As for the employees, they're extremely friend and nice. As for groceries they have a rather large and diverse selection other than produce. The mushroom selection is sparse. Want to pick up some woodear, loose shiitake, Oyster, Enoki, etc? Not here my dear, although they do have shitake packaged. I've hunted for exotic fruits such as dragon fruit, Buddha's hand, Star fruit etc but they don't carry it. Otherwise they carry the standard fair which is more in bulk than variety. I will say I'm impressed with the seafood selection. Scanning the isle and see mahi, grouper, catfish (yuck), salmon, etc. I bought the mahi and it was very good, not old or stale at all. The best thing, is this is just a small portion of what they have. As for beef, lamb, chicken etc no need to spend to much time as they have the best selection I've seen in a store. Chances are they have what you need. My overall assessment of Harris Teeter is it works well for it's target group, middle class NC families looking for good prices on food that is pretty standard with having some "elegances" spread out enough to allow those who are adventurous to try something new. The shelves are well stocked, the environment clean and safe, and house made items such as breads, tortillas, soups, etc are very well crafted.

My visit to Compare Supermarkets made me Purrrrr. They have the best produce of any other supermarket around. Mounds of it, fresh, clean and great prices. I have NEVER not once in all my cities and travels been to a Walmart where the many registers were actually open and complete with a cashier. We entered with the thought you have every-time you enter a Walmart "I'm going to have to wait in line" or " What foolishness will I see today" BUT NOT TODAY and NOT at this Walmart ( could've been our lucky day, so it's their lucky day because I'm going to write about this pleasure).. This was our first time visiting this Walmart and only visited because our daughter was having dinner with friends in the area and we needed to burn some time while she ate. I can't say enough about the pleasure it was to visit this Walmart from the pharmacy to the cashiers to the exit. We stopped at the Pharmacy to ask about saline solution for babies and they are so quick to assist and acknowledge our presence. Overall a great experience so THUMBS UP!

After 2 hours of waiting I talked to the service manager about how much longer? And 5 minutes after that, my car was suddenly in the bay. Like they forgot about it. Waited 2.5 hours for a tire change. Just to find out they weren't even able to do the tire change because they don't carry the lug nuts for the tire? Huge waste of my day. Manager said there were appointments scheduled before they could work on my car but the bay was consistently empty and no customers waiting. I checked every 15 minutes or so to see if my car was even yet. Thank god for discount tire who fixed the issue in 5 minutes and for free. Huge waste of my time.. do better. $80 spent for a new tire in my trunk and my spare put back on. Avoid this walmart auto center. Walmart auto center, Monroe Nc. It appears, since I have done this review on 4/20, 2026, my comment/review has been deleted by Walmart or who ever controls the page. Once they finally do get to you the cashier acts like they are the fastest checkers in the east as they throw your groceries 1 by 1 in the bottom of the buggy. I'm a twice a week shopper at Aldi, but this changed Saturday when I walked out without my buggy of groceries. Store is heavily shopped and a bit nasty. No emphasis on sweeping and mopping,especially in produce. Back to Food Lion. Food Lion will get you in and out quickly.
