Fantastic store and manager. Ben was great in helping with our teacher appreciation day at a local elementary school.

No kidding.... I can walk around this whole store and no one speaks to me. No greeting whatsoever! The self checkout attendants act like it's a job to do the job they're getting paid to do which is greet people and assist where assistance is needed. Fort Mill Publix is leading the way because since moving to North Carolina I'm not impressed with the level of customer service. I do not recommend we spend our money at location that doesn't value our business! read more

This location isn't the Publix closest to me but I usually stop by when I'm in the area. I stopped by last night, 11-16-21. The store is always clean. I can always count on finding either products or flavors that you don't usually see everywhere, including Harris Teeter. I saw this same juice beverage at a competitor's store off Providence Rd, but they only had the 52 oz size. This gave me an opportunity to sample a new flavor without fully committing to it. read more

I have been here a few times and they are consistent.This store is clean and the staff are very friendly. They have a shared parking lot and you can always find a spot. They have some great deals. The shelves are fully stocked and the items are fresh. It's well lit and they great deals. I definitely recommend and will be back. read more

Really enjoy this Publix store. They carry a fantastic variety of food and always have fully stocked shelves. They have some terrific precooked foods that are absolutely delicious. The staff are extremely welcoming, polite and friendly --quite the contrast to competing grocery stores in the area. Publix feels somewhat overpriced in comparison, though I love how they don't play games with their pricing and annoying loyalty cards. Tons of parking in the lot, cafe inside with an incredible dessert selection, and clean, airy feel to the store. Always a great experience. read more

Completely disappointed with the deli market. Came for a quick sub, and waited in line for 30 minutes. Only one person ahead, figured you guys were maybe short staffed. I get it, times are rough. But when it was finally my turn, I ordered and none of the deli meat was cut, went to my second option, same thing. Lady said she could go and cut some but it's be another 10-15 minutes. Which means that I would be waiting almost an hr for half a sub? So inconsiderate of peoples time. Either close the deli for prep or start telling people that the expected time will be A LOT longer. I don't even write reviews but this truly left such a sour taste in my mouth and I didn't even get eat. read more

I don't usually feel particularly strong feelings about grocery stores-- but I LOVE this Publix! It's so clean and bright, the employees are happy, helpful and friendly and they have a great selection of groceries and produce. The thing I love most about this place though is that they routinely clean/grease their cart wheels which makes every cart so smooth and easy to push around. I never knew shopping carts could make me so happy! Also-- it is better organized than the nearby Harris Teeter and is much more intuitive. They are doing a great job (and price match!) read more

I'm just so disappointed by this publix. I placed an online order for subs. I arrived at stated time. The lady was kind but apologized saying that she was "behind schedule" even though no one is in line. This is at 3pm on a weekend, not a game day. She asks me to go shopping. I actually didnt need to buy anything else. Then she proceeds to mess up my order. She didnt realize it, I had to point it out to her. She was kind through it all. But still. I get my subs after 45 minutes of waiting. 45! Then I stand in line to go check out. it's super slow and the check out staff are kind as well, but just very inexperienced. read more

This store is always bright and clean. Great produce and tasty bakery items. They carry a good selection of international food items. The prices are cheaper than Harris Teeter and often the same or better than Walmart. The carts always push straight, which is not the case in many other stores. The customer service is incredible! Multiple employees talk to you as you move through the store and they will always help you find items. They will carry your groceries out and load the car for you! There is no tipping allowed and they will give you a coupon-usually for something free. You can't beat the service. Shopping really is a pleasure here! read more

