to argue with me. News flash stating facts is just that and not arguing and not your chance to brush my concerns off. This tells me the sales person does this and is supported by management with no consequences/training. There was no service recovery efforts by the assistant manager. When I asked for corporate number the assistant manager told me they don't give that out and I would need go to Facebook page for any concerns. Based on the assistant manager Chris response and attitude as if I could wait to received the lipsticks and/or move on. I waited for the items, tried on and left determined to never do business and to share my experience. I don't know who their Region/General and/or Store Manager is, however customer service is everything to me. I will not allow someone to disregard my concerns and/or me. I have customer service and the experience and/or how service recovery matters. Sandra the sales person and Chris the assistant store manager could certainly use training in diversity, general customer service skills, service recovery 101 and how to use opportunities to improve their responses in the future. read more
