I'm a huge fan of the Aldi system. Once you get inside their processes, it can work very well for you. Start with having a quarter for a shopping cart. You'll get it back at the end when you bring it back to the cart corral. Inside the store, they have about 80% of the things you need for a full shop. Very little variety in brands or sizes or styles, but they have the stuff. Meats are already cut and wrapped and priced. I think their steaks are a fabulous deal and I've never had a bad one. Veggies are great though the avocados are typically very underipe. Tomatoes, celery, apples, all great! Dry and canned goods, they've got bunches. Brands you've probably never heard of but it's pretty close to the same quality as the brands you have heard of. At the register, you'll be bagging the groceries yourself. Bring your reusable bags, buy bags from Aldi (not cheap) or you can use their cardboard boxes for free. My lips cannot lie. I love Aldi. How can you not love a store that has affordable options? Aldi always has lower prices on vegetables and produce compared to other stores. And they also have a few items on "produce of the week" and then you can get a really amazing deal on top of their inexpensive prices. Depending on the day of the week you come, you might have to carefully inspect your produce that is not in the refrigerated section. But I am finding that I have to do this at all grocery stores now. The chicken here is actually made by Tyson but because they don't label it with that, you can get it at much affordable price. The milk here is ALWAYS priced cheaper than compared to Wal-Mart. If you don't mind generic brand of cereals, less than $2.00 a box and most are less than $1.50 for a full size box. My son doesn't mind and he enjoys picking out his own cereal. If you are not familiar with Aldi, they do not carry a lot of different brands. It is how they can keep their costs down. And if you are looking for authentic German products you can find those here are as well. The bratwurst and sausages here are really quite good. And I really like their brand of paper towels and paper plates. So cheap and the quality is amazing. Just as good as the more expensive national brands. All in all, I love Aldi. I can get healthy choices for my family and all at affordable pricing. On a journey of trying to eat less processed food and Aldi definitely helps by not breaking my pockets in that process. *Don't Shop at this Aldi's Location!* I do like shopping at Aldi's. But however the customer service here is beyond horrible. They lack cashiers. Only have 2 or mostly just one cashier on the floor. There was a young lady who was the cashier here. She started throwing our groceries in the cart with no remorse if it gets damaged. We asked her like are you in a rush? She immediately said "Yes". All she cared about is getting customers out the door. Not thinking about the customer or their concerns. What's even worse is that the managers there don't care enough to hear these types of reviews to make necessary changes so they can provide better customer service. I would give this place 0 stars if I could! Coming here isn't worth the hassle we experienced at checkout. I recommend for anyone to find another Aldi location to shop. read more

Once upon a time, I turned up my nose at ALDI. Who wants to deal with a grocery store that charges for shopping carts and plastic bags? Not I. Upon recommendation of an acquaintance, I gave ALDI anther try after years of heading to other places. IF you are interested in eating lots of produce, ALDI is the place to go. I am legitimately amazed at the amount of fruits and veggies I can get for next to nothing. The grocery store is based on a German model where efficiency is a priority, so they ask that you bag your own groceries (though they will do it if you ask) and bring your own bags. They have them for .10 if you forget. It's also a green way of doing things. Long story short, I walked away with a bag full of produce for $12.56 that included.... 1lb strawberries, bag of spinach, bag of mixed salad, bag of peeled garlic, green onions, bag of 4 zucchini, and 1 can of diced tomatoes. I still haven't tried anything but the produce because I've been brainwashed to be brand loyal. Nevertheless, for produce ALDI is a Must from here forth. read more

I wish I went to Aldi more often. I know, you're thinking "Well just do it then!" But really I've never live close to one. I happened to stop here on a whim one day wanting to check it out and see if anything's changed since the last time years ago. The layout kinda pushes you along. Though here, at least, it's a little more open so that you can circle back if need be. Otherwise, if they were to get crowded you'd just have to know what you need and get it on the first pass. As a little tidbit of interesting info, the founders of Aldi and Trader Joes are related! I guess that shows as both stores present either their own house brands or unknown brands almost exclusively. Quality at Aldi though is far superior to what you might expect. The European standard for layout and selling makes for a way to pass savings on to the consumer. The fruits and veggies, for one, are of quality comparable to most high end grocery stores in my opinion. The meats less so though. There are plenty of boxed/shelf-stable and canned foods. Again, most from a brand you've probably never heard of. But I encourage anyone to give it a shot; you may end up finding a new favorite off-brand of cookies or something! Also, lots of non-food items like cleaning supplies, paper towels, disposable dishes, etc. Last but certainly not least: good, friendly service here AND incredibly affordable. Word of advice, get here earlier or stock will be depleted until the next delivery. read more