Put on your pretentious looking beret and roll up in here in your BMW and with your Starbucks latte and snob it up! This grocery store has all the snootery of a Whole Foods, but the massive big-box styling and selection of the Teeter across the street. This grocery, unlike it's Teeter-ific competitor, has a big focus on their prepared foods. With their cafe like area that serves a ton of freshly made food that you can sit and eat right there or take home to dine at your leisure, they have a strong focus on showing off their competitive difference. Unlike Teeter however, there is an obvious focus on the Publix service, as the folks that work here are relentlessly helpful, cheery, and need to take chill-pills, it's just a box of cookies, dude. Overall their price and value is about on par with Harris Teeter. Some items are more expensive, others are less, but no matter how you dice it, it's expensive. If you do happen to do your weekly shop here, take them up on their offer to take the groceries out to your car. Often times the workers who assist you with that give you coupons, or gift card type things that can be real winners. If you're a Teeter faithful, you owe it to yourself to give it a try and actually opt for some of the Publix brand stuff. Hopefully it will be as eye opening for you as it was for me as far as how blah Teeter food actually is. read more

I am thoroughly impressed with Publix. The produce is always fresh and gorgeous, their seafood selection is (locally) unrivaled, they have an outstanding selection of meats (including organic chicken and grass fed beef). Best steaks in the area! We have varied dietary needs in my household so finding everything that I need in one store is impossible at most stores, but not at Publix! Service is always friendly and attentive. The people that work there genuinely seem to live their jobs and that makes for an even better customer experience. I have a HT within a mile of my home, but I happily drive right past it and go several extra miles to shop at Publix instead. read more

We purchased 3lbs of snow crab clusters 2 days before thanksgiving and kept them refrigerated and on ice for our thanksgiving meal. Half of them smelled of ammonia when we served them for dinner. That has never happened us before. We threw most out before we realized we should take what was left back to Publix to let them know that they are not selling the freshest seafood. The manager on duty turned me away, refusing any kind of customer service or refund because in her opinion crab is expensive and I should have prepared the crab the same day I purchased so it's my fault it went bad. On the rare occasion quality control issue ever occurs at Harris Teeter a refund is issued and an apology is given and every effort is made to correct the matter. Point is, shop at Harris Teeter. Publix does not care about their customers. read more

The store looks great - that's the first thing you notice. Samples everywhere (that may go away once the store isn't so new anymore, who knows), nice displays, happy friendly helpful employees galore. So - Harris Teeter or Publix? After two visits to Publix it's a hard call and I'll probably just go wherever is closer. Product lineup seems to be roughly the same, Harris Teeter has a bigger organic produce section but Publix is almost as good. Publix seems to have far lower prices for some organic products like Organic Valley milk and Applegate meats. Other items seem more expensive, so it may even out. Harris Teeter also just lowered its prices on many items, probably because of the Publix competition. I'm sure we somehow pay for all the samples and the abundance of staff at Publix, too. One definitve plus for Publix is that they don't have a customer loyalty card. What a scam those are, I'm very happy I don't have to deal with one when I go there. read more

Great way to make a mark in NC! Great location, the store is beautiful!! I live in Miami and was visiting NC and was very pleased to find a Publix. The staff was extremely courteous, especially in the Deli. I appreciate that everything was very clean and organized. The management team should be proud that they have a great team to really represent what Publix is all about. For those complaining about coupons, you should definitely look into the great deals Publix has on a daily basis. Also, you can't compare the quality of products in Publix than any other chain. read more

The variety here is amazing and lets not forget that the customer service is superior to any other market in the area. Where else can you get fresh sushi at moderate prices in a supermarket . Already not so impressed. The prices are even higher than Harris Teeter (that's hard to do). Of course everyone was friendly because they just opened but I don't think that will last forever. They denied our competitor coupon that any other store would have gladly taken, you have to load everything on the belt yourself and they close at 10-really?!? Really makes me miss Bilo and want to shop at Teeter more than ever. There bread had a bad after taste and there brand name foods were just ok. On the other hand they do seem to have some good preprepared speciality items. There coming into a hard market. read more

Ok, so yes publix can be on the more expensive side - that being said I use the online app for coupons. And shop sales and it's nice. And they Still cheaper and more friendly than HT. The publix dairy brand is impressive, they have my family's favorite yogurt & ice cream. I enjoy their fresh fruit and veggies. And blue apron samples with easy to follow recipes and shopping lists are nice. Overall I love to shop at publix! read more

