I had never been here and there is one close to my new home location and I checked it out. LOVE THIS MARKET! I think much better than Aldi I love all the specialty food candies and more. The frozen section is plentiful with so many kinds of foods and international options too. Many cookies and candies from all over so many goodies. The fresh baked goods did you hear FRESG baked goods and breads so many options to choose from. Plus take away items like pizza bread and others. Great sales and an APP that gives discounts and shows weekly sales. Staff is friendly and helpful I like that you can check out with a person or on your own but staff are there to help. Good pricing overall and affordable for what you are seeing on the shelves. I go weekly and really enjoy and recommend this market chain if in your area check it out. read more

Preface: I love Aldi, Lidl, and TJs! I wanted to leave 4 stars, but I took one away because the customer service experience I had. I came to see if any items were marked down and the store did not disappoint! Leg quarters of chicken were 30% off. I found 1 pack of ground lamb for $1.50! Can you say gyro bowl?!? I saw firepits for 19.99! If I didn't habe one I would have gotten one. I love the variety of items here! My issue came when I checked out. The machine kept malfunctioning. The sole cashier had to keep coming over. I decided to go to her lane. She suspended my transaction and bought it over but didnt tell me. After her final sigh, I stood up for myself and said "I'm causing all of these frustrations for you, maybe I should not have come and spend money here today!" She actually loosened up after that and got better. I know ill keep shopping at Lidl, but maybe not as much at this location. read more

This had become my go to little Super Market when I just need basic grocery at a great price during the week. This is not a replacement for HT or Publix because you will not be able to get lots of major brands here. It's also a self- service grocery store so be prepared to bag your own groceries. Here are the reasons that make me love this store: 1. Non GMO cheese imported from Europe for half the price of cheeses at HT. Who would not love a slice of French Brie for $2.99? 2. Pasture raised eggs are $2 less per dozen than at HT. 3. There are authentic brats imported from Germany. 4. Vegetables prices here are unbelievable. 5. Meats sold here are hormone free, non GMO and free range. The price can't be beat either. 6. Bakery baked much better baguette and croissants than HT So if you want to save a little money between your trip to HT and Costco, this is a great store. They have improved greatly over the past year. Great prices with unique products to break up the monotony of discount food stores. Who else sells monkfish or Branzino at lower prices? If you're looking for "name brands" it might not be your place. If your looking for good food at good prices it is. If you can cook, you can eat very well for low prices. read more

What a wacky little place. Really it's just like Aldi but I would say a tad better. The first thing I noticed was you did NOT need a quarter to get a shopping cart. I was already impressed with this as I usually do not have a quarter when I need one. Then you walk in and they have a whole bakery to the left. It's also grab and go and super easy. Everything looked pretty fresh and yummy. I walked down each isle and they have a large selection on a lot of main staples for fridge, freezer, and pantry. They also have some items you can't find in a normal grocery store. The seasonal isle is cool and they have a variety of things for every member of the household including pets. The store was very clean and shelves were stocked and neat. This makes for easy shopping. I would def come back here. Oh they also have a rewards program and you get $5 off your first $30. read more

Some of the items available are pretty good and reasonably priced but don't assume everything is of good quality and read the labels: "Lidle preferred" is not above using Corn syrup for example. Also, you don't always find what you expect, particularly at the bakery. Altogether this store doesn't offer a pleasant shopping experience, in fact, I'd rate it last, below Food Lion even. Two stars for the selection, none for the shopping experience. Who dreamt up this double conveyor belt system?? A couple of the ladies who work as cashiers are good-natured and try to help but they can't compensate for the fact that the store is under-manned and that some of the employees don't seem to give a hoot. One day a corporate manager who was visiting and talking up a storm to a flunkie about the changes that he'd like to make, so I asked him: "If you want to make a change what about hiring more people?" he replied : "if we hired more then we wouldn't be able to the low prices that you like" A young woman working the register had more common sense than this entitled putz, she told me if it was up to her she'd hire a bunch of new people then quickly weed out the bad ones.... but they don't want to do that. read more

I need to drop my rating and I'm not happy. I've gone in a few times to get some of their specials and they are always out. I figured it was because I went mid ad and it was sold out. I went in this morning, at opening and on the first day of the ad. No smoked salmon they advertised at $2.99. I know low quality but still something with the eggs. There were none to be had. I asked and was told they didn't send any and that seems to be the reason they are always out. Back in the day that was called Bait and Switch. This time they didn't even have the switch. read more

This place deserves no stars! I love Lidl and decided to try this location that is slightly closer to my house. Bad idea! There was absolutely no hand sanitizer at either of the two hand sanitizing stations. No spray or clothes to wipe off your shopping carts either. When I told the attendant she thanked me for telling her but did not address the issue. How can we get through this pandemic with this level of irresponsibility? Don't be fooled with the accepts Apple Pay. I use my Apple Pay all over. When I come here none of the registers accept it. From opening day and still. Don't forget to bring bags they don't supply them of course. Pretty small store like Sam's vs Aldi's. Parking lot was way to small for the traffic opening day. Now I see hardly anyone there so the ada parking spots are now available. Would love to know who got any of the opening day gift cards. We didn't. Hope it improves. Pre packaged deli meats and cheese like fresh so much better. read more

The cashier was not properly trained or doesn't know enough English to be at the register. She had to call the manager two times for the person in front of me and the other cashier had to help another 2 times. I waited and waited. When it came time for me to check out, an item rang up at the wrong, higher price. The other cashier went back to check the price I claimed was posted. I was correct - they were over charging me. When this happened once at the Lidl in Charlottesville, they gave me the item at no charge because it was their error - they told me it was Lidl's policy. The manager at this store did not honor that policy. I had to wait over 10 minutes for all of this to happen, and the manager would not make it right. He claimed the policy must be different in a different "district." A Lidl policy is a Lidl policy for the whole company, not just one store in one city. I won't go back. read more

I had a food item to return. They would not take the food item for return due to the covid-19 and the safety of their employees. I go to checkout and the cashier has a mask around his neck not covering his mouth. I asked him to please put on his mask and he did but with an attitude. If your not taking food item returns because of the safety of your employees then return the favor for your customers during this Pandemic and wear your freaking mask. Also with only one register opened he asked me to move all my items to the counter to bag them. He asked no other customers to do the same. I had over 50 items to reload in my cart take over to the loading counter and then bag them. I will not be returning to Lidl. I'm a regular customer at Aldi and have never been treated in this manner. I will never return to this joke of a grocery store chain. I will shop at Aldi for here on out.