I remember the first time going to an ALDI store. I was like "What kinda chaos is going on here?!", until I learned that this was pretty much an indoor marketplace where it's just one seller. You bring your own bags, but they lend you their carts for a 25¢ deposit that you get back. You get fresh, organic foods (they also have some mainstream brands) for a very low price. I would hate to live far from an ALDI store because they truly do have good quality foods for low prices. If you research them, that are the sister store of Trader Joe's. I am regular at this location especially on my way home from Uptown. I like that I can go in, grab what I need, and get out fairly quickly. The fresh fruits and fresh vegetables are a staple for me. When watermelon is in season, I find theirs are always tasty and priced just right! I have become addicted to watermelon because of ALDI. The cashiers are always pleasant and quick to ring up the groceries. Just remember, it's easiest if you bring your own bags. They are good for shopping and carrying your groceries after checking out. read more

I used to go to this store quite often. It used to be one of my favorite stores because of the prices, the friendly staff, and the easy to navigate through and find set up. Not the case anymore. They totally changed the layout of the store, which makes it harder for me to find the things that I usually buy. Their produce is still at a good price, but since they do not store the produce properly it spoils within a day or two. I have noticed since they have let a few people go, the quality of the food has gone down. I have also noticed that the new employees aren't as friendly, and some of them have an "I couldn't care less attitude". Not too thrilled with that. I have started buying my produce from another local store, which I hate, because their prices are too high! Although I never have to take any items back because they spoiled! Aldi's closed the location by my home for remodeling, so I have drive all the way to this place. I love Aldi's cheap groceries, but the staff is never there to check you out. They usually have one line open and approx. 50 people in the store at one time. I don't understand that at least have two people work during the rush hours times. I still like Aldi's prices and hope my store on Mallard Creek open back up soon read more

My favorite grocery store. I shop there first each week. For items that may not be available, i go elsewhere. Aldi's produce is almost always priced lower than its competitors. Vegetables are fresh and plentiful. We eat very little poultry or meat. I have always found the meat to be fresh and lean. There are numerous items and brand that are unfamiliar and I have tried a lot of them, was pleasantly surprised at the quality of many of the brands they carry. The staff is helpful and the checkout is pretty quick. They will open a new line when the line gets long. There are two stores near me, I prefer Sunset Rd, because Prosperity Church store has become too crowded with all the new high rise apps built there recently. read more

The food is very affordable. I'm here every week. The only downside is that the fresh produce is very limited. Which is understandable but I come mainly for fresh food so that can be disappointing. Also watch the cashiers bc they scan things so fast and literally throw them into the cart. I have taken hope a busted cup of yogurt and didn't even know. Make sure you check everything before you leave to see if anything is broken or open. read more

Love the store I shop there weekly. I always find great buys for my money. I've always been able to purchase seasonal items as they become available. I've recently purchased fruits in season on sale and meats for my family that was fresh and delicious. I've purchased a few pieces of lawn furniture there as well. They always have the circular for the following week so you are able to plan your next weeks shopping trip. read more

I'm not sure why it took me so long to find this place. The healthy choices made it even better. If they are out of the cheapest produce in town for example 99 cent pineapples I just swung by Walmart to grab a few and there 2.69 pineapple was price matched. A little trouble but I wanted them! Fit and active choices do the work for us and organic is affordable here! The organic peanut butter and Mac and cheese to start. You can cook a healthy meal every day and pack a healthy lunch for under a hundred bucks. Unbeatable. read more

Aldi is my go to grocery store for most of my produce. Also for soups, dairy, frozen veggies and special buys. However, I cannot recommend Aldi's asparagus in the bag. It is super thin, and half of the stalks are inedible. Second time I have tried them and I've given up. The asparagus is too thin to cook on my grill pan!! Tried roasting and same result. Hard stalks halfway up. Ur only getting half for the price. Stay away from the asparagus!! read more
