Im from Florida so Publix is my jam. I have been going to Publix for my entire life. I love me some Publix. The thing with Publix is though, that they are NOT all alike. Depending on the area and the market, different stores will carry different products. Also...some Publixes are friendlier than others. The Good: Again...I'm from Florida...and this is by FAR the friendliest Publix I have ever been too. Staff are always greeting you and asking you if you need help. It's crazy. In Florida (at least in Broward county where I'm from) they staff will do their best to avoid you and God-forbid you ask one of them to stop breading raw chicken and scoop you out a couple potatoe wedges...anyway that's not a problem here. Everyone wants to help and everyone has a good attitude. That goes a pretty long way with me. The Bad: They seem to keep their products pretty well stocked, but it seems like their selection is "fair to moderate" at best. Although this could be a regional thin because I have notices this in some other local grocery stores as well. I can tell you this though, their produce is fine as long as its the same ol same ol (broccoli, potatoes, etc). Get a little more "eccentric" though and it usually is slim pickings. I have yet to find some nice firm kale there or some fresh carrots with the greens on top thats not a bag of carrots that looks like it was kicked down the aisle. The seafood selection also is definitely not the best. In fact, I almost always go to a local competitor chain for better prices and way better selection. However this place I am referring to has basically zero customer service. And a bar next to the meat section oddly enough... Summary: Anyway, this is your place for service and decent prices. Plus they accept competitors coupons! So get in there and see for yourself. It may just be a one-stop-shop fo

It's... just another grocery store. I heard people raving about Publix, so I was excited, and along with picking up a couple of things wanted to check out their offerings, find some interesting stuff. But it's pretty much like any other chain. Not huge, as I expected; standard chain grocery size. And standard offerings in terms of brands. A few variations here and there, but meh. Got some of their root beer, which is good, not great. Checked out the bakery and was unimpressed. Got a few snacks, nothing amazing. Prices are decent. Service was good. But color me unimpressed.

Publix gets high marks from me for customer service. Employees seem more than employees in uniform, more like guides or helpers. Certainly not sullen or listless. They actively went to ensure you have a good experience. Even ask if you want them to take your groceries to the car. Old skool service. Now for the groceries. They have food demos. Nice. A lady was making chocolate peanut butter cookies. She was a tiny bit condescending but oh well. Everyone else bent over backwards to be helpful. Now I really loved the exotic fruits section. Fresh raspberries were , hold up...1.99. Whoah now! Some is their organic own brand items have ingredients that I would prefer to be absent. Their store brand animal crackers are a kick back to childhood.

Alright. I'm a bit fan of Publix and really hope to have one closer to me one day. I was out in Raleigh doing some errands and had the choice to get some produce from either Food Lion or Publix..... Publix, d'oh! I always get so excited going into a Publix because they aren't as common and the inside of a Publix is so very aesthetically pleasing. I have never been in one that's run down or looks like it was converted from something else. Immediately as I entered I was greeted and all throughout my trip I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. It wasn't too excessive, I actually appreciated each interaction because the staff genuinely seemed to be warm hearted about it. There's something about how friendly everyone was. I appreciate how management picks out staff that fits this mold and ensures their workers aren't lazy or unmotivated, or couldn't be bothered, as I've encountered this in many other markets. I was impressed to find my organic needs here, though it would be nice to have even more options! The produce was on point, everything was perfectly packaged and there was also a sign that read that if you needed less of something that is shrink wrapped, you should let them know abs they can happily accommodate - thought that was cool! Their aisles were spot on clean and boy, it's just altogether an OCD persons dream to see everything so put together nicely. What I also love about Publix is that you're not forced to sign up for a card to get deals. Everyone gets every day deals on products, regardless. You can however sign up on the website to receive $5/$10 off coupons, which are extremely helpful if you frequent the store enough. I'm a huge fan! Publix is far superior to most all grocery stories and when I have a choice, I'll always go here! Maybe if they up the organic game, I'll go here more than Whole Foods! :)

a sub sandwich with meat, lettuce, and cheese

Husband grabbed a few subs on his way home from work. Apparently there is a cheese shortage.

The mother load of Kombucha!! I've never seen so much in my life!

Well, if you know you know. And I could end my review there but you opened my review up to read…read moresooooooo ... F what you know about grocery stores because Wegmans is the King of High End Grocery. I'll immediately tell you that my star bump is because of cost and no dining at this location ("trust me bro", that's not really a major deciding factor). I've been to locations that offer up dining and amazing draft beer options, and costs at Wegmans aren't for the faint of heart but, in my Jim Carey voice, "lemme tell you somethinnnnn" ... their options will appease all types of food diets. Hands down, they have the BEST sushi options around. Fresh rolls, fresh sashimi, fresh nigiri ... the freshest and best you'll get at a non-Asian grocery store. Now you'll pay close to restaurant prices but it's well worth it. That is why I keep coming back to this location. And for beer and wine snobs, they got yo butt covered! I'd say 10-15% of the store is just wine and beer. Domestic and Foreign, as well as local. Gluten free brats, eat your heart out! I wandered down the gluten free aisle and got me some goodies! Gluten free Oreos and cereal . Wegmans brand is like a top tier option from Publix brand. And that's saying a lot, considering Publix brand is a galaxy away from Kroger brand. There are so many savory options here, including all the buffet stations. Listen, I just left here for my 5th time in (out of town but visiting for work) and will need to stop my review before my tummy forces me back there. Those in the know ... you're lucky to have this as an option here. Those out of the loop ... get some!!

It's better than Publix or Kroger, with a laid-back vibe like H.E.B or Whole Foods. They make many in-house items, fresh bread, desserts, marinated meats, and ready-to-eat meals, everything feels fresh and special. They also have a great range of organics and specialty items, perfect for dietary needs or healthy options. The staff is friendly, the store is clean, and shopping is easy and relaxed. With a bakery, international goodies, and prepared foods! Next time im looking forward to getting a Sando, heard they were to die for!

Holy cow. Have made some middle eastern friends and have started with some Jordanian recipes. This…read moreplace has everything you need. Staff is very friendly and their bakery is spectacular. Buy some pillow soft pita and throw it in the freezer. Going to make the trip from Chattanooga once a month. Well worth the drive

Another place that is a long time regular family favorite that I have never reviewed. Way over due…read more I never realized how lucky we are in Raleigh to have so many good Arabic bakeries until I tried looking for them in bigger cities (Atlanta, Philly, D.C.) that are apparently completely bereft of good Arabic groceries. Jerusalem Bakery & Grocery has most of what you need for cooking Arabic food I will say flat out its the best pita bread on the east coast. When i visited other cities family there would ask me to bring pita bread when I came. The meat, cheese and spinach pies are fantastic. The cheese pies are my personal favorites. The family that owns this place is really nice, and will be even more pleased and solicitous if you show a genuine appreciation for their food. Oh, and they have a dessert that I can never remember the name of, but which is also wonderful and difficult to find - it's the one made of filo dough with cheese inside and attar (the sweet sticky sauce) on top. I have yet to see it anywhere else in the U.S, and they do a good job of it. Like many bakeries, they bake early in the morning and sell until its gone. So best selection and quantity is going to be in the mornings. For the visit on Jan 7, 2025, I got 3 meat pies, 12 cheese pies, 4 pita bread bags, and 1 sesame date cookie package which is also a favorite of mine. Total $51.14. An important pro tip is that the pies and pita bread all freeze great. so go ahead and eat 1 pie while its warm, because it likely will be, and then quickly freeze the rest. Then, warm it up in a toaster oven.