Great supermarket. The produce isn't bad with a decent amount of organic even. Well lit and always pleasant going in. The staff is always friendly and overly helpful but not in an annoying way. I love that they are always armed with coupons! I've never had a deli sandwich but everyone I know who has raves about them! First time at Publix because I'm a Harris Teeter girl, the store is beautiful, love the set up. Excellent, incredible, wonderful, outstanding and any other nice word you can think of customer service. Hands down the best customer service I've ever experienced at a grocery store. Nothing like Harris Teeter, they treat you like they are doing you a favor. I went to this Publix Friday around noon, wanted to compare it to my Harris Teeter, so that after non I went to my store, seriously the customer service stinks like no body's business. They rarely acknowledge you, even the managers. They were busy talking about what they were going to do when they got off could careless that I was even there buying groceries. Their attitudes are so sorry the only time they would realize something is going on is when they lose out on their paychecks. It's a shame, any way back to Publix a beautiful place, great customer service, the deli and bakery super nice. The only issue I had was the deli was slow. I was the only one in line getting something and they wasn't prepared, I waited about 15 minutes or so. Generally speaking, the store is pretty good. However, this review focuses on the deli department. Over the past 6 months, I have placed 6 different online orders for deli sandwiches, which for some reason require a 30-40 minute pickup time, and only once out of 6 times has my order been ready on time. 2 of the 6 times they hadn't even started working on my order yet. They're either understaffed, not trained properly, or incompetent... all of which are unacceptable. How is it that Subway can make a sub in less than 5 minutes or Jimmy Johns can make and deliver in 15-20 minutes, but Publix needs the better part of an hour to make a sandwich. A while ago, I checked out this Publix (my first ever venture into a Publix grocery store. Friends raved about the subs, so I decided to try one. It was absolutely delicious...until I bit into a large piece of PLASTIC that was baked into my bread and almost choked! I complained to the store and to corporate and was promised a gift card for my troubles and never received it. I went into the store and they had no clue about it, didn't look into it and sent me on my way. I'm not sure why they offered it to me in the first place, but if that's how they do business (promising something and not following through), I don't want to shop with them. I was very disappointed and I could've sued, but I was nice about it. read more

One of the best Publix locations I have shopped. The store is very clean, well organized, wide aisles and good lighting. They have a great all around selection of groceries. The staff is very friendly and often offers to help take your groceries to your car. I love the pricing and quality of the Publix brand dairy products like milk, cheese, yogurt and ice cream. The produce department is well stocked and they usually run promotions on beef. The only complaint I have is they often carry 2 month old beer from local breweries which is crazy they stock old beer from breweries less than 10 miles away. read more

Just moved here from CA and was worried I would miss my market. So excited about my neighborhood Publix. This is the only store I shop. It is so nice and clean and they have my specialty raw drink and everything i need every time. I don't think much of public at all. The one in clemmons , nc opened. I had heard all this hipe about publix. So after about 2 weeks, I went there, about 10 am one mourning. I go in, get a cart, I look around, I don't see anyone! I then go over to produce, look at prices. Not impressed. Prices are not lower, produce looked so so. I then finally see an older couple. I then turn the corner. An employee, wearing a butchers type coat walks towards me, totally ignores me. Didn't even acknowledge my presence. Where's my friendly "hi". I couldn't believe it. There was no one in the store except the couple. I see the prices are actually higher. I immediately leave. Did not buy a thing, did not like the feeling. Bad vibe. Then went to my trusty, friendly, nice Harris teeter, which was full of happy shoppers. Will never go to publix again. read more

Here's the thing. The store looks great. It should since it's new. My biggest gripe is that the plastic bags for the fruit and veggies is just too small. Difficult to fit 6 large apples. I grew up going to Publix in Florida. When they opened in Matthews I was thrilled. The service is excellent and we have found they beat other stores prices. Their fish counter is excellent, sushi is delicious and fresh meat counter is unbeatable. Their staff is amazing. Helpful and friendly. I am a Publix shopper for life! read more
