I love Trader Joe's. It is really hard not to love this place. This TJ's is located on the bottom level of the building. When you turn directly into the garage you will see it on your right. I did not see anything about paying for parking. The food selection had all of the Trader Joe's classics. The service was excellent. We were asked if we needed help more than once. I grabbed a few of the items that I love: chili crisp, everything bagel seasoning, and green onion pancakes. I have many more loves! First time EVER at a Trader Joes *gasp*. This location right off the bat can put me off from even attempting to shop here just because of their location and parking situation. It is in midtown, and they are connected to a parking deck, but there is always a traffic jam just because everyone is always trying to park right in front of the store. Going to the upper levels and just taking the elevator down may be your best bet if you aren't buying a whole ton. Upon walking to the entrance, you are greeted immediately with a wide variety of fresh flowers to pick from. Different types of flowers from lillys, tulips, roses, baby breath, etc. On the smaller side inside. Was pleasantly surprised to see that they were not HIGH on their prices like I thought they would be. Dare I even say cheaper than a harris teeter. They have a variety of fresh produce, dairy, snacks, drinks, wine, cheeses, just anything grocery related. They also have a lot of neat food items to try, such as egg white bites, charcuterie board meats, and mixes, just items you don't really find at other grocery stores such as target or Walmart. Every single employee was super helpful, efficient, and friendly. I definitely will be returning, but when it isn't as crowded. The cashier did let us know that the best days to come were Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Told us to AVOID coming on a sunday because that's the worst day! I come here on a weekly basis. Monique is my go to. She's so sweet, so kind. Lovely spirit. Anytime there's a specific item I'm waiting on, I can put on hold to pick up later. The whole staff is awesome. Never have any issues here the customer service is comparable to Chic-Fil-A. Free sampling is done here on a regular basis. All items are displayed wonderfully for easy access. They also do a bag raffle here if you bring your own bags. I haven't won but I think that's pretty cool. My favorite part is the hours. This Trader Joe's is close to downtown Charlotte and a nice walkable area with a creek and an a walking path nearby. It felt on the larger side as these stores go, which is to say not huge by general grocer standards but big enough to really use it as a primary food source if you were so inclined. I found most of what I was looking for, and what perpetually amazes me about TJ's is that even on a crowded weekend day I wait for no more than one person in front of me in line and I get checked out quickly. Trader Joe's NEVER disappoints. I live in Hawaii and we don't have a Trader Joe's there. So every time I come to visit the mainland, my wife gives me a TJ list for my return trip to Honolulu. I seriously pack an extra bag every where I go to assure that I have room to pack my TJ haul. The parking is plentiful, although it is important to remember that this TJ shares parking with a number of other businesses in the downtown Charlotte area. The staff were EXCEPTIONAL, making my son and I feel like we really mattered, and this is a feeling that was truly needed on this visit. And it conveniently has a parking garage... Major Plus! Ease of parking and beautiful scenery even before entering. There item selections can never compare to other grocery stores. If you're shopping at a TJs, you're definitely shopping for unique goods. I love there prepackaged vegan options and their selection of frozen meals. These are perfect for lunch and lazy nights after a long days work. If you're planning a party or small gathering, then this is the place to shop. There are so many party wary selections to suit any need. The cheese and wines are my favorite. Even when I don't need to, I'm stocking up on these. You can never go wrong at a Trader Joe's. I go to this location at least a couple times a year...and if located closer to home, I'd go much more often! I always liked the place, but wasn't a huge fan of Trader Joe's at first, but it keeps growing on me. Gotta love their super-friendly pricing...then their super-friendly and fast service by their cashiers. More and more, am appreciating their unique selection of foods. I used to only buy things like hand soaps, dog foods and candies...but I've begun buying more foods, especially their exclusive Asian frozen foods. I'm also impressed with their floral selections...much better than the selections at Harris Teeters. Guess I'm finally a full-on fan. This place is a mad house if you're not within walking distance. True there is plenty of parking on multiple levels and enough elevators to accommodate everyone. But I like to walk and I always buy more than I planned to at any Trader Joe's. Walking up flights of stairs because I don't want to wait for an elevator is my norm. I have finally mastered the crazy of the Metropolitan TJs!!! The trick is to go early AM on weekdays. What a difference. We all know the crazy that is Metropolitan and to be honest that is what has kept me from TJs all these years. But now that I have discovered this life hack everything has changed. Not only does going to TJs early on a weekday significantly decrease the stress of finding parking in the chaos that is the garage but inside is way less crowded! I popped in on a Monday morning around 9:30am & was greeted with an insane amount of gorgeous houseplants for only $7.99. Perhaps I'm late, but I knew nothing about this slice of plant heaven. But oh, now that I do everything has changed. I had the best shopping experience. It was stress free, not crowded at all and I parked right up front. The staff was so helpful too! I literally made friends in the store lol. My girl Monique is the sweetest and I can't wait to see her when I go back. As well as Jenna was extremely sweet and helpful multiple times throughout my trip! Everyone just gave excellent customer service and that means so much these days. I must say I am now on the TJs train and so happy to be here! This is a great location, just try and go when it isn't so crazy busy. You'll be much happier. read more

