Visiting from out of town and was trying to find some specific product. Megan the manager in the bakery was super helpful including calling another Publix to see if they had product. Customer service keeps people coming back. Publix and Megan offers that. read more

Publix is AMAZING no matter which location or what time of day I go. I came in here and of course I spent too much money but all of the items are of great quality so it's always worth the price. Ooh and the highlight of the experience was that they had my make donuts at the bakery FRESH!! I usually like the maple bar but anything with make and I'm in! The woman checking me out and the bagger were both very helpful and made the check out process smooth even with two baskets full of food. Thank you Publix for consistency and greatness no matter the state or location!! read more

I've never in my 41 years of shopping at Publix, have I ever experienced such a lack of a sense of urgency other than today at this location in the deli department. It felt like a slow motion picture. There had to of been no manager present as there was absolutely no communication going on. Everyone was just doing their own thing. Not the standards of the Publix I know and love. read more

Shout out to Publix! This was the only place that wasn't completely emptied out before last month's "super" snow storm event. Full shelves, very bright, clean and the deli here is no joke. Those kids from FL were not lying. This was my first trip here and it was purely a pantry, proteins, and produce buying trip. The prices here are a little on the high side, but the quality is there. My next visit here will be all about those dynamite looking sandwiches. read more

While this location isn't the most convenient, I can count on the same Publix quality and consistency. What I like: -weekly specials and BOGO -their deli subs are fantastic! -bakery items, fresh baked breads and specialty cakes -produce is consistently fresh read more

Just left Publix on the island the cashier was very rude did not speak or say thank you so I said have a good day no responsive from her any customer deserves courtesy read more

I used Publix's bakery as a cheap alternative to a super expensive wedding cake (my priorities were in the over the top Sanford Stadium groom's cake). The cake didn't quite live up to the simple Martha Stewart inspiration I brought in because I opted for butter cream frosting over fondant, but I was still pretty darn impressed with Publix's handy-work. I gave them my own unique oval baking pans and stencils to aid in the work. They gave me back the stencils unused (again, a fondant issue) and the pans cleaned out. What I wasn't impressed with was that they messed up my order and made it a completely white cake on the inside instead of one tier of red velvet and the other vanilla with raspberry filling! I didn't know this until we cut into the cake at our reception. That was quite a surprise! Although the baker (Evelyn) was absolutely wonderful to work with, messing up the cake flavors is kind of a big deal. They only charged me for the white cake and I think they should have offered to either discount it more or give us a free, small anniversary cake or something. Overall, for the price, you can't go wrong. Just quadruple check the order! read more

I went to buy some groceries and some chicken drumsticks, I was REALLY looking forward to the drumsticks because Publix always had the best chicken. The deli worker handed me the chicken and I put it in the cart went to the cashier to pay for it and drove home. Then when I was unpacking the groceries there was no drumsticks, extremely upset I called Publix and they said I wouldn't get a replacement or refund. I paid and got nothing, never shopping here again. Ps, I liked kfc's chicken more anyway read more

I love shopping at Publix for specialty items. They have an awesome bakery and deli, which I really love if I'm hosting a dinner party or company is coming over. They always have cookie cakes and other freshly made treats. And, of course, Publix subs are absolutely delicious. I don't come here for my weekly grocery shopping just because the prices are noticeably higher than other grocery stores. Maybe one day when I'm making the big bucks it will be my go-to, but for now I'll just stop by for pubsubs and cookie cakes. read more

I have shopped at Publix since they opened 2 different stores on the Island. Lately they have changed management which is not the best. Several items that I buy on a weekly basis have disappeared. I drink FIJI water and I now have to order it to be delivered to my home because the store isn't really keeping it in stock. Other items I just have to go to other stores to purchase. It's frustrating because the new management doesn't seem to care. I spend about $200 per week and it doesn't seem to make a difference that I'm not able to get my normal groceries. Right now I'm in a position where I fell in the cereal isle and really hurt my head and left knee due to the fact that there was a waxy sheet on the floor and I slipped on it. I also broke my sunglasses when I fell and the management didn't seem to care about my wellbeing. I'm at a loss as to what to. read more

