    Opening day! (store front)
    Yoonie L.

I went there for opening day and it was crowded in there obviously, but I was expecting that, but not so much that there was a line to get in. I am so excited that a second Aldi location has opened around this area, this time, across the street from Target on Abercorn which is so convenient, but I'm also in trouble now! In true Aldi Grand Opening fashion, they had staff walking around the store offering samples of various products and extra staff stocking and answering questions. The store was fully stocked with all of the items, especially what the Aldi Nerds call the "Aisle of Shame/Sh!t/Surprises" LOL. Found some flannel holiday sheets, holiday PJs, storybook and Nutcracker advent calendars for my kids in the AOS, so needless to say, I did good! The staff working the cash registers were very efficient in checking people out and extra staff on hand handing out carts with quarters already set up, flyers, reusable bags (usually on opening day, they give out reusable bags and paper bags free of charge) and the cute Aldi branded quarter holder keychains. - Heads Up - You need a quarter to check out their cart. This is so that you bring the carts back to the front and they don't have to hire someone to manage them and in turn, they pass the savings to you. You need your own reusable bags or be prepared to buy more reusable bags or pay for paper ones. Better for the environment. Aldi Finds: Marked with red tags. If you see something you like, buy it now because it's true when they say, here today, gone tomorrow. It's a special buy so that's all they have. Seasonal: self explanatory. I'm kinda miffed that my favorite cheese, Raclette, is in this category. Cut appropriately and the lowest price around! The holidays are fast approaching and they have tons of products in this category. My friend recently got me hooked on what looks like chocolate Pringles (no potatoes involved) because they are shaped like the chip! Comes in 3 flavors. As I visit Aldi more often, I'm finding more and more products I love, and the prices can't be beat on most of their items.

It has been five years since I shopped at an Aldi, so this new branch was an excuse to return. It is hit and miss with new inventory. I used to like some of the European options, but maybe due to the tariff situation it was less so. There are good deals with bread and some fruits and vegetables. I picked up some items from the deli selection as they have a variety of cheeses and dips. I also discovered some German chocolates and biscuits. I would not make a special trip, but it is certainly worth a visit if you are in the area as you might spot some novel items. There are an assortment of frozen meals and small selection of alcoholic beverages. This store is smaller than others out of this chain, but the aisles are wide and easy to navigate. If you have never been to an Aldi. Bring a quarter for a cart deposit and shopping bags unless you want to purchase them at the cashier. This location is in the same complex as Walmart and Verizon. Make sure to turn before you get onto the expressway.

I have friends that Love Aldi, so I thought I'd give it a try. Overall, a pleasant shopping experience, reasonable prices = money saved, bring your own shopping bags. The only item I thought overpriced was the $2 Aldi plastic shopping bag that is located at checkout. At the entrance, an employee was wiping down carts and handing off to entering customers during this Covid19 time. Some of my observations: *They sell much of their own brand so prices are very reasonable. *Shopping is easy with wide aisles and items easy to find. *Check out their "Aldi Finds" aisles that features deals of the week. These weekly featured items cover a variety of "finds" from toys, to outdoor cushions, to food items and everything in between. *While they don't have a large selection of cheeses, I did find some unique cheeses. I was surprised to see Cheese Curds that are typically non existent in the south. *Their small selection of beer included Holland, German and Belgium imports, as well as, domestic craft: Terrapin - Athens GA and a few others. *Wine? They have a small selection, too. You'll find whites, Rose, reds, sangria, and sparkling. Domestic wines and a few Italian imports. *They even carry a limited amount of garden supplies. I scored with a $5.99 garden watering wand!

I feel like every time I come here the check out line is always miles long. They don't have a "line starts here" so there are usually two lines, Then the employees tell one line to move to the other and it's just a mess. They are always stocking the groceries at the busiest time of the day making it even more crowded. It's like they only have 3 people working the entire store

I rolled the basket out the door as I left. Outside, I turned the basket over to a man in need of one. Instantly the cashier hurried out the door calling, "Anyone see that extra basket near the door????" As he looked at us, he realized I had given it to an arriving customer. The cashier then pulled the basket away from the new customer, and quickly LOCKED IT UP, stating loudly that "THIS BASKET WAS FOR THE REGISTER." He repeated his nonsense, as an excuse for actually taking the buggy away from the man, who looked confused and insulted. I apologized to the customer for embroiling him in such mess. Then I thought I should do it more loudly!! So I addressed the cashier thusly: "Are you kidding me????? You actually took the buggy from a customer to lock it up?????? (And Repeated.) The cashier trotted inside calling over his shoulder, "That buggy was FOR THE REGISTER!!!!" Over $0.25 that wasn't even product related!!!!!!!!!! How cold was that??????? How cold was that???????? Left the customer scrambling for 25 cents to go in and give them MORE MONEY???????? Skinny, young guy with long, dark, curly hair and glasses. Hummmmmmph.

The store is pretty large with a very expensive fresh produce and fresh meat section, but the highlight is definitely the fish market. They have a ton of variety and will prep fillets or cut the fish in any practical way you can come up with. And service is top notch across the store and especially in the fish market. The best part about the store is the small café adjacent to the seafood market that serves Boba crispy pork belly and crispy duck! I just recently relocated to Savannah and was disappointed to find a lack of Boba shops in the area, so I'm definitely excited about finding this one. We will definitely be frequenting this store for a lot of our fresh produce fresh, fish, and our Boba fix.

They have a wide variety of everything from produce, fruits and vegetables to there meat and seafood department. I see that they also have the additional coffee area, which is great. They even have the market in the back, which has a lot of regular household items that you may need like sodas, cleaning products and every day items. The only thing that is a bit concerning for me, is the coffee shop area is right next to the seafood area and the seafood smells are very very strong at times. At times making it a little intimidating when wanting to purchase fresh coffee or food items right next-door at the coffee shop. But overall, I think it's a really great market. Sometimes the customer service can be a little scarce, I'm not sure if this is because there's somewhat of a language barrier at times depending on the available employees; as they are not always the friendliest. The prices are very reasonable. I generally have no problems finding a parking space and I am able to get in and out within a few minutes.