With full disclosure to my review I like Trader Joe's in general and during my travels it's always nice to have one nearby my hotel. This TJ's was within waking distance of my hotel located in a mixed use development in Charlotte. Kind of a cool little vibe with residents, commercial occupants and restaurants all around. The entrance I took was in the parking garage which is kind of hectic. Watch out! It seems many drivers don't look much for pedestrians. Inside this TJ's is a little smaller then what I'm used to but laid out well. It's very similar to the others so you can go to whatever section you want if you just need a few things as I did. The two stars came off as I was very disappointed with the quality of the prepared salads and even just the bare lettuce. It looked like it had already turned yet there it was. I hemmed and hawed about several options but ultimately putting them back as bad lettuce can make it's mark. Not good. The service was good though and once I got what I needed I checked out and went on my way. read more

I found great parking in the shared parking lot and was greeted with an array of fresh flowers at the entrance. Everyone was so nice and the vibe was chill for this to be a grocery store. At checkout I met a diva with a big personality, exceedingly great customer service, and a smile that matches sunshine - I could tell because her cheeks were elevated. Visited Trader Joe's in downtown North Carolina last week and this was a fancy, upscale store right in the middle of swanky office buildings. I loved the layout of flowers outside and having a huge space for all snacks and items indoors. But that's not a bad thing because everything from Trader Joe's is great! They have a variety of items and is really a one-stop shop. Everything from fruits, veggies, dairy, canned goods, frozen foods, beer, wine, etc. And the pricing can't be beat! Such an extensive amount of products for such a cheap price! This location is good, located in the Metropolitan complex. Parking can many times be a little frustrating, depending on what time you go. You may circle around a time or two. But once parked, it's an easy walk to the store. The staff is beyond friendly and helpful and is always willing to grab items for you, that you may have forgotten. Location is terrible for traffic and parking (don't go from 5-7pm on weekdays) but it's near uptown and the parking deck is good if it's raining. There is a Best Buy, Marshalls, and eateries in the same space so you can get other errands done in one trip. read more

Love Trader Joe's! Thought I'd share a COVID19 experience. They are limiting store hours and number of shoppers in store at a time. No reusable bags allowed. I'm watching a TJs crew member clean every single basket. Super impressed with precautions they are taking to keep us safe and healthy. Today TJ earned their 5 stars. I bought groceries there a couple days ago including two ears of fresh corn. When I arrived home I noticed I was charged for 22 ears of corn. I stopped back today, presented my receipt, and presto . . . no problem, man. No questions. Just great service. I shop at Trader Joe's almost weekly, buy lots of wine, cheese, flowers, chocolates, coffee, and Empire Chicken. I even wage war in their god awful parking deck (AKA "the gates of hell"). Great flower selection, worth the drive. They have flowers arriving daily. Open at 8am, best to go when opens for best selection. Parked in garage parking but not far from entrance. No fee for parking. Overall, store is somewhat small and if you're purchasing groceries, can be difficult to navigate what they have based on signs. You can bring your own bag or they can provide for you. They offer black buckets for flowers when buying in bulk,to make it easier to transport. read more