This is the best supermarket in our area! The shopping experience is completely different than in any other store on the east side of savannah. Kroger and target are usually packed and leave us feeling stressed out and annoyed by the time we leave. Publix is not usually over crowded or crazy busy. The store is so clean, organized and the staff is very friendly! Publix runs good sales, they are actually more affordable than some other stores we used to shop at! The music is pleasant, the cashiers are great, the people who bag your groceries are great and they always offer to push your cart to your car and help you put your things in the car! We don't take them up on that offer but it's nice that they offer! We love shopping here, it is a completely different experience from the stressful and crazy busy stores sprinkled around savannah. Definitely recommend shopping here! read more

The bakery made my five year old's birthday cake dream come true with a custom design. The smile on his face was priceless!

This is the publix I do the majority of my grocery shopping at. It is always clean, well merchandised, and I never have to wait in line. Their produce and meat departments are always well staffed and the product is always fresh. This is not the best grocery store in savannah but I never leave frustrated or unhappy. read more

Extremely knowledgable staff. I told the young female pharmacist (I wish I knew her name so I could properly give her a shout out) about how I haven't been able to breath since I moved to savannah (about 2 months ago) and she quickly set me up on some over the counter mess that fixed me right up. Over all the store is clean, the staff is great and the sales are decent. I do all my shopping here now. read more

This Publix is on my way home although the other Publix on Wilmington Isl. is technically closer to my house. I think this one is better, slightly larger in size and easier to navigate overall. The employees are generally pleasant and helpful. I personally prefer this grocery store to all others in the area. read more

Good for a nice dinner date night out! Awesome cashiers! Foods a little more $$$$! But great quality products!

If there was a zero this would be eat. I'm a lifelong advertiser of publix, but this sub station in the back was the absolute slowest and worst experience I've had at a publix. The person working was nice and polite but obviously overwhelmed and did not seem to be happy. She forgot about my sub in the kitchen and burned it only to find out that was the last chicken tenders. So with lil children having meltdowns I had to wait about 13 minutes for chicken to cook and had to pay full price. If I hadn't of stopped her she would've wrapped up the sub with burnt bread, I had to stop her and told her it wouldn't be a good sub with burnt bread. Really??? We were on vacation and I will never be back to this publix again and with a wal mart super center opening behind my publix at home I may never be back again period. Unbelievable crappy experience that ended up making a long rainy day extremely disappointing. Publix really disappointed and made me pull my hair out!!!!! read more

This Publix is convienent if you live near east Highway 80. In my opinion, they need more bag boys or girls here. There never seems to be any except an elderly gentlman and woman, and I do not feel right asking them to take out my groceries due to their age. I see a great deal of staff in the back of the store area laughing and telling jokes. Perhaps some of these folks could make their way up front to help take out groceries. read more

I have always shopped here and have considered it the best place to shop as the people are friendly, the employees are always helpful and do their best to remember me and my family. Recently though, there has been an issue in the deli. Someone, and I really don't know who, but someone is labeling the fried chicken wrong. My family had been up early in the morning to help someone out and were starving so we dropped by, planning to get some fried chicken and sides, as we thought it was the best food for the night for a nice treat. Went in, grabbed two boxes labeled 'Fried chicken, 8 pieces'. Got the few other items we needed and paid for it then went home, smelling the amazing aroma all the way there. Come to find out, the chicken was actually 12 pieces of spicy wings. My mother is allergic to most things that are spicy so she couldn't eat it as well as my sister. I wouldn't have to the trouble of writing a review except I wanted to make sure people knew about it. If you plan on buying fried chicken from the deli at the Publix in the shopping center beside the CVS, makw sure the chicken is actually what you want before walking out and going all the way home. read more
