Don't waste your money buying plants at the big box stores! This is the place to go.

This is the only local place that I will buy my plants for my garden. Always the best fresh fruit and vegetables locally grown.

Aldi makes me happy. Yes, they're limiting purchases of some meats but you can always walk out and…read morewalk back in if you're feeding a big family. But the prices? Steaks and chicken and pork are cheap, cheap. And the produce is cheap. And the dairy is cheap. I find that I can pick up about three quarters of my family shop here and it costs less than half of what it does at Publix or Teeter. And I have never had a problem with quality like I do from Walmart. The store is clean and well stocked. The staff are friendly and helpful (there just aren't many of them) and the parking lot is clean. Yes, you need to bring a quarter for your cart (this policy is not in force during the pandemic) and you will be bagging your own groceries. They sell bags, so you'll want to bring your own. I really like this location of Aldi. It is pretty clean. It's organized. They usually have…read moreenough registers going. Most of all I like the good prices on their groceries. As I entered tonight there was an employee removing the empty boxes from the shelves and tiding up the shelves from a busy shopping day. There was another employee in the freezer section restocking. They had three registers running with another ready to open if they got backed up. The employees act like they care. I am usually a loyal customer to name brands. At Aldi, I feel confident in buying their store brands. Their crackers, cereal, cookies, and many other items are actually better than the name brands. Their frozen foods are great. The produce is fresh. They also sell some nonfood items. Some toys. Sometimes gardening items. It changes seasonally. Tonight they had holiday decorations on display.

This location is one of three under the Piedmont Farmer's Market umbrella (look for reviews soon of the other two!) My sister and I arrived mid morning to a full parking lot and a bustling market area with everything from flowers to veggies to beef to doggie biscuits. Between us we purchased eggs, sausage, shrimp, string beans, sugar snap peas, carrots, bread cookies and dog treats. Everything we've had so far has been deliciously fresh and flavorful and I'll be sharing a few individual reviews from some of the vendors as well - just to make sure I get the word out about these great folks and their wonderful offerings! The market is open on Saturdays from 8am to noon and starting June 7th, 2011 they will be open from 3pm to 6pm on Tuesdays...if you are in the area, check them out!

I came here to go to the Screamery Creamery food truck. It's really awesome that they have a couple…read moreof food trucks at the market. I got here right as it was closing, so I wasn't able to explore much, but it seemed like they had some good vendors. It was a pretty small market. There were probably 15 or so vendors if I had to guess. If I lived closer, I would come back to check it out again (and definitely to get Screamery Creamery).

My most recent visit to The Stock Market was on a Thursday evening this past July. On a previous…read morevisit to the Concord/Charlotte area, we found The Smoke Pit when searching online for a good barbeque spot near our location. Since they are in the same building, we also discovered The Stock Market. We love the restaurant so much and returned on this trip to the area, so we also made a return trip to the butcher shop this time around. The Stock Market is located on Concord Parkway, just a few minutes off of 85. It is in its own building that is half restaurant and half meat market, but all the same entity. There is plenty of parking in front and on the side of the building. However, it seems to fill up with all of the patrons coming and going! You will have no issue locating the place, as it is clearly marked with signage. Just note that the hours for the store differ from the restaurant, with the store closing earlier. We stopped here just after 5:00 PM, and it was not terribly busy. There is usually a lot of action in the area due to the restaurant, but the market portion has never been overwhelmingly crowded when I have visited. There is a lot of signage to direct and instruct patrons to the correct side of the building for the market. After you enter on the right side of the building, you walk right into the store. This shop is definitely a true butcher shop. There are so many different types and cuts of meat. Fresh, frozen, shelf-stable, and more varieties await you. There are other select grocery items, but you would not be able to complete all of your typical grocery shopping at this one store. They also sell bones and specific items for dogs. We bought our dog a bone, and he loved it! As stated, there are fresh and frozen meat options available. The selection is great, and you are able to find a lot of different types and cuts not typically available in a traditional grocery store. Most of the meat seems to be prepared in-house, but there are also some name-brand items throughout (such as for sausage). There are a lot of options already on the shelves, but I would assume if you were looking for something specific that it could be cut and packaged right there. In the back, there is a fresh meat counter where you can pick your exact weight and have it packed right there. A deli counter is beside it, offering lunch meats and cheeses. It did not look like they produce their own lunch meats, but it is an option if you are in the store. There were also some hot, ready-to-eat items in this area too. There are signs hanging advertising the different bundles that you can buy. There is a Chicken Bundle, Beef Bundle, and Pork Bundle, which all contain 5 different varieties of the respective meat. The total weight is around 25 pounds per bundle. The Variety Bundle allows you to mix and match 5 different types of meat, each in 5 pound increments. This would be a nice way to try different types and cuts of meat or to stock up your freezer. The prices here are decent and comparable to any other meat store. They had a deal on select packages that you could mix and match to get 5 packages for $29.99, presumably presenting some savings. There was also a discount freezer in the rear of the store with items marked down to half off. Though, for the quality of meat and vast selection, the prices here are not too bad. Each time I have visited the store, the staff has been kind and helpful. There are cashiers up front, as well as deli and counter staff in the back ready to serve the customers coming in. We have enjoyed stopping into The Stock Market when we find ourselves eating at The Smoke Pit. It is a nice butcher shop with a good amount of variety and fresh items. The prices are fair, and all of the staff is friendly. Would recommend giving this spot a try if you are local to the area!