During these uncertain times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Trader Joe's is the only grocery store (I know of) in town which is handling things well. Because they are their own source for their items, they do not have the stock quantity issues of many other stores. (They typically stock for 2 days worth of goods, versus large chains tend to stock for longer, especially for dry goods.) And large chains don't have control of their supply chain. Additionally, they are limiting the number of people who can enter the store at one time, in order to enable proper social distancing. They are also hand sanitizing every cart and lining up entrance and exit areas of the front door so as to minimize cross contamination. They limited their store hours to allow for more time for cleaning over night, but the first hour of the day they are open they are giving elderly customers their own waiting line to minimize how long they have to stand. (As many elderly patrons cannot stand for long periods of time.) Trader Joe's has always been my favorite grocery store due to their fair pricing, high quality ingredients (zero high fructose corn syrup in any Trader Joe's brand product) and reasonable store size. Plus, the atmosphere there is always incredibly welcoming and warm. But their method of handling this crisis has taken them even higher. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Hats off to you, TJs! I lived in CA for 30 years and use to go to TJs all over LA including the OG in Pasadena...I am a HUGE TJS fan. A criteria to where I live is there HAS to be a TJ's nearby. It has tons of delicious snacks, spices, wine/Beer, lots of vegan and veggie items and yummy appetizers to keep in the freezer for any hosting event. It def has a cult following because of the amazing staff and unique food items. They have rocked it during the Covid pandemic re: cleanliness, safety and more importantly... kindness. Trader Joes has always been my go to for grocery needs. They have absolutely knocked it out of the park with their response to Covid-19. They have reduced indoor capacity, thoroughly monitoring the numbers of guests entering and exiting the store, wiping and sanitizing EVERY SINGLE cart and basket for each and every customer. They have clearly marked spaces outside to form a socially distanced line, and they refuse to let anyone enter without wearing a mask properly. The store is clean, organized, and always restocking items to make sure we are able to get in and out without waiting around for an item. If you see a long line outside don't turn around. Get in line, trust me, it moves rather quickly--they've made shopping in their a very efficient experience. read more

It's small but it has all the wonderful trader joe items that you know and love. They also have samples all the time, so you can find a new favorite, or tweak an existing favorite. I really love coming to Trader Joe's because I've never had a bad experience. On this particular trip, I was looking to purchase some jojoba oil. I went to the aisle where i thought it would be and couldn't find it. A Trader Joe's associate immediately saw I was lost & came to help. While it was super busy, I only had to wait in line for 1 min max. I appreciate multiple registers being open. The only negative thing I'll say is that parking is BANANAS! Yes, it is attached to a parking garage, but you're literally playing chicken trying to snag a spot LOL! Parked in the parking garage and the only hazard our drivers also trying to park in the garage as you're trying to walk across the crosswalk to get to the store. The store is my organize, the staff is super proactive and nice. I was scanning the frozen section and young lady walked up to me and asked how my visit was going if I needed anything. She helped me find the crackers that I need to go for a wine and cheese! I didn't get her name. I was standing in the checkout line and another employee who seem actually got because I looked at her name tag said Tashara. She was efficient and pleasant. Social distancing is being enforced at this location. I had to wait a few minutes for customers to exit before I could enter with a clean cart. The store had a good number of customers inside doing their shopping. I stopped a worker for assistance and was directed accordingly. I found the bread and snack bars I came to purchase. Numerous checkout lines were open but, as is often the case, I chose the slow line and had to wait a bit to pay and exit the store. It was all good. Oh, you enter this location from the parking garage, not from the street. Free parking in the deck or 15-30 minute parking on the street. read more
