I typically do like going to this location as it's easier to find things. The customer service is amazing and always above par. The food is fresh and the store is clean. They typically stock in morning so get there early. My haul!!!

Even though I'd already done most of my shop at the nearby Harris Teeter, I stopped in to Aldi to check it out and see what might fill in. I was quite pleased today. The store features wide aisles and yes, they do the quarter thing to release a shopping cart. Fine with me, I have quarters in the car. Bright lights, lots of good stuff. Unique items that I did not see at Teeter but unlike other stores, Aldi usually only features one brand for each item. You're not going to be able to choose between 35 different varieties of peanut butter here. And that's okay because the quality here is good and the prices are excellent. Checkout is decent. They seemed to have enough registers open for the number of customer shopping on this Friday afternoon. And everyone bags or boxes their own groceries after it's been scanned. I'm okay with this too. I like going to Aldi because I don't have to worry about any shopping cart hitting my car in the parking lot.

I'm a huge fan of the Aldi system. Once you get inside their processes, it can work very well for…read moreyou. Start with having a quarter for a shopping cart. You'll get it back at the end when you bring it back to the cart corral. Inside the store, they have about 80% of the things you need for a full shop. Very little variety in brands or sizes or styles, but they have the stuff. Meats are already cut and wrapped and priced. I think their steaks are a fabulous deal and I've never had a bad one. Veggies are great though the avocados are typically very underipe. Tomatoes, celery, apples, all great! Dry and canned goods, they've got bunches. Brands you've probably never heard of but it's pretty close to the same quality as the brands you have heard of. At the register, you'll be bagging the groceries yourself. Bring your reusable bags, buy bags from Aldi (not cheap) or you can use their cardboard boxes for free. They have been accepting credit and debit cards at the register for a while, which is a big plus for me! [Review 12967 overall, 283 of 2020.]

My lips cannot lie. I love Aldi. How can you not love a store that has affordable options?…read more Aldi always has lower prices on vegetables and produce compared to other stores. And they also have a few items on "produce of the week" and then you can get a really amazing deal on top of their inexpensive prices. Depending on the day of the week you come, you might have to carefully inspect your produce that is not in the refrigerated section. But I am finding that I have to do this at all grocery stores now. The chicken here is actually made by Tyson but because they don't label it with that, you can get it at much affordable price. The milk here is ALWAYS priced cheaper than compared to Wal-Mart. If you don't mind generic brand of cereals, less than $2.00 a box and most are less than $1.50 for a full size box. My son doesn't mind and he enjoys picking out his own cereal. If you are not familiar with Aldi, they do not carry a lot of different brands. It is how they can keep their costs down. And if you are looking for authentic German products you can find those here are as well. The bratwurst and sausages here are really quite good. And I really like their brand of paper towels and paper plates. So cheap and the quality is amazing. Just as good as the more expensive national brands. All in all, I love Aldi. I can get healthy choices for my family and all at affordable pricing. On a journey of trying to eat less processed food and Aldi definitely helps by not breaking my pockets in that process. Bring a quarter for your shopping cart and bring your own bags. If you forget your bags, you can buy bags from $0.10 - $0.79, depending on the type of bag you want.

ALDI - Nice Clean Store. This was the first Aldi's I ever patronized.

Back in my earlier days when I worked in the Hunterville Businss Park as a Chemist for one of the…read moretenants, this was a place I would occasionally go to to pick up something to take home for dinner. Just married and Susan had not moved down yet so a number of very quiet dinners but not by choice. Occasionally dropped in to pick up something after Susan moved down from Pittsburgh but this was never our go to store for groceries and provisions. At that time, store impressed me as having a limited selection and very much a German store with its offering. Store appeared somewhat dated. Time moves forward and I have been to a number of other Aldi's since in Cornelius, Mooresville, Statesville and more recently, Denver when we moved here. It was after moving to Denver and shopping at Aldi's that I began to change my opinion and now I shop here several times a month. Still get the bulk of my produce from Publix, meat from Harris Teeter and dry goods from WalMart this presents a unique niche that I like. Went back over to Huntersville a couple of weeks ago and generally twice a year, they have events where they showcase German food items. This was the fall event and one of my favorites. (Remember that Aldi's and Trader Joes share a common heritage through Albrecht's in Germany) Normally I'll stock up on German cuts of meats, condiments such as Spicy Brown Mustard, Pastries, Spices etc (Note: Aldi's is the go-to place for Spices) Back in the old days, they did not take Amex but now they do. Still have to rent the carts for a quarter which is a distraction because I rarely carry change anymore. If you have a quarter, you will get it back and if you don't, look around because someone else will ultimately check in a cart and leave the quarter in it. Just play it forward and leave the quarter in the cart for the next person. They are like Costco with no bags at checkout but you can scarp a box on exiting. If you're looking for something with a European Feel with good value, this would be good place to check out. It was a big improvement from the first time I went years ago because it looks like the store has undergone at least one remodel and the product selection is better and the value is great. HIghly recommend.

Chicken breasts are also a good choice, but they're less expensive in Harris Teeter. Other stuff? Always inexpensive. Dairy, cheese, sliced meats, produce and the like. You will absolutely save money at ALDI. A couple of things. During the pandemic, they were skipping the rental on shopping carts but that's back now. You will need to bring a quarter for the shopping cart and you'll get that back when you return it. You'll also be bagging your own groceries so remember to bring your reusable bags or you can buy some from the shop. It's always possible that they may have some cardboard boxes available but not definite. Great shop and a friendly person who rang up my sale. I'm especially pleased now that ALDI accepts AmEx as I get 12x points for groceries! [Review 13424 overall, 743 of 2020.]
